  1. Hi, I have just finished transferring the complete (or as close as possible, all NTSC and most PAL games) Xbox game collection to my 2TB X3 Xbox. I say complete but i am missing the "Club Football" games as there is about 20 of them and they are petty much all identical..... I will pick one club and put both of their games on but i haven't decided yet. I have about 26Gb of space left on my G drive which i am planning to use to go through the few Jap exclusives and add any that are actually playable without knowing Japanese Its taken me the best part of a week to FTP it all across doing as much as possible each evening, had a few issues along the way, such as overheating a couple of times and even had a catastrophic hardware failure which resulted in me having to butcher another xbox for its motherboard to get my beloved x3cp xbox back up and running!! I managed to fit all these games in to 2TB by using a combination of extracted folder games and ISO's. I used ISO for those games that have 1000's of files as all those small files dont play well with a 64k cluster size. The ISO's do actually take less space on the hard drive!! Im running the excellent XBMC4Gamers as my dash (Thanks Rocky5) This is a fantastic dash and has provided everything from full artwork for EVERY game, to being able to patch a BFM bios to play the ISO file games. This has bought my xbox back from being unused and stuffed away in the loft to sitting under the TV in the front room where it deserves to be.

  2. I made a few changes to HeXEn 2017 to... well, update some of it. There's certainly a lot more that could be done, but I didn't feel like it was necessary to go all-out on it, since the disc is primarily just used for TSOP/modchip flashing and building new HDDs. But with flashing in mind, there were some issues that should have been addressed, which were 1) editing the EvoX M8+ BIOS files to disable the need for a DVD drive on boot up (because it makes no sense to keep that restriction enabled) and 2) removing the ability to flash iND-BiOS 5004.06 (F only), since it is apparently broken and just bricks the TSOP/modchip. Full changelog: - Changed the default.xbe's title to "HeXEn 2018". - New menu background image. - Main menu's network type is now set to DHCP. - Updated all EvoX M8+ .bin files (including sharp.bin) to remove the DVD drive check by default. - Removed iND-BiOS 5004.06 (F only) because it bricks the TSOP/modchip it is flashed to. - ind-bios.cfg now supports 480p by default. - Corrected an error which prevented the sharp.bin BIOS file from being copied to the HDD. - Partially rewrote the TSOP/modchip flash menus to make things more clear and to correct spelling/grammar. - Updated XBMC to include JCRocky5's 480p Game Loader scripts (useful if you have a 1.6 Xbox, otherwise it can be ignored). - Updated Chimp261812 to JCRocky5's latest release. - 1080i support is now disabled by default (because it slows the Xbox down if enabled). - UnleashX .xbe file replaced with a patched version that doesn't automatically create UDATA folders for all .xbe files it sees on the HDD. -Updated the main menu's skin.xml file to display more system information to the user (on the right-hand side of the screen), and changed the color scheme of the options menus, dialogue boxes, file explorer, keyboard, etc. to better match the background image (no more of UnleashX's default ugly blue scheme clashing with it). - Various other spelling and grammatical fixes. - Other general housekeeping. As for the rather bland new menu background, I had to go for a very minimalistic design, because I suck with Photoshop, lol. It gets the job done though. OGXbox download link. 3. So i recently bought these two controllers from a man in singapore, he said he used to work for microsoft back in the day and even recieved a launch team edition xbox for working there. I saw he had these two controllers and decided to buy them. I would like help in identifying what they are and if they are prototype controllers or rare unreleased versions. I dont believe they are custom controllers though given the stickers on the back.

  4. To be honest, I don't think I could do any more mods unless I use at least six relays for it. This one has only five. LOL! I have stock for this so I will definitely be trying something once my OGX360 arrives. Thank you so much, @Anarchy42085. I know you love doing up these drawings and I can see that you put your heart into it. I think we are in an exciting time again with the OG Xbox. (BTW, I just ordered a bunch of RAM so I'm going to be doing that upgrade shortly too.)

  6. @TEK Nemesis, your switch idea really got me thinking about this tonight. I've been wondering how i would hardwire one of these ogx360 boards in. Even though Ryzee said that you can hardwire it without a relay, how do you hardwire on a port that already has something hardwired and relayed. thats where your relay switch idea comes in. it was the last piece to my puzzle. I've finally got it mapped out for my next build. Thought i would share the final diagram with you, i know you've messed with the xerc and built in IR dongle already and are probably trying to figure out this same thing. Now this is all just "in theory" but it looks ok to me. Feel free to leave input if something looks wrong.

  7. That looks great, @Anarchy42085. What about a DPDT to also power off the OGX360 at the same time?

  8. I feel like that could be done if you use a switch. you wouldnt even have to isolate your 4 ports. I could draw up a diagram for this idea, but as ryzee said, you can hardwire this to all 4 ports and as long as you have no wireless controllers connected, you'd be able to use your ports. The relay and switch idea would work but it wouldnt really be anything that you couldnt do without the string of 4 relays on this grounding switch too. The concept is great for a wireless receiver or a dvd dongle pcb because these dont disconnect, ever, but because the ogx360 disconnects the usb when nothing is connected, the efforts are too great for a switch that does what you can already do without it. If i was going to build one in internally, i think i would just hardwire all 4 arduinos and then install an external usb so i could change between my 360 receiver and my 8bitdo receiver. I dont think i would go with my previous diagram of relaying the arduino's after Ryzee reminded me that they disconnect when nothing is synced to them. If the arduinos didnt disconnect though, this would be the perfect way to build them in, with a switch. The only real thing that the relay string on the switch would do would be to protect you from connecting 2 devices to the same port at the same time. the xbox doesnt know what to do when it happens and it usually locks up the port until you reset the box.

  9. I'm thinking about doing an internal mod with an additional panel-mounted USB port added to the Xbox with a relay. If the Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver is plugged into this USB port then all four front panel controller ports are disabled and the OGX360 takes over. @Anarchy42085 @Ryzee119 Your thoughts?

  11. I used the ISO method for the few games that dont work form HDD (there are a few) and also for games that had THOUSANDS of small files. The small files dont play well with a 2tb drive due to cluster size. The 3tb had 64k cluster size and any file smaller than that will always take 64k on the drive. This means that these games will take more space than expected on the hard drive. I believe this is the only way i got as many games as i did onto the xbox. I have probably approx 100 games as ISO. If you are using a 2tb hard drive then you will need to use XB Partitioner to make sure that your F & G partitions are both 927Gb. Take a look at this thread it should give you what you need to get the job done.

  12. These are the steps for loading an ISO game using XBMC4Gamers... you will also need this: Bios-Virtual-Disc-Patcher-Loader https://drive.google.com/open?id=1SaUZP528wMJFkDfswOgpHvhmLwGu98sq Heres the mini guide (Originlly provided by Rocky5) 1. Transfer iso from PC to xbox F:games\ or G:\games 2. Copy folder "Bios Virtual Disc Patcher" to root of C:\ 3. Copy folder "Bios Virtual Disc Patcher Loader" and "reboot xbe" to E:\apps\ 4. Run "XISO to HDD script" and select F:\games or G:\games (where ever you placed your ISO's) and pick ok 5. Then head back to Xbmc4gamers "applications" menu and run "Bios Virtual Disc Patcher Loader" (It will reboot into XBMC4Gamers. The LED will change colour for a second during the patching) 6. Select your ISO game from the games menu, ISO will then be attached as D:\ xbox will reboot back to XBMC4Gamers. Your game ill be shown as a spinning disc in the top right corner. 7. Press Start to boot the virtual disc 8. Play the game
