Hi all, new here. had my og xbox about 10yrs now. modded about 4yrs ago so looking whats new in the scene again as need to upgrade hdd to 500gb. Glad to be part of this fab forum.

Hello guys. I'm a huge OG Xbox/PS2/Gamecube fan and have a nice emulation setup with my original Xbox. The 2000-2006 era holds the best memories for me gaming wise so I had to join. I hope to get to know everyone and maybe make some new friends.

Brought out my Original Xbox from the closet. Wanted to get a few games for it and update Hexen. It's already soft modded. I can't download yet, that sucks.

Hi, I'm new here and have had both of my original xboxs modded when they came out years ago. I finally dusted them off and to my surprised they're still working great...well one of them at least. I'm hoping I can pick up some tips on what I can do to get the other up and running well again.

Dusting off my old xbox. Thinking about dumping avalaunch and using XBMC4gamers instead. Is it worth it?

So I've had a modded Xbox original for a few years now, and I just got around to using it again. Thanks to this forum it's running much stronger. Upgraded to the Startech SATA adapter, changed to an 80wire IDE cable (not pictured) and then moved over to a TSOP flash instead of a softmod.

Hi, I found some original xbox from junk and I thought it would be cool if could make it work. It seems to be missing a hard drive and when I turn it on it blinks green three times then alternates orange and red lights. I don't know much about xbox but I would like to learn whatever I can from this community.

New here. I had recently acquired what seems a soft modded xbox and just wanting to restore the original OS on it.

Just posting as a newcomer, need a couple more for that Hexen download! So much much good info.

For the past few weeks i've been looking into modding an xbox, and i've bought quite a good amount of stuff to prepare. I understand that there are like 15 ways to do somethings and it all depends on specifics ecct.. but I just have a few questions. For starters, I understand you have to soft mod your xbox before tsop mod, and you can change out your hdd either after the tsop mod or after softmodding, which way should I do? Also, I would like some emuls so which bios should i be looking into? All I want to do is to be able to boot a few games without putting them in the disk drive, and play some older games, on top of having a nice dash board and boot up screen. Among the things I've purchased, I also got a ghost case, and I would like to paint my jewel. anybody have advice on that? also, any good looking led mod kits? I've seen a couple, but if anyone has a link to a good treasure trove of either led strips or something to put under my jewel, I would appreciate it. Also, why do some people while installing the ghost case (clear case) not change out the disk reader cover to the transparent one? Haven't opened my xbox yet, since its the one from my childhood, I'm trying to save it, but if I can't find a cheap one to mod out, Ill be using what i suspect to be a 1.3.

Found my old modchipped xbox dusted in closet and now i have been working to put emulatorsl set past days, but then i found this site and JRockys xbmc4gamers skin which is really cool. Thanks for that hard work.

Just joined up after finding the site while googling some Xbox related stuff. Been into modding for longer than the Xbox has been a thing. Had a bit of a break from it all and recently decided my stock pile of OG Xboxes needed some love. My background is electromechanical engineering , but now work in IT so I guess modding is in the blood. I always look at electronics and think I wonder what it looks like inside. Glad to be here and to have found an active site that's not got posts that are unanswered for ten years. Hopefully I can learn and teach in equal measures.

Hey.. Nice to see the OG Xbox is alive and well. Got into OG Xbox when XEcuter 3 was released and got straight into installing one in mine. Went the whole hog and installed LCD and replacement front panel and a 500GB drive. Good with a soldering iron and mod all my own stuff (plus a few mates) Still got it to this day but it's a little worse for ware now.. dunno whats up with it. Time for a new working board me thinks. Think I'll like it here.
