  1. Hello Friends I have been looking for this for a while. I know the emulators have lists but a list that has: Works extracted on HDD Only runs on ISO only due to file path length and some other reason... Doesn't work, Disc only Thanks in advance
  2. Hello friends I have bought a couple of faulty controllers off ebay to repair. The first one I succesfully replaced the sticks with XBOX360 ones, added pots and successfully calibrated precisely to the centre the sticks using XBCD from https://www.s-config.com/xbcd-original-xbox-controllers-win10/ The second controller when testing there is no "+" on the left stick (as attached). I've replaced the sticks, but its still the same. The controller had been opened so it could be a botched upgrade. The strange thing is I have searched Google for hours and I cannot find a single post with any type of controller with this issue! The traces look OK except a couple of pads on the 3 legged pot control. When soldering a new stick I quickly checked the traces to the soldered legs and I get continuity. I will investigate this further, but normally with botched upgrades you do get a signal with the "+" usually stuck on the edge of the square. Is there anything obvious I could check first? Thanks in advance
  3. Hello friends What's the easiest way to hide the applications menu so that the kids don't mess about with the apps? I did rename the "Apps" folder thinking if there was no apps then the menu wouldn't show but it still appears and (of course) says invalid path when selected. Thanks in advance
  4. Hello All I use extract-xiso.exe in Windows, just drag and drop the xiso onto the exe to extract the ISO to a folder named after the ISO file I do this on all the xiso images before I attempt to burn them. Cheers
  5. Thanks for your reply @KaosEngineer That image is from another thread here on ogxbox https://www.ogxbox.com/forums/index.php?/topic/195-questions-and-other-stuff/page/2/ posted by @XC-3730C After more Googling, I finally found it. If you search for "original xbox green backgrounds" you'll find the background image and I added it as the background on the root using up for view. No wonder I couldn't find it LOL! Cheers
  6. Hello All I've been looking for this theme for days.... I have seen it mentioned elsewhere but no link, only the posters.jpg. How do I get the green footer to appear? Is it in the Textures.xpr? I've lookd through it and can't find an image that looks like its this footer so I can replace it and repack my own XPR. Also, on the root menu I can only get flat jpg posters and when replacing with 3D png's in Textures.xpr its flattened to jpg. When I change the view to 3D I can't get the image to change to my png 3D covers. I've tried _Resources but thats ignored. Thanks in advance
  7. Hello Friends I'm configuring Ninja Ultimate and I wondered how I can update / add emulators to it. For example the PCSXbox reloaded uses hardware acceleration so I wanted to change use it instead. For example, I can see AtariXL.xbe and defaultAXL.xbe. I presume the latter is a shortcut to the former which is AtariXLbox modded for Coinops? OR, is this calling the XBE under my F:\Emulators folder I have been searching for days to try to find info and everything points to the PC versions these days. Thanks in advance
  8. @sweetdarkdestinyPDF viewer but this is a 15+ year old console! I'm currently looking at 720p patches and some are great and some not so and crash. I'm trying to re-introduce the XBOX to my 20's year old sons to show them that other than graphics (hence 720p patching) gameplay is what makes great game. Destroy all humans for the atmosphere and fun is my kind of game. Cheers
  9. @sweetdarkdestiny Thanks mate, I didn't think your installer disc could get any better! I forgot I had mentioned about the DGW not updating with DHCP main screen. I was using the ORIGINS image and wanted to convert it to XBMC4GAMERS so rather than transferring all the games to F & G again and wanting to remove all the softmod stuff I wondered how to achieve this. All I did was load your disc, saw the format C & E and then it reinstalled all the vital stuff to get it up and running again. Brilliant stuff!!!!! And I've got an OpenXenium to install, well because I can!! so you've added just what I need! I hope you're feeling much better now too. All the very best and stay safe AtariSoul
  10. Thanks @RetroEmulationNation @sweetdarkdestiny not as many as I thought I think I also read Monster Garage was too??? Stay safe
  11. Hello All I know there are some games like HP prisoner of Azkaban that won't work because of long file paths, etc. Does anyone know of a full list of games that don't work? I have read that you can use the ISO mounted on a virtual drive with softmod but my XBOX is hard modded so I'm not sure if this would work? thanks in advance AtariSoul
  12. Hello Everyone I have the XBOX Origins 2TB image. All my XBOXs are hardmodded and I want to use XBOX4GAMERS. I want to keep the games on the image to save time copying again. This image has NKPATHCER so am I right to assume its a softmod image? Is the uninstall option on the NKPATCHER menus suficient to remove the softod? I have FATXPLORER so my ultimate aim is to remove everything thats not essential and leave the games and COINOPS so I can start with a bare image and add what I want. Thanks in advance
  13. Yes take care and get better soon. Don't worry about the installer, the most important thing is you have taken the action to prevent the issue happening until you feel better. All the best. AtariSoul
