Hi everyone, I'm a long time Xbox user, and have enjoyed modding consoles since the early 2000's. I got started with an xecuter 2 chip, and things just snowballed from there. I've always been interested in running code on unintended hardware, and seeing what shenanigans i can get into in general. Currently my biggest project is resurrecting the aforementioned xecuter 2 box, as its whopping 75k hrs of run time has taken a toll (almost 9 years of runtime!!) I'm beginning my own journey of creating hardware mods for the xbox platform, primarily focused on enhancing cooling capabilities, and allowing my console to stream games from my home server rather than filling its own dedicated hdd again. Im also interested in making custom xbox motherboard pcb's, capable of running the xbox's os on new, and more powerful hardware. I'm exited to make new friends who share these interest, and like stated in the title, my username is usually SkippinMudkipz... But i guess midkipz is fine too lmfao

Decided I would tear down my dev kit because there was a rattling noise inside of it and I wanted to see its guts. The rattling turned out to be the GPU fan, and I decided I should film its guts for everyone to see. Now if you don't have one, or don't want to open the one you've got, you can see inside, too! Pictures will come if I ever get a decent camera. If anyone has a Raptor card I can pair with it, please send me a PM. I don't actually know anything about developing games for the xbox, but I'd like to have a full kit in case I ever do start developing. I also might be willing to sell this to someone that wants to use it for its intended purpose. It's pretty worthless as a collectors item because it has no code on it, has a prominent cosmetic defect, and has been opened.

Hello, I recently decided to mess with my recently purchase Xbox 360 development kit and i am having some trouble. I would like to get it set up to Xbox neighborhood and play debug games on it but Xbox neighborhood cant seem to find my system. If possible, could some one walk me through how to set up Xbox neighborhood, how to use it, and finally how to load debug games to it. just to clarify, my system is not a JTAG or RGH, it is an official dev kit so i dont know if the process between the two is much different. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Aidan

A fellow Xbox fan requested that I put an X3 modchip in his Dev Box so he can use all 128M of RAM, although we had a conversation about the limited library. He wants the modchip instead of a simple TSOP. I have the mainboard and drive working. It boots to the MS clock/calendar initially. After setting the time I am able to see 3 standard menu options: Memory, Music and Settings. Clearly it has not been updated to include Live. The only game save is Revolt (Microsoft ATG). It will not play a game but gives this message: "You need to connect the DVD Playback Kit receiver to a controller port to watch movies. Remove the disc to continue." I have a brand new DVD Playback Kit so I put it in. No luck. Tried a movie DVD. Still the same message. I pulled the EEPROM using PonyProg. It looks okay although it will not load into LiveInfo. ConfigMagic also rejects it. I have looked through the raw edit of the EEPROM but am not sure what to look for. This one seems like it is above my pay grade! I am hoping for another perspective on it. I must be missing something here but don't know what it is. Any help? Thanks.
