hello @sweetdarkdestinyI hope you had a nice Christmas I have had a play with your install disk, GREAT JOB!!! I extracted the ISO to Windows and I have to say you have put a lot of effort into this....its more like an archive rather than just an installer. I'm so impressed and it must be a nightmare to maintain, especially with people like me raising changes....... I have found some really minor things that are incorrect or it could be I haven't understood correctly LOL! 1. When using DHCP, the main screen info on the right does not change the default gateway etc, it stays on 192.168.01 even though my gateway is 192.168.1.1. The XBOX IP does change fine. 2. config.xml refers to "You're using:">OGXBox Installer 2021 v1.1.4. \nDHCP Version 3. On the flash BIOS list, the option for "2.2.3. Flash Xecuter Bios (XBox v1.0/v1.5)" to install FlashX v1.2.... is this for v1.6 too? For the Xecuter 2.6 I used FlashX direct, because I wasn't sure if the 2.2.3. was going to ask which bank to flash a 512K BIOS so I quit it before I got to the end. I notice in your BIOS folder a few 1M BIOS that seem to have the 5035 and m8 (x2.5035.137m8plus.fc.137.bin) to flash to bank 1 and 2 so I presume your 2.2.3. can flash both if this is used I plan to put a new 2TB in one of my XBOX's and use your installer from start to finish to install X2 5035 on Bank 1, M8 Plus on Bank 2......(may tweak them on my PC first and play with colours and logos and upload) and then install X4G, CoinOps and Ninja. Hello I've wired this for an internal mod. 720p is amazing but 480p i get moving diagonal line interference. As mentioned earlier in this thread, i was going to add a capacitor across ground and 5v. will this fix it? Do i use ceramic or electrolytic for this? thanks

Thanks @SS_Davefor your reply. Its been over 15 years since I did this I do recall the program you posted on DropBox now! I also have a X3 modded XBOX, if I remember correctly, I can browse from Windows to the XBOX and flash it across the LAN. I presume for the X2 I'll have to FTP or copy via USB stick to hard drive and then use a flashing tool from @sweetdarkdestinyinstall DVD?

Hello Friends I think this has 2 x 512mb banks on this chip. On bank 1 I have xecuter x5035 and when I switch to bank 2 I get a blank screen, so I presume its empty. I am going to use @sweetdarkdestinyinstaller disc 2021 as it has everything! Is there any software to check this correctly? I have tried the BIOS checker on @sweetdarkdestiny installer disc and it doesn't actually state x5035 but one of the dashboards does identify it. I was thinking of keeping x5035 on bank 1 and flash Evox M8Plus_1.6 nodvd on bank 2. I believe x5035 uses a config ini file to modify its settings, and I can use Evox m8 x4gamers EEC and ignore the presence of the DVD drive. I presume I can do this on the x5035 via the ini to point to x4gamers dash and ignore the DVD? If this all sounds right, which app should use to keep bank 1 and flash 2 as there is a x2 flasher software. I can see an x2config under the BIOS on the installer DVD. @sweetdarkdestinyrecommends "2.2. Flash ModChip or TSOP (No Winbond/Sharp TSOP!)." and there is "2.2.3. Flash Xecuter Bios (XBox v1.0/v1.5)." but I have a v1.6 Sorry for all these questions, I have been thinking about this for days and need your advice. Thank you

You spoke too soon LOL! Thanks for the rapid releases, are they just minor bug fixes or adding more features? Hello @sweetdarkdestiny A pleasure to talk to you I didn't know that bridging to fool the xbox was possible! However, I've opened up my other (softmodded) XBOX which is a 1.6 and put the Hitachi in my Crystal 1.6 and it boots fine. This is a great opportunity to use your "all singing all dancing" (as we say in the UK) install disc. I will use the BIOS you recommend. BTW, I noticed that you said to delete those 2 fonts in your thread for v1.0.6, but when you go to the link there's v1.0.7 have you fixed it in this version? All the best and thanks for your help

