  1. XBpartitioner is just finicky sometimes. The only thing you can do is keep trying and eventually it will work. One thing that seems to help is to first format it in some way that you don't actually want, exit and launch XBpartitioner again and reformat it how you actually do want it.
  2. Some issues regarding Sharp TSOPs came to light earlier today, so I had to fix them and release a new build. I'll add the new download links to the OP as they go up. Changelog.: - Edited the sharp.bin BIOS file (EvoX M8+) to disable the DVD drive check. - Corrected an error which prevented the sharp.bin BIOS file from being copied to the HDD.
  3. Uh... This is a significantly outdated build. Use this recent updated version instead.
  4. Is there any other kind of screw that could be used with an Xapt3r? I have one of the 1.0-1.5 model Xapt3rs, but the screw is incredibly fragile and has broken, making the Xapt3r useless.
  5. I was dumb and forgot that I could have just packed the .iso into a .rar. I've now edited the OGXbox download to do just that though.
  6. They do work, they just aren't the best solution.
  7. The issues were with 1.4/1.5 Xboxes, and Xboxes that have had their shielding removed. I've used it. They're servicable, if you have no way to use component, but if you can, I'd definitely recommend the official Microsoft component cables (or making your own) over the Pound HDMI. Or if you really need HDMI, maybe look into the N64Freak HDMI cable.
  8. The Hitachi drives can only be found in the final 1.6b revision (and not all 1.6b units have one), so they aren't that common, since they were only being made at the end of the Xbox's manufacturing run. Your 1.0 definitely had its drive swapped if it came with a Hitachi.
  9. No need at all to replace it. But whether you replace it or not, still remove the current one ASAP. The longer you wait, the more likely it is to cause serious damage and there's a strong chance it's already leaking.
  10. What's weird is that, until recently, the HDE ones were the recommended ones and I was always seeing people say to stay away from StarTech, so I always used HDE. I have bought quite a few HDEs because of this and have never had a problem with them, except for one that arrived dead. Though I have always had to slap some electrical tape on the HDD to avoid the connector short out that KaosEngineeer mentioned. However, due to some more recent concerns that have been popping up, I won't be using these anymore and will start using the StarTech one from now on for any future Xboxes I acquire.
  11. Nice. That's a Hitachi DVD drive in the third pic. Those are uncommon. For sure, TSOP flash all of your Xboxes though. Or chip them, if they're a 1.6. Make sure you also remove the clock capacitor from all of your 1.0-1.5 Xboxes, because they'll die if you don't.
  12. I mean, they look just like the ones I've used. I never actually measured the size though. I just bought them, slapped them on and they worked.
  13. Just a heads up to anyone who hasn't seen the edits to the OP. I've updated the release with a few extra changes, so if you haven't already burned a disc, you may want to redownload.
  14. I've used 360 replacement belts in Thomson, Samsung and Hitachi original Xbox DVD drives without any problems.
  15. Weird. lol. No idea why it would do that. I made a minor update to the initial release, if you wanna try it again and see if it works for you now.
  16. I made a few changes to HeXEn 2017 to... well, update some of it. There's certainly a lot more that could be done, but I didn't feel like it was necessary to go all-out on it, since the disc is primarily just used for TSOP/modchip flashing and building new HDDs. But with flashing in mind, there were some issues that should have been addressed, which were 1) editing the EvoX M8+ BIOS files to disable the need for a DVD drive on boot up (because it makes no sense to keep that restriction enabled) and 2) removing the ability to flash iND-BiOS 5004.06 (F only), since it is apparently broken and just bricks the TSOP/modchip. Full changelog: - Changed the default.xbe's title to "HeXEn 2018". - New menu background image. - Main menu's network type is now set to DHCP. - Updated all EvoX M8+ .bin files (including sharp.bin) to remove the DVD drive check by default. - Removed iND-BiOS 5004.06 (F only) because it bricks the TSOP/modchip it is flashed to. - ind-bios.cfg now supports 480p by default. - Corrected an error which prevented the sharp.bin BIOS file from being copied to the HDD. - Partially rewrote the TSOP/modchip flash menus to make things more clear and to correct spelling/grammar. - Updated XBMC to include JCRocky5's 480p Game Loader scripts (useful if you have a 1.6 Xbox, otherwise it can be ignored). - Updated Chimp261812 to JCRocky5's latest release. - 1080i support is now disabled by default (because it slows the Xbox down if enabled). - UnleashX .xbe file replaced with a patched version that doesn't automatically create UDATA folders for all .xbe files it sees on the HDD. -Updated the main menu's skin.xml file to display more system information to the user (on the right-hand side of the screen), and changed the color scheme of the options menus, dialogue boxes, file explorer, keyboard, etc. to better match the background image (no more of UnleashX's default ugly blue scheme clashing with it). - Various other spelling and grammatical fixes. - Other general housekeeping. As for the rather bland new menu background, I had to go for a very minimalistic design, because I suck with Photoshop, lol. It gets the job done though. OGXbox download link. MEGA download link MediaFire download link
  17. Yeah, I actually ended up grabbing the game on GOG, but then I noticed that the SW.grp file actually is included in this download. I just didn't see it because Windows doesn't show the extension for it. It just appears as "SW" instead of "SW.grp."
  18. Any chance for a standard Mega or MediaFire upload? Clicking on the download button doesn't do anything. EDIT: Never mind. I got it. For some reason it just took several attempts for it to finally work. EDIT: 2: What do you mean by "copy sw.grp to the folder where you installed xShadow"? Is this necessary to run the game and if so, why is it not included in the download?
