Aladdin chip 256k. Latest cerbios, udma 6 in auto mode (verified with a disk speed tester), default cd path to default.xbe, default dash path E:\Dash\XBMC4GAMERS\Default.xbe, debug=false. Samsung drive and startech adapter 80 pin cable with 2TB Seagate Barracuda. Startech and Samsung DVD suffer a bug which consists in having the dvd drive busy and not functional on cold boot until you issue a full igr reset. Maybe this same thing influences the reset, doing it two times. Not a big time loss for me as it skips the boot animation it's still fast enough to not make me worry at all. What dvd drive and sata adapter (if any) have you?

Cerbios on full reset IGR double reboots on my 1.1 Xbox too, showing the dogs logo twice and then going straight to the dash and I don't have any softmod files installed.
-
Hi this speed test you are using does run on the Xbox itself?
-
I've also noticed that to get the dvd drive working again it's enough to reset the console with the full IGR gamepad combo on cerbios if you don't have xblast or have a single bank hardmod.

I also have the same DVD drive problems. 1.2 Xbox with Samsung drive, startech adapter and Seagate HDD. I also tried various 80-pin ide cables of good-premium quality but nothing changes. If I put my old 120 GB ide drive the DVD becomes fully working again. I found a workaround to get the DVD drive usable when needed on cerbios: After powering on the Xbox, once it gets to a dashboard, invoke a full system reset IGR combo with the gamepad and once rebooted the DVD drive unlocks and exit from the busy state becoming working again. I was thinking until now that this problem was tied only to SATA adapters and Samsung DVDs but seems that other brands are affected too. The good news is that this could be potentially fixed by a custom bios update that implements the logic of the IGR system reset at coldboot/power-on. A sort of double boot, it could make the boot times a little worse but the DVD drive will be usable from first power-on. Maybe this fix could be as an opt-in option in cerbios tool/ini for who needs it.

I hope too that someday someone would port cannonball to the og Xbox as the one from shenmue 2 isn't very faithful to the original memories.

Does this bug happens while playing from xiso as well?

I had very similar issues after placing a new hdd with a sata2ide2 startech adapter and an 80-wire ide cable and the problem was exactly the ide cable. But if you haven't changed anything recently then the problem is something else

I had read that stellaros it's not an on the fly stock bios patcher but a completely legal FOSS reimplementation. The stock retail Microsoft bios reimplementation source code without mods will be released for free and will be compatible with tsop and all the modchips. This doesn't mean that the full stellaros will be released for all the modchips but only the stock unmodified ms bios will be but having a C code reimplementation will mean that bios developers could easily implement new and much more powerful mods and patches like the ones of stellaros because until now the only way to make modified bioses is thru asm hacking and it's very difficult. I just preordered one of these and I hope that even cerbios partitions will be supported along with titan.

Games disappeared but still occupying space
Lisko replied to Lisko's topic in General Xbox Discussion
hi, in the end I redone everything from scratch using fatxplorer and single F partition with 128k cluster size. Now with more games than before it's flawless. Sorry I didn't try to open the drive in fatxplorer before wiping, could have been interesting- 8 replies

Hi, I have a 1.1 xbox with cerbios 2.0.3R, a seagate barracuda 2tb hdd, startech adapter and 80 wire cable from amazon. The problem is that the optical drive works only if cold booted with a disk in. After that I can swap disks without problems and everything is working. If I cold boot without a disk in, and I insert it after a dash has booted after checking the disk the dvd status become Busy (XBMC) or unknown (unleashX). Same for games or audiocd. The only quirk is that if I coldboot with an audiocd and swap for a game, the xbox still see the disk as an audiocd. I also tried m8+ and it's the same. Interesting is that if I set cerbios without the nodvd patch it can't find the dvd drive and frag but if I cold boot with a disk in, it finds the drive and boot as normal. Where could be the problem? Thanks

Hi, I have installed a 2TB hdd and using cerbios 2.0.3R. I installed and partitioned the drive directly from the xbox using xbpartitioner 1.3 and made two extended partitions of about ~927GB. After copying a game today using unleashX ftp, all my old games disappeared but they still occupy space. I notice that the occupied space on the partition right now it's of exactly 130GB, don't know if this is related to the problem. What I've done wrong? Could I get them back or do I need to redownload all of them? Thanks

Team Resurgent releases Repackinator v1.0
Lisko replied to Natetronn's topic in General Xbox Discussion
What I would like from this is if it could get the game infos also from the iso's xbe and not fully depending on its db. Because for now it's not very useful for PAL games as they aren't included in the default db.- 11 replies

Hi, because the mega mirror is down and I don't have 15 posts please could someone look if there is an hdd fix for true crime New York City PAL? I have cerbios and this game is not supported as iso on it so I need the folder format. I tried the ntsc fix but it still hangs at the main menu screen. Otherwise I'll try with ind-bios.XISO. Does the xiso patched ind bios still needs dashloader or can boot isos straight away like cerbios? Thanks

Have you splitted the iso in chuncks <4GiB? Something similar happened once to me when I forgot to split the iso. Other things I would try is to repartition and reformat the drive under cerbios. But also wait for someone more skilled than me on the matter.
-
You don't have access to a PC but for transferring a full redump iso you still need something for splitting the iso image in two parts due to FATX limitations on maximum file size. Then you can just use the xiso to hdd script in xbmc4gamers and will automatically move the isos in their folders with a customized attach.xbe for each game. Or if you have access to a win/mac/linux machine you could just use repackinator and from a redump iso you'll get a folder with a trimmed splitted iso with its own attach.xbe ready to be sent to your box ready to be played on any dash of your choice.

Hi, I have an 1.1 og Xbox running on cerbios 2.0.3. I generally extract the isos and process them with dvd2xbox acl, and for most pal games is enough to let them run in NTSC @ 480p but with San Andreas it just returns to the dashboard if not playing in PAL mode. I also tried with the 480p game loader script from xbmc4gamers but it still runs interlaced. What else can I try? Could a force480p bios be of any help? Thanks
