Hello from France. first i have to say that i'm happy to see an active community around the OG Xbox. so i'm on a xbox period for learning hacking and i did a mistake on a v1.1 motherboard. i learned too late that 1.0 and 1.1 have 1Mo tsop size and i flashed manually with a 256ko custom ind-bios... i don't want to setup a modchip as i try to learn stuff. i really would like to recover the tsop bios. so right now, the xbox boot with no signal on TV, i hear hdd and dvd running, when i put hexen disk i can see led turning red as intended. i tried to split tsop into
ok i need a lil advice, thanks to dave ive got my ole rig up and running, everything works like a champ save for bank1..which doesnt seem to really matter anyway everytime i put the top case on..error 13....so im figureing its the cable, the adator or the power, but, how does one trouble shoot it. ive now cut down the y splitter that came with the adapt board now its nice and neat lil 1inch 4pin molex to mini 4pin, ive went thru and "tweaked" the stock box connector pins for a little tighter connection, so im fairly certain its not a power cabling issue..in fact my adapt cable is
Hi all, First post here. Have my soft modded OG xbox that I have had for probably 18 years. Has a 120GB HDD in it, and I use it mostly for Mame at this point. Just last evening, it started doing something very strange. It boots up OK, I get the factory boot animation, "Matrix Inside", etc, but then when it transitions to the EVO-X menu, the screen only updates what looks like a frame every 2 seconds. It will slloooooowly fade in the EVO-X menu, then I can hold "down" on the controller and it will slooooowly move from one menu entry to the next. It's almost unusable.
Hi. I lost ability to use component cable in my one project xbox. It worked fine at first but now it only shows black at my screen. It only works now with composite cable. I have two component cables and they are fine, I tested them with my other xbox. Is there a possibility that some component in the motherboard is damaged or should I look problem at software side? I'm running unleashX with aladdin modchip on a 1.6 revision xbox.
Hi, Just fired up my xbox after being sat there for many months. It made a pop type sound and after 10 minutes of play started to make a beeping noise with error 7. I've pulled the hdd out and it makes the same beeping noise in an external caddy. I've done a little bit of research and it seems that if I use an old ata hdd (40gb) I can use something called Hexen to build the drive. As I have an xecuter chip I don't need to worry about locking the drive. Can somebody please advise if this is correct? Thank you
