  1. I'm having an issue with xbmc emustation regarding reading roms. I initially had a rom set in the .zip format placed in the proper rom folder. These roms worked fine and I didn't have any issue. Now, I had found a more complete rom set and decided to place them in. The only difference was the new rom set were all in the .7z format. When I tried to play those, it looked like it was loading them until a little message came up stating they weren't a recognized file format and loaded the menu again. So the real issue came up now when I finally tracked down the complete rom set I needed (which was in .zip format like before) and placed them back in. Now emustation still won't play the games and has that error message still. The .zip files are the prefered file type correct? Is there some sort of settings or file that needs to be changed or taken out for them to work again?
  2. In case I want to launch a game in ISO form ran with the attacher default.xbe instead of doing the regular route for game storage, is it possible to get the dashboard to recognize the ISO and list it in the Games section? I did edit the attacher default.xbe with the proper game title but that still didn't show up, neither in applications nor games. Edit: I got it to recognize by putting the folder in my regular F/games folder. I was putting it in a separate ISOs folder but F/games is the only folder the dash seems to acknowledge for the games list.
  3. Hello everyone, Yesterday i was trying to repair my Xbox (wich is a 1.4/1.5, manifactured in 2003), i removed the clock capacitor and everything was fine (i dont care to put the date every time i plug it in) but from point blank it shut down and never came back. when i plug it in it FRAGs and i'm not getting out of this. This is my motherboard : https://imgur.com/a/ZycVKLW i have a modchip installed (not by me, but by someone in the early 2000s), but not a softmod as my xbox read only backups in DVD as far as i know. i made a post on reddit but i had no luck. i tried connecting my HDD to a PC with an adapter and it get recognized by the Devidce Manager but xboxhdm23usb and xplorer360 doesn't seem to detect it and i cant figure out why. i don't care to lose my data, but i just want my xbox back up and running, any suggestion is welcome, but i don't have a EEPROM reader nor a backup and neither a pc with serial port. help me getting this bad boy back to life
