About Me

  1. Hi there, Just upgraded my xbox HDD with a MakeMHZ XboxHD+ from a 320GB old IDE HDD with a 2TB SATA HDD (using a StarTech with partition F: 1TB and G: 900mb) and it is working fine. I created the new disk using the OGXBox Installer 2021 - v1.5.5 For FatXplorer + XBoxHDM (24 12 2022) with fatxplorer and it worked! My problem is the XBOXHD+ software, it is placed on the root of C but when started i get the error msg: "XBOXHD+ Error: The Xbox app must be installed in c:\xboxhd" and the xbox reboots. The software is placed there like told so why is it saying it isnt? Anybody a suggestion where to look? I installed a new version from MakeMHz but still this error and im lost now so any help is welcome Thank you!
  2. Hello all i have a 360 Controller that is just a standard usb (not Wireless). I tried to use a OG XBOX adapter to USB cable like the one here https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331804441332?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=csiq_HSJSIm&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=pkpdgvjyta-&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY im not getting any joy with no response. The controller lights up for 1 second circling the green disc shape in the middle. I don’t have a 360 so I’m happy to dissemble the controller and change the connectors to work with the OG XBOX. the only information I could find was this quote Xbox connectors are some proprietary USB offshoot.<BR><BR>Xbox 360 connectors are standard USB.<BR><BR> Neither is compatible with the other.
  3. Hi i have wire and motherboard mount for pc the only part missing in board that send power using atx power supply i need some to build me one and yes i will pay you also $300 to $500 usd.
  4. Hi, I pulled out my OG Xbox which was modded by someone back in 2002/2003 with the xecuter 2 modchip. It ceased working about 5 years ago and my brother-in-law said the 128 gb HHD stopped working. I'm trying to bring it back from the dead but having issues. I booted it and with the mod chip off I get error message 21. When chip is on it goes to this custom screen but can't launch into any of the loaded games or emulators and freezes. I bought a new 1Tb SSD and got the 80 wire ribbon cable and the ide to sata startech adapter. When I start it up with this I get error message 16 and it won't launch with a truehexen 2021 burned disk. Do I need to reflash the bios files on the xecuter 2 chip? Any help is appreciated
  5. Hi all, dug out my old xbox original which was last booted up around 15 years or more ago to find it not working as I left it. It's an xbox original with a Xenium modchip in it (one of the ones that you push in and then have a wire that sits in one of the solder holes - picture attached). As an additional problem I can't remember a thing about how it is set up or where the wire should be or what the extension cable (which currently not connected) even does and can't find any of my old notes on it. So any/ all help very much appreciated as to how to proceed on this. Basically, when you switch it on, it currently flashes green three times then goes to a green, red, green, red repeating colour change. If I move the wire out of the hole that it was located in, then it boots into normal mode and I can set the time etc. As soon as I put the wire back to where it was, then it does the not booting and colour sequence as above. Pic attached of modchip. If more information is helpful on something specific please let me know!.

I get an old XBOX one. when I turn it on, I hear the start up sound but there is no picture on the TV. how can I check if it is a software issue or hardware issue? important thing, hard drive not connected, because I don't have the cable for SATA. i don't know if the xbox should to turn on without HDD.
  9. Hello recently found my old modded oG xbox, dont know what kind of mod it is. Iknow it had Evolution.x(xbmc). So when i click the power button it sounds like it wants to boot up but shuts off. when i click the eject button the xbox turns on goes right to clock setting and it allows me to play disc games on it, i tried a couple discs and the games loaded up fine, however not downloaded games/emulators on hard drive. When i look in the memory i can see saved files of xbox games that are saved on the drive. Took it apart and see there is a blue chip installed, labeled (duo x2). And its blinking red. Not sure if thats my problem. can anyone help. Thanks
  10. I am running both from the ‘app’, and the script option and I select yes, then no to preview videos, and no to skip artwork that already exists and then it just starts on emulators and 36% pleas halp me internet!!!
  11. Being busy, lazy, and a procrastinator I was looking to buy an already modded Xbox this year. Asked around on reddit and MadMartigan saw my post, offered to sell me one. Agreed on a very fair price by my estimation, he kept me informed regarding shipping times as he was waiting for parts and I got my new/old xbox in good time. Console was nicely packaged, in great condition and then I just looked at it for a month lol. Finally fired it up, and I'm paralyzed with indecision! 700+ xbox games, loaded with thousands more roms for emulators, I've got more games than I could play in a lifetime now! Loving XBMC4G, simple, snappy, and good looking. Have box art thumbnails for all the xbox games and most of the roms too. Have it hooked up to my Samsung series 7 TV with the Pound HD link and everything looks amazing. Haven't played a game yet that doesn't look great on this combo. @MadMartigan I couldn't be more grateful, if i had tried to do this myself I'd probably be in the planning phase for another month! Great guy to get a console from, I'm over the moon.

