Yup those transistor blout out if you put the mobo in the wrong case, and yes is pnp not npn, I don't know what I thinking when write my first comment Here go a trick if you damage some of those transistor and the local store don't have surface mount, put a 2n3904 in replacement, is the same transitor the difference is the pin out and package, but is easy do it just compare the datasheet and check what pin is colector, what is emissor and base, them solder in the place of the pads, that's how I fix my console on the cheap I guess the trick works too for the mmbt4403 reemplacing by 2n4403 vertion

Yeah my 1.6 almost die by that, I put my motherboard in a 1. Something case bough in Mercadolibre and blout out a transitor, for my lucky was easy to fix, just put another npn transistor there and done, the next stuff is cut the metal from the screw hole and reassemble the console

Yup that's right, those drivers are old and specific one so is dificult find one that the original xbo drive, luckily for me my drive still working well after all this years just needed a maintenance in the tray mechanism, anyway, reading the info I noticed my first xbox was a early 1.0 with seagate hdd, usb daughter board,conexant codec(who I love the sound quality of that) and I guess a thomson drive I dunno the only stuff I remember about that is that drive distroyer my original copy of project ghotam racing 2, halo 1 and 2. by the way I still having laying around the daughter usb board from my first xbox. So making maths my first xbox was purchased in December 2001 just fresh out of the oven.... But sadly that console was history a lot time ago

Well a little history behind this dvd drive, my first console was a 1.0 xbox with dvd drive fault(the one who distroy disk) bad power supply and caps disaster, so in the 2010 or 2012 that console decides die frying the nvidia chipset the mpcx3 or something but that was the last time turn on.... anyway the think is the first time that console fail my father take to a repair shop (change the dvd drive) so that dvd drive Has been with me since 2005, so today I disassemble that dvd drive coz It was getting stuck when open or closed the tray plus bad motor belt, so the interesting stuff I found is the dvd drive was hacked or modded with wires soldered inside to specific points I remember read something about that a lot time ago modding lg dvd drivers and flashing a custom firmware in the drive but I dunno if was true or just a random guy on internet, anyway here some pics about that mod also to make work that driver I need grab power from the hdd molex connector The yellow wires end in the dvd conector on the Xbox make work like a original one

Yup, I know it, the no-dvd bios is a paint in the ass if you mess with the hdd or the dashboard, unable to boot from dvd if you make a upsie, thing I do the last month Anyway hanging on the thear this modchip only works with evox bioses? And is possible disable the logo in the corner? Also, is possible rid off the clock cap in the 1.6 board?

Right now yes coz it is repaired, I fixed my console with xboxhdm2.2 usb and my old lga775 with IDE port, via hot swap method, with that I can create all the partitions and stuff needed, and the last stuff I need do was copy the dashboard to c via xplorer 360 in windows 7 and that's it, the last thing I do is flash the bios without the noDVD

Okay my x is alive again, how I managed restore the hd, well using the xboxhdm usb 2.2 slax with all the stuff I need in a small sata hdd, so I boot from there and then i did all stuff for a new hdd also install the dash, I dunno why But the x was refused to boot and sitting on error 21, them with the HDD unlocked I boot windows 7 and navigate via x360 manager, open the HDD, and copy all the stuff from the cd I had (the same utility but old maybe is 1.7 or something) the think is I remember that cd was ready to go with unleash dashboard, anyway I copy the c folder to my hdd and them boot from the Xbox, and wala is alive, the next think I did was flash the tsop without the noDVD in case I made another stupid think and reinstall the hexen dashboard

Well i make the situation worse, I don't remember when but I locked the HDD so I need use hot swap method, and luckily I found my cd with xboxhdm idk what version is but boots and works so I'm using that, now that cd don't want make a partition in the HDD I can format with option 5 format fatx table partition but I can't redo then and e partitions So thinking about I had a 120gb sata hdd and usb converter so the idea is make akother hdd and use the cloning option in the xboxhdm with all the stuff installed ready to go, so I download the vertion 2.3 beta and the .zip from reddit....

right now noting coz my x is in the limbo, i make a upsie and now i cant boot hexen dvd or any stuff.... also download i borrow from a friend the pgr2 so i had a 6.2gb iso in my hdd ready to try, but first i need fix my x

Hi people, welp I make a upsie in my Xbox trying run pgr2, first try copy several times the game over ftp but noting works so I think well maybe is the installation of dashboard so I put another installer in my x, I guess is evox someting, was a old dvd from 2010 or 2008 based on evolutionx dash and green radioactive backgroun, anyway the trouble is, boot to original dashboard but can't boot from DVD coz I flash the DVD check disable bios so cant make a cold boot from hexen dvd to try reflash the custom dash also can't boot from original game still saying the disk is not a original one, ohhh almost forgotten say my version, is a 1.6 board with aladdin xt2 plus, evox m8 firmware with dvd check disable, I guess I need make the hot swap between my pc and the Xbox hdd, ohhh alsothis console came with a bigger hdd When I bought it but that hdd is dead (head crash ) so I put another "working" IDE drive I had laying arround the house and say working coz this disk had some bad sectors is not like 1000 bad sector just 3 sectors and works fine until I made the stupid think but that's not the point, so my question is any possibility to recovery the dash without pc xbox hdd swap, is not a problem do that I had a old desktop pc with IDE interface but I can't find my cd with linux s.o and all the stuff for softmod I burn years ago (2006 or 2007 and still working that cd) or There is a better way to flash a custom dash and boot the hexen disk

well bad lucky for me this acl don't work, i dunno why, anyway my console is hacked with aladdin xt2 or someting like that, the one who was dirty cheap on ebay, and installed the modded dash with hexen dvd including bios with dvd check, thinking about that could be the dvdcheck mod....

well i'm new in this site and recently i got a og xbox 1.6 so I copy a lot of games but the most wanted for me and i can't play is projec ghotman 2 the game stay in the firts part and say error disk is dirty or bad, so I copy 3 times the game and extrac the same from the 7zip file and still the problem so, i'm thinking maybe is the xbe file, so i dunno if somebody had a working defaul.xbe for pgr2 ntsc or how fix that problem yuo i know the best way is downlad copy the orignial game to the hdd again, but sadly my original copy of this game is in really bad shape, victim of v1.0 dvd drive yup my firt xbox was a 1.0 model who decides fry the nvidia chipset after 12 years (power supply problem plus caps leak) leave me alone in the 2011 anyway so if anybody had a funtional .xbe for this game plz give me a copy, i dont want download a redrump just for that

Zup bro, just for say thanks for the work now my Xbox is alive I got a shattered 1.6 really cheap, after 1 year is like new, new case, DVD drive working, aladdin chip installed and a 128gb hdd(this is Provisional) I waiting the sata2IDE converter and put a 500gb hdd) also when I bought this the motherboard was pre hacked with wires so this just need a chip and that's it, anyway I flash the noDVD check bios thinking on the next update... So right now what's next?, just copy a lot of games to the hdd? Install emulators or use like media center I dunno this is a new word for me
