i tend to leave this xbox on a lot lately for days without a power cycle. it has this annoying problem where it will randomly be frozen on the homescreen when i want to use it and i have to get up and power cycle it. it comes back on fine and doesn't have any issue until the next time it freezes. there seems to be no ryhme or reason to when or why it freezes. what could be causing it? it has the open xenuim chip and i am booting the evox bios. it also has a 3 tb seagate barracuda 5400rpm hdd in it with the starlink adapter. it also has a 80 wire ide cable that chimeric used to sell. it is running the 1.300v of xbmc4gamers. everything else is stock.

I recently chipped a Xbox Rev 1.0, for some reason when I play legit discs on my Xbox it doesn't freeze, but when I play games on the HDD in particular Oddworld Stranger's Wrath it freeze after five minutes in-game however if you press the eject button it goes back to dashboard safely. I don't know if it's botched solder on my modchip, overheating, or caps.

It's a chipped (Aladdin Advance) Rev 1.0 OG Xbox. It's quick soldered (not using the pins, D0 grounded to (https://imgur.com/a/jdytwmN), I removed clock capacitor as well it didn't leak. I tried it without the chip on. Same problem. Put new thermal paste on both cpu and gpu. Same problem. I don't know if it's the modchip or the Xbox is actually broken.

Hey Guys! new member here but used the site for research a couple of times and seems like a great community here. I have a og xbox debug kit that turns on but gets stuck on the xbox logo after the animation. it doesnt load into the dashboard/xdk launcher. Would anyone know the cause of this? None of the seals have been broken so i dont know if i should take it apart or not... Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced!

As above, The chipped xbox I mod'd a while ago with the SD card reader is locking up after the flubber screen. It displays the Ind Bios screen then just locks up totally. What is likely to cause this? Hardware or something to do with the SD card? Cheers guys

I was testing an Xbox I picked up at the weekend and noticed it freezes during gameplay - would new thermal make a difference or do I need to just use it as a system for parts? Thanks

Hi everyone, i have an xbox with a strange issue. i soldered the tsop, one i had to do alternative soldering because the tin went of the 2 points. it boots once when the board doesnt have power for a while, then it freezes when loading hexen. sometimes it doesnt even turn on, it powers on, beeps, powers off, beeps and red and green lights pulse. i didnt even flash it yet. could removing the clock cap cause this issue?