  13. This guide and pictures taken from: http://www.biline.ca/xbox_solder.htm TSOP Flashing Unlock points if you are unsure which Xbox version you have click Here TSOP unlock points for version 1.0/1.1 Xbox This is the top of the motherboard Connect the two solder pads at R7D3 as in photo above. This is the bottom side of motherboard Connect the two solder pads at R7R3 as in photo above. All Ver 1.0/1.1 Xbox's with a 'SHARP' TSOP chip must also connect the additional red wire as in the photo above. All other TSOP's DO NOT require this step. TSOP Unlock points for all Versions 1.2/1.3/1.4/1.5/ Xbox's This is the top side of the motherboard These Xbox's have both points located on the top of the motherboard, for the first point connect the two solder pads at R7D10 as in photo above. For the second point locate the junction between R7D2 and R7D1 and connect the two solder pads as in the photo above. After the solder points are completed you should re-assemble your xbox (but leave the top cover off) when the power button is pressed it should boot normally as it did before you started. Note if you get the message TSOP write protected while attempting to Flash the TSOP you might need to check and resolder the points to ensure a good connection was m while attempting to Flash the TSOP you might need to check and resolder the points to ensure a good connection was made. To split Split a 1MB TSOP (v1.0, v1.1) into 4 banks of 256k, the following picture explains how to accomplish this: Note: If you have a 1.6/1.6b Xbox, it has no TSOP and therefore you cannot flash it. You will have to install a modchip or softmod.

  17. On a modded PS2 and Wii you can play games directly from iso images. This can also be done a Xbox. You just need some tools, some attach/default.xbe's the correct bioses and some dashboards. I have tried to follow a tread on xbmc4xbox and another one on emuxtras on how to do this. But I gave up as it was unclear to me where to get hold of the attach.xbe file and also if i had to re-flash my bios to make this work. I wonder if someone here can make a good tutorial on how to make this work. ( I use xbmc4gamers as my main dash, And i have two xboxes, one with evox m8+ and one with indbios 5004. ) Thanks,
  18. Hello everyone! I will tell you about my problem: I have an Xbox 1.0 with TSOP and 128Mb of RAM (I bought it pre-modified), I have tried to install an Aladdin Xblast by soldering the pinheaders to the LPC port and soldering point D0 of the motherboard to D0 of the chip (I have also tried soldering D0 from motherboard to ground on motherboard) and got FRAG. I have followed Barnito's Lpc Diagnostics (V0.1) guide (https://www.ogxbox.com/forums/index.php?/topic/239-lpc-diagnostics-v01/#comment-945) to verify voltages and continuity. With respect to continuity everything is correct except pin 2 and with respect to voltages everything is correct (+-10% of the correct voltage) except pin 1 0V and pin 5 1.7V. If I disconnect the D0 cable from the chip or ground, or if I disconnect the Aladdin chip, the console boots correctly with the Cerbios bios that I flashed in the TSOP and boots my Xbmc4gamers. What could be the problem? (if photos are necessary, I'll take them later when I get home from work)
  19. Hi all, Long time modder and lurker, first time poster but I wanted to share a project I have been working on the last couple months. It is a small PCB which allows you to use Wireless Xbox 360 controllers (via the Xbox 360 USB Wireless Receiver) on an OG Xbox console. The design is loosely based on another similar project I did for the Nintendo 64 console https://imgur.com/gallery/HVLea3d Following the release of this board another forum user sent me an email asking if this device could be adapted for the OG Xbox, and funnily enough that was the next thing I was going to attempt! I wanted to support the following features atleast: Up to four players with rumble support. 100% USB Bus Powered so no external power supply needed. Fast bootup time, so it's up and running in time for the OG Xbox. Low input lag. As always, this is a hard thing to measure, however I can say that an OG Xbox controller is polled by the console every 4ms or so. My software gathers all the Xbox 360 wireless controller data, collates it and generates all the HID reports every 4 ms aswell. It's possible an input may miss this 4ms window, so would happen in the next 4ms window. As you probably know, an OG Xbox controller is basically a USB HID device, however it has some custom requests and other slight differences, meaning that it doesn't work on a Windows machine without a custom driver, and conversely a generic HID controller will not work in an OG Xbox so there was some work in getting a reliable and compatible solution working. To support four controllers, it is necessary to have 4x Full USB device controllers. However I imagine most people would rarely play with 4 people at once so my design is modular meaning you can support anywhere from one up to 4 players as required to keep cost down. This is a link to the github repo with what I came up with https://github.com/Ryzee119/ogx360 A link to my etsy store where you can buy one pre-assembled https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/672315615/ogx360-add-wireless-xbox-360-controller Cheers!
  20. hello, i'm looking for one or two hdmi mod to buy, first seen it is in this forum but seems the guy is not active anymore. on castlemania, i missed the stock reflow this weekend. if anyone have some for sale, im from france and would be happy to deal with ya. cheers
  21. Finally found the time to test the Adapter PCBs i built to use an ATX Psu to power an Xbox. They are plug and play to easily switch between the original psu and an atx-psu.Might be usable for casemods or laptop builds. The adapter is built around the following basic schematic. It properly convert the Standby voltage from 5v to 3,3v and also shifts the power_ok and power_good signals to the correct levels. Also built a small version that can be used to build an extension cord style adapter to save some more space. Just let me know if you have any questions about them
  22. Does the XboxHD+ fix the 480p issue on 1.6 xbox's?
  23. HI. I have this: I bought this Xbox on Ebay for over 1k and it turns on by itself overnight & won't turn off. In the past it would take idk, 30 tries before it finally turned off. Now, the power button itself is not working and I'm on about idk, 70 try's on hitting "power off" from the dashboard. The only solution is to unplug it but I don't like that I have to plug it in every time. I would like to swap cases with another Xbox (preferably NOT modded) but have no experience in opening up an Xbox and I'm not up for the challenge. I'd rather ship it out to one of you to have this done or just buy another one when it comes up on Ebay. I'm not looking for a repair as I don't trust it & might I add: it had a full recap of all capacitors. If any of you have an original Xbox and know how to swap cases, perhaps I could pay you if I shipped it out to you (I live in NJ). Thoughts/suggestions?