Hello Friends I got my 1.6 Crystal modded with XE2.6 chip down from the loft. It still worked loading the games off the HD! However, it wouldn't eject, so I took it apart and replaced the rubber belt and that fixed it. Next the drive wouldn't read clean original discs, so I cleaned all the dust away, cleaned the runner rods and replaced the grease with a metal / plastic lubricant, but no luck. So I tested the POT resistance which was 1.35k ohms. I carefully adjusted it slowly by 0.1k ohms steps. When I got to about 0.9k ohms the XBOX would just turn on for a second and turn off, then on and off and now flashing red lights on the eject button. I opened up the DVD case and as expected, the laser isn't working. So I presume the laser has died and because of this the XBOX won't boot? I plan to swap my working DVD drive to prove its the DVD thats died and thats why it won't boot. But I thought modded BIOS's removed the dependancy of must having a DVD drive? If I remember I flashed the X5035 BIOS many years ago. Does this mean this BIOS does have the DVD drive dependancy and I need to upgrde the BIOS to a later version? Once I test this XBOX with my working DVD drive, should I use @sweetdarkdestiny's OGXBox Installer 2021 to upgrade the BIOS? If so, what one should I use? Hello. I'm going to replace my hard drive soon, so I'm going to be opening my XBOX up. I modded it with X3 and the led buttons on the left facing and LCD on the right probably over 10 years ago. So this is a good time to remove the capactor. I'm a bit nervous messing about inside too much in case I screw up the mod. So I presume I can use my clippers to remove it and isopropol alcohol to mop up any leak. But is it essential to clean up underneath the board as well, or do you think its best to take a chance and leave it? Thanks in advance

Hello I have an X3 modded XBOX. I've noticed a thread elsewhere on OGXBOX mention the Origins 2TB from Arcade Punks. So I'm giving that a go out of curiosity. I'm still trying to use MultiPAR to fix the RAR files with the PAR2 files. Then I'll jump on the torrent to finish it. But I have other consoles and Launchbox set up so emulation isn't the main driving force, its the XBOX games and homebrew. I'm just wondering if there is a full 2TB XBOX games image anyone recommends or should I go with, that has all the boxes on view like I have set up in Launchbox? I current have XBMX4XBOX as my dashboard. If I remember correctly, is there a Windows app that I can transfer the extracted images (I presume its still this way rather than copy the ISO) to the drive while attached to my PC as this would be much quicker? Yes I like the idea of the HDMI mod! I have found that XBMC set to 1080i passthrough looks the best... but just as a test I plugged the component cable into the Samsung jack plugs converter that has the RCA female connector as there is no connectors on these new Samsung TVs. I have to admit even though the OSSC is using passthrough the picture quality was so much better....not sure if its the OSSC or the Samsung convertor that came with the TV. I would be interested how much better the HDMI looks, but I think its very expensive to ship to me in the UK? Cheers

Just wanted to say THANK YOU once again. I've been going through these scrape and its probably 10 years since I last looked at this stuff, especially the memory banks and BIOS flash as I just couldn't remember what the LED buttons bank switches need to be set.

Thanks, I set 480p passthru and on the dashboard set to 1080i to passthru too. I'm pleased that even on my 75 inch TV its quite a good image with rich colours. I'm glad I bought this (monster?) component cable from a seller in the US many years ago!

Yes I did have my component cable attached to my TV in one of those Samsung 2.5 inch jack plugs that split into the component and audio. I'm still going to have a go with the OSSC as the picture quality was a bit soft. You can set passthru and add scanlines to give a more nostalgic look and tweak other things with a 480p signal. I am right in that its best to set the BIOS to NTSC as PAL only outputs 480i ? I believe the TV should also be set to "gaming mode" to avoid the TV attempting to tidy up the image an avoid lag. Thanks I'll look into that. The OSSC makes my Mega Drive look amazing, I just presumed the same could be achieved on the XBOX.

Hello everyone from a lockdown England I have just bought an OSSC and have a component cable for my x3 modded XBOX. Its a UK XBOX and I have set the BIOS to NTSC to allow for 480p RGB output. Does anyone have any experience or recommended OSSC settings for my UHD TV? Could you share your profile json? Thanks in advance

Dear All I have always loved my XBOX. I've bought the OSSC and intend on using my composite cable with it on my 75 inch Samsung UHD TV if I can persuade the wife to let me interrupt the soaps she likes to watch I have 4 XBOXs. My main XBOX I modded with X3 and added the LCD and lit coloured buttons to it. Even to this day I think it looks great and stylish. I look forward to chatting with you all. Cheers
