    bad dump, many HDD ready dumps are bad. Download full disk about 6GB archived. The only proper way, since source you download files from is unreliable.

    Is there a carbon pad to buy - alternative that could be DIY? Because cleaning wont help it. Only fix is to replace worn conductive sticker. So i removed whole sticker, cut not worn parts and added other 4 good from scrap slimline controller, and it works all buttons 255 with no problems. In the picture you can see how botched it looks, but it works swell. Anyone with conductive paint willing to test by painting rubber membrane itself.

    closest mode to calibrated TV is movie/cinema mode, other modes are gimmicks. Worst offenders are laptop screens. If you work with a computer all day, calibration will help with tired eyes.

    flimsy hands scratches are random. You would see circular scratches if it was dvd. show dvd tray.

    startech is good, because it supports all ata speeds, so you can use original cable. cheap adapters are 100/133 speeds only, 80pin cable required.

    its not service menu, simple TV settings. Service menu are CRT relic. These are settings you can calibrate by eye without any tools. For more accurate colors without calibration movie mode as color profile should be selected, all TV processing turned off.

    Not only color and black levels, but also motion resolution. Highly recommend to buy calibration tool to squeeze every pixel out of this beast. Only CRT beats plasma.

    Thanks, couldn't find pictures with optical emitter in the diagram. I'll reuse xbox 360 component cable board. Right now i desoldered selector switch and wires. Now i think i will route something like a ribbon cable under AV port and stick component board on the back with double sided tape.

    "XDVDMulleter v10.2beta" converts 8GB DVD DL archival ISO to xiso. Creates xiso from game folder.

    "Thief - Deadly Shadows/CONTENT/T3/VideoTextures" contains region specific video files . 30 - NTSC; 25 -PAL. Missing files will cause freezing. You run PAL in NTSC mode? To make game to work with NTSC and PAL, you simply inject 30fps video files to PAL version, Or PAL files to NTSC. If you have difficulties locating real PAL version. I'm pretty sure replacing 30 with 25 on file names will work. Because some PAL games with 25fps video works fine in NTSC mode. games like 007 nigthfire require injecting files to game container in ".viv" format for driving levels, and injecting video files in a regular folder for FPS levels.

    Disable extended partitions in 'custom dashboard' settings, so detection of these will be disable and no messages will bother you. F and E partitions dont exist on stock harddrives.

    check DVD tray sensors. Boiling rubber band will not revive it, tried multiple times, will be super clean which helps.

    It looks like you have stock 10GB HDD. Forget about extended partitions. These are for custom hard drives. Everything is in order here.

    Xbox RGB scart is compressed signal, possibly this is why we see ringing. Its not true RAW rgb signal. There is no AA. Could be flicker filter turned on, there are 5 levels of it. This was a talk point for ages. I'm not that smart so i give a link for more info. https://www.avforums.com/threads/xbox-flicker-filter-and-why-the-picture-is-soft-from-rgb-scart.196390/ I seen you WII videos, so with usbloader component output can be as good as gamecube?? Want to play RE4, because updated releases have missing effects like depth of field, makes game look flat.

    green adapters supports ATA100 or above this is why stock cable doesn't work. startech supports multiple speeds, so try original xbox PATA cable. Could be damaged pata cable. You dont mix softmod and hardmod. So you have hardmod. You boot a CD that could format HDD. You format it to stock with extended partitions. After that, you check if xbox boot to stock to begin with. Then you install custom dashboard to predefined folder path that exist in bios image or (for cerbios bios) config file - you have to create.

    most likely incomplete/corrupted game backup.

    Desert storm 2 is super fun game (4 player coop). "Conflict" series are super fun. FIFA07 uses 720p, its fun to watch how XBOX struggles to render in such high resolution, more like a novelty.
