bman80
Hi All, Looking for some advise. Have an original xbox (1.4) modded with Open Xenium & XBOXHD. After doing some cable tidying I had the xbox running, and without thinking put the top case back on. The system turned off, and when I press the power button there is now no lights on the front of the console. The only lights present are solid red on the Open Xenium & slow flashing blue on the XBOXHD board. First thoughts were that I blew a fuse, but having lights on the mods would suggest that there is power to the motherboard. Any suggestions or have I f*cked it? lopenator
Is the console booting when you press the power button? Is there a video/audio? Is the fan spinning?
bman80
Nothing, just the two lights I mentioned

Best to upload some good pics of the inside to a file share site and add the links here.. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing. Bowlsnapper
Man, sounds like he fried the front panel leads somewhere along the line... Or some sort of ic or controller.
lopenator
I recommend removing the board out from the housing and looking over it closely. you might find a blown component or a busted trace somewhere. may look brown or black in color. check the front panel also. sounds like you shorted something. Hopefully a trace just lit up like a bulb and can be bypassed!
bman80
Thanks All. Checked the power supply with a multimeter & it's giving the correct voltages to the main board. Will take it out & give it a once over like suggested
lopenator
don't just look over the PSU. there may certainly be damaged to the Xbox board.
