Hi, I have a revision 1.0 Xbox that I originally softmodded. It is now hardmodded and I would like to flash the original 4034 stock bios back onto the TSOP. I was going to use the method in this post: But I got confused when I saw this warning in the manual (attached). I tried the method suggested in the warning first, and was not successful. Am I good to use the TSOP flasher when my console is already softmodded and hardmodded? To restore the TSOP to stock bios?

Many years ago, I'd snapped off a dip switch on my X3 mod, now I'm stuck as 1mb bioses that I can select from the bank selection. As you can see bank 4 is broken, I've tried moving it with a sharp knife but I can't get it across. Therefore I can only boot with 1mb bioses, in the position I'm in now is the only one my Xbox fires up, all other banks are empty, I flashed Cbios to the main bank which I assume is bank 1 with the 256mb bios seeing it was an empty bank and it doesn't work, just makes the Xbox not power on, however if I go into the X3's live menu system holding my white button down and boot it as a 256k bank cerbios works, I just can't select it from the dip switches so it sounds like my ideal solution would be a 1mb Cerbios so I can flash it to the main bank. I'm very limited as to my dip switches positions with dip switch 4 stuck to off, I can't use a 256kb bios. "256k Bank Bank 1: on on on on Bank 2: off on on on Bank 3: on off on on Bank 4: off off on on Bank 5: on on off on Bank 6: off on off on Bank 7: on off off on Bank 8: off off off on 512k Bank Bank 12: on on on off Bank 34: off on on off Bank 56: on off on off Bank 78: off off on off 1MB Bank Bank 1234: on on off off (Set to this when flashing first time with FlashBIOS) Bank 5678: off on off off 2MB Bank Bank 12345678: off off off off"

Forgive me if this is something that can be found by searching, but I haven't found it: Is there currently any chip in production that supports the X3 bios? It seems like the only ones around have 256k flashes, unless I'm mistaken

Hi, I’m new to anything to do with mod chips on the original Xbox so my apologies if I sound like a complete noobie. I recently purchased a Xbox of Facebook market place that has a DuoX2 (blue) mod chip installed. When the console boots is has like a green logo in the top left and Slayers 2.7 underneath the Xbox logo at the bottom of the screen (I’ll add a photo to explain what I’m talking about). Then it boots into evolutionX dashboard I believe. I’ve dabbled with soft modded Xboxes before and wanted to take a crack at a mod chipped one but I’m worried I’ll brick the console if I just try and re flash bios and install a new dashboard. So long story short, is it possible to update the bios on the mod chip to someone a little more recent like EvoX M8 or something? The Xbox is 1.4 console. I opened it and cleaned the console of dust and re did the thermal paste and fixed the DVD belt prior to wanting to update the dashboard and mod chips Bios. any help is much appreciated. Kind Regards, Karl

Sorry, guys. I tried to flashare the bios of an xbox 1.0 with Hexen's dvd. I wanted to put the M8 F&G on but when I press Y nothing happens. I wanted to make a way n to remove the DVD control to be able to put double hd with switch, but nothing, does not erase me the old and does not make me flashare the new. I mount an Aladdin xt chip.

Anyone know how? It's been 3 years since I did xbox work and I honestly forgot how or even IF you can stick the factory bios back on. I already googled this for an hour.