  14. Thanks @SS_Dave I have the Xecuter 2.6 working I did solder to the d0 pad. Rather than try to wire in the pin header to the trace I fixed, I followed the trace to another location, carefully used a fibre glass pen to expose the round pad and soldered there. Thanks for your help as always Cheers AtariSoul
  15. Hello All I bought a faulty chipped 1.6 off of ebay. I removed the LPC rebuild board and I notice a pulled contact. I think I've managed to retrace it, I checked continuity and it was OK and it booted! See attached picture. I don't want to use the rebuild board but I am going to do a wire rebuild. There are lots of pcitures around with various wire rebuilds. Some use slightly different wiring and state a rebuild for Aladdin or Xenium. Are all rebuilds all the same for every modchip, so I can follow any of them? Also, I am quite nervous of trying this as it took a lot of patience to do the retrace. Should I use a glue gun or polyimide film tape to make sure the retrace doesn't come loose or am I tempting fate and should just leave it alone? Are there any points I could use instead? Thanks in advance AtariSoul
  16. Hello All, I hope you are well Thanks for your email @SS_Dave Yes I have seen the component box and I have a spare to try this on.... but alas my attempts to get the wii2hdmi mod working have gone from bad to worse. I had a working v1.6 wired to the underneath of the AV port, fantastic 720p and 1080i on the dashboard, but moving diagonal lines interference that comes and goes on 480p in games. As you suggested, I replaced all 5 of the 3300uf 6.3 v caps with 3300uf 10v as I noticed on my v1.4 a 3300uf 10v cap was blown on my v1.4, so thought I'd save time and order a load of 10v caps. My v1.6 worked after replacing the caps but the ***king interference was still there. I ordered another wii2hdmi and installed it, but the colour was b&w so I rechecked and soldered the replacement and thats when the FRAG started. WTF. I checked the gold clock cap and I think that went bad as I could not get an increasing resistance, just OL even after removing it. But I replaced it because I know v1.6 has to have it. Still got a FRAG. I've ordered an ESR meter to properly test the caps because I can only test the resistence on the meter I have. Do you think the 3300uf 10v caps have caused an issue? I thought as long as the cap voltage was higher then it would be fine with a matching 3300uf? I will test all the 10v and original 6.3v caps when the ESR meter arrives. This v1.6 has a xecuter v2.6 and I read the FRAG could also relate to a dodby flash, but it was all working before. I even could disable the chip on the switch and boot without a dvd to get the standard error screen. Now nothing but 3 attempts at booting and then FRAG. I thought if I de-soldered the d0 on the LPC converter, remove the modchip from the header it would at least boot. but no. I wish I'd just made an external wii2hdmi from a spare AV cable I have now. My wife says why don't you give up, but its the challenge of fixing it that prevents me from putting a hammer to it LOL! I have 4 other XBOX's I want to TSOP as I haven't done that before, and install a Xenium. Thanks AtariSoul
  17. @SS_Dave I like your idea of using ethernet cable wires I always test with the PCB in the base of the case. I have read a lot of your posts on this and have tried the following with no success. 1. Tested resistance between outside of ethernet port and 5v on the board...0 ohms... good ! 2. added cap across 5v and ground on board. 10uf 10v no difference, 100uf 16v slightly better, 220uf 10v a little better. The moving diagonal lines come and go now. 3. soldered the HDMI case mount underneath board to ground next to pr/pb/y 4. tried different monitor and HDMI. -- Before I give up with the internal mod, I think I have 2 more options to try 1. replace all the 5 3300uf caps on this v1.6 XBOX (and the clock cap too while I'm at it) 2. solder shorter wires...a bit difficult when soldering to the AV port pins underneath and I will try ethernet wires (24awg) as you have suggested. I can see that several others with this moving diagonal lines problem too on 480p but the picture on 720p and 1080i is rock solid and deep colours. No one seems to have posted a solution unfortunately. Thanks for your time an patience
  18. Hello @SS_Dave Happy New Year I tried different caps I have... 16v 100uf made a very slight improvement, then 25v 10uf same as without a cap. Last I tried a 10v 220uf which was slightly better than the first, but its still got the moving diagonal lines. It comes and goes, sometimes its not there and then it starts getting more noticeable. As in the diagram above, I have pin 1 on the PCB underside connected to the pin 1 on the front of the board (the yellow ones) Do I need a better ground? I noticed in a previous post you suggested a point on the board that's connected to the HDMI outside metal. Do I need to find an alternative 5v supply rather than pin 1 on the XBOX AV port? I have not removed the existing AV port, but soldering underneath it directly to the pcb Thanks in advance
  19. Thanks @sweetdarkdestiny I did try what @SS_Dave suggested but XBLAST said "unsupported modchip" so I just used 5.2.1.7. FlashX v1.2 XECUTER on your disk. I'm looking forward to the new build, I have bought more DVDR's so I'm ready BTW, you CAN eat christmas but it makes you put on weight, I blame it on the beers...hick! All the best and Happy New Year
