  1. From what I am gathering it's not looking like there's a way for this to work properly but I figured I'd ask around and see if it's possible. I'm assuming that's what the SD card slot is for? But is it actually supported yet? If not I'll just have to rebuild these SSD's after reformatting them for Stellar in FatXplorer.
  2. On the XBox, some commercial games could run third party fan-made mods (provided the XBox was modded), which was amazing. I remember games such as Morrowind, the Grand Theft Auto games, Star Was Battlefront 2, etc, supporting this. The big limitation was memory, of course, as the XBox only had 64 MB of RAM (which was also used for video RAM), but I have had my XBox upgraded to 128 MB, so I was wondering in anyone had released a patch for any of these games to allow the game to access more than 64 MB of RAM, and so allow more mods to be used with applicable games. Also, or course, fan-ported games such as Duke Nukem 3D (using 'XDuke'), Shadow Warrior (using 'ShadowX), Doom 1 and 2 (using 'Doom-X'), and I think ports of Quake 1 and 2, etc (I don't like the Quake games, so I can't speak from experience), can use third party mods, and with these ports being written specifically for the XBox, then they would see more likely to maybe receive 128 MB support upgrades. Have any of these ports been upgraded, to allow for the support of more demanding mods.
  3. Hello guys, i have some issue with using my game rips with Insignia XboxLive project. Its say that i must download update, but when i try it its just send me error or nothing. So may be you can help me with this and share where i can download full work game for Insignia Xbox Live? I know about Web Archive HDD ready but now webArchive is down by hackers attack
  4. Hey everyone, I have had this dead console for quite a few months. It had been a couple of years since I had played on it. One day, I plugged it in and smoke started coming out of it. There were 3 bulging capacitors that I have replaced, none of them leaked. The PSU works fine, as I have tried it with my other console. However, it still doesn't want to turn on. You plug the console in and press the power button but get no signs of life. No sound, noises, lights.. Nothing. I was hoping if you guys could help me to try to figure out what's going on. I took as many pictures as possible, but if you need anything in specific, let me know. I am putting them in Google Drive since I can't really upload more than 4 MB. HERE they are.
  5. i opened up my xbox and noticed this modchip and was wondering if it would be causing my issue. it will attempt to power on 3 times and on that third time it will start flashing orange and red.
  6. This is a general question. I was wondering if other BIOSs support the X3 LCD screen besides the X3 bios itself. https://i.imgur.com/DrBmIQk.jpeg
  7. I have what appears to be a legit Aladdin XT 4032 here. The silkscreen on the right seems to suggest that this supports wiring up an LCD. The 4064 revision also seems to have potentiometer for dialing in the brightness. Those pads still exist on modern aladdin clones but there's no traces there. Does anyone have any experience with wiring up an lcd to one of these or know of any documentation? I plan to tinker with it this week.
  8. Does GSSMT Tool compress folders to .XZ_?
  9. I have a very basic non-multimedia USB keyboard and a USB->Xbox adapter, such as what you might use for a soft mod. I can't seem to get it to work with PSO, or even the network settings page (I tried typing in 192.168 etc). I've also tried using the X3CP faceplate USB ports but same problem there too, no reaction. Am I doing something wrong? Would be cool to be able to type in PSO or use it in Xbmc4Gamers.
  10. Going to upgrading from base HDD at some point, but didn't want to start with SATA drives right out of the gate. Wanted to use otherwise dormant IDE drives out in the wild, & was wondering exactly HOW one would know if a IDE Hard drive supports locking for softmod Xboxes.
  11. Hi people, i bought an softmoded OG Xbox a couple of months ago with an 80GB Ide hard drive. I wasn't able to use it because i needed to get an Voltage converter (v220 to v110, 300W) and i wasn't able to test it untill now. During that time i replaced the thermal paste following some tutorials and cleaned the upper case. Now that i have the converter the console won't turn on. It doesn't make any noise. I checked the capacitors and all of them seem to be alright (Flat on the top and no leaking) and i tried with a different power cable and nothing. Thanks for your time. Here are some pics of the console. https://imgur.com/a/3XkDNpe https://imgur.com/a/h9GBXQS
  12. Just passing this information on: I've just got word that FatXplorer 3.0 beta 1 has just been released for testing! https://fatxplorer.eaton-works.com/3-0-beta/ This contains the long-awaited support of OGXbox disks! This means no more being restricted to FTP transfer speeds to fill your disks- you can drag and drop using the ordinary Windows interface. Some features are not yet supported such as: formatting. This means you would still need to format your disk first via your XBox using XBPartitioner, then connect it to your laptop/PC. I have noted that it does appear to support opening raw backup images, although NOT compressed ones (notably the XBMCOrigins torrent, as that comes in a custom .imgc compressed format due to being backed up by HDDRawCopyTool.). Also note that the final version will be pay-for software, although in my opinion well worth it. I've been using the 2.5 version for years for managing my 360 disks and love it.
  13. Hi guys, Does anyone has any idea if a skin exist with cover support? I mean, but on a size specifically for CRT TV's? 4:3? The problem I am having is that most dashboards with cover support are made specifically for widescreen HD TV's, I am fine with that, but I use my Xbox exclusively on my Sony Wega CRT. It looks amazing because it has component inputs (I am about to build my component cable though). To me, this consoles are made to play on 4:3 on a good CRT, so ideally I would want a skin or a dashboard where I could see what I am doing! I don't think I am the only one! On a CRT Xbox4gamers looks tiny and is terrible to use. UnleashX is the perfect size for CRT's but I haven't found a skin that supports covers! Anyone knows of such a thing? Thank you guys, thank you all for your time and patience. Hector.
  14. Just TSOP flashed my v1.0 Xbox with X2 5035 because why not take advantage of it since it's a v1.0?. I was wondering does this Bios support drives up to 2TB?
