  1. I just noticed that Coinop 8 Massive, Ninja Massive Repack, and HyperVision 6 all have issues on my BFM softmod as well. They worked perfect on Rocky's softmod. CO8M loads in, able to browse the games, but no artwork/previews, led remains Orange. Ninja loads to the main carousel without artwork, led turns green, xbox freezes, IGR disabled. HV6 exact same as Ninja, loads without artwork, green led, freezes, IGR disabled. Normal emulator packs from emuxtras work fine.
  2. I was verifying every app works with Cerbios BFM, and Xored looks as if it is displaying some sort of code, instead of populating the game list. It only allows me to press Dpad Up and LT/RT to scroll up. No other buttons work. I've deleted the app and downloaded a fresh copy from Gamers downloader, as well as restoring a backup from a Rocky softmodded xbox. All display this mess. Is BFM modifying the paths, and if so, can I change it to work correctly? I checked Xored.ini and compared against a known working version, and they're identical.
  3. Is your sata adapter in this list? Verify its confirmed udma settings. Smacking the top of the xbox, right above the dvd, opens my stuck ones, 100% of the time.
  4. I edited UnleashX's config.xml to connect to Insignia if anyone wants to add it to their setup. Credit to Terry68Firebird from 7 years ago for the guide. I'm using the Blackbox Jezz Mark3 skin. Not sure if others work, I'm sure the older skins probably would. Scroll Speed is adjusted in the UX System Settings. It seems you can enter anything between 10 and 60. 10 is fast, 60 is slow. 10 feels perfect. I just found out UnleashX has a music control popup if you press White. Right Thumb also mutes. My preferred dash is Gamers, not sure if Rocky would be able to implement this into his work. It's a cool feature. s will. 20240319_225513.mp4
  5. I was told that unless you have an SSD, don't worry about UDMA 6. I swapped out my BFM bios for the 2.3.2 UDMA 5, renamed it Cerbios.bin, and it just worked. Later modified it with Cerbios Tool for the default paths, 0=hdd/dvd, and fan speed. Modified Cerbios.ini as well, to reflect. All this was on a softmod, I have no experience with hardmods.
  6. I only know how to add a button to the menu, I just tried to do what you asked, and it only allows folders on the Root menu. I have Emustation setup as a custom button, and I have Gamers setup as a custom tile in Emustation. I've never messed with shortcuts.
  7. A friend has found an xbox with an Xecuter with the front panel switches. He's asking if I could upgrade it to a 3TB with Cerbios and be able to use Insignia. As I've never dealt with hardmods, is there a guide that I can use to direct me? Is it as easy as formatting the hdd with Hazeno's guide, inserting it into the xbox, and updating the bios somehow? He doesn't know which version Xecuter it is, but since it has the bank switches, is it safe to say it's a v3? Is there a big difference between 3/3CE for bios? He's going to get me pics soon. I've read that some chips block access to xbl, is that no longer relevant if you have Cerbios?
  8. 5:08 to load to menu from dash. 1:30 from menu to where you can walk around on train, after the guy says wake up. I didn't skip any dialogue, I let them all play.
  9. 2.3.2 was the latest, so I picked it. No other reason. My 25 second time is from dash to main menu, sorry for the confusion. I was going to test Main Menu to in-game times, but like you said, it loads instantly once you load a save. I didn't feel like deleting files just to test, when I had other results to compare against.
  10. I use Media Player Classic to play videos on pc, they play fine and audio is perfect. I can navigate to the videos in the xbox file manager and they play, but when I launch the disc, only the games that include a bik file play. Where do I find my SHA-1 checksum to compare it against redump?
  11. The videos play on my pc, when browsing the various folders. It's when I launch the file/disc on the xbox, that some won't play, while others do. Interesting, I just opened the folders on my pc, all the videos that play, are all .bik. The ones that don't, are .xmv. I've used Any2XMV3 to convert videos for game previews, would that be required here? Wonder why they aren't all bik? The disc I've been trying to get to work is Kiosk 2.3. I found it, but not sure what I'm looking for. The sizes are identical. The one I downloaded from Strannos redump rip collection is 7,825,162,240 when extracted. That matches redump's track size. Where do I find my track checksum, and what would I match it against?
  12. You can check the hdd with CrystalDiskInfo and Defraggler. Maybe it has some errors.
  13. The full 1058 set from NikeyMikey, once I installed all my emulator packs and homebrew, I have 100GB free on F.
  14. So it acknowledges UDMA 6, as UDMA 5 would say Mode 32. My Halo CE load time is 25 seconds without trainers. It's confusing, yes. I really don't know which one is more reliable. I just watched Modzville in his video and went with what he said. Is your hdd+dvd option in your bios set correct? I have mine set to 0, for dvd+hdd. Maybe its something to do with accessing your dvd during loads?
  15. According to Hazenos Cerbios Guide, 2-4TB should be 256, not 512 clusters. My 3TB has 256 and feels like a normal xbox. I'm on UDMA 5 on a 7200rpm HGST CMR drive. Harcroft said in discord to not even attempt UDMA6 unless I was on an ssd, so I stopped there. What does UnleashX say in your Storage settings, Ultra DMA Mode xx? HDD or SSD?
  16. Is it normal for most all of the preview videos on the Kiosks to not load? I came across Stranno's Xbox redump on Archive and have tried multiple ways to extract them. Mulleter, Qwix, ExtractISO, they all output the same files, which is expected, but only a handful of the preview videos play when selected. The ones that do, play immediately. When I click on one, it makes a sound like a tiny drop of water, but nothing loads. I've noticed some game demos also load up until the MS logo, and either freeze or say dirty disc. I can see the video files in the extracted folders and know they're there. The redumps are 7.3GB to a final size of 3.9GB after extraction. I planned on downloading every kiosk, demo, and exhibition disc for my next 4TB build, but if most of the previews don't work, not sure I'll continue.
  17. I only have the video as well. I grabbed the whole collection off of Rooftops emuxtras repo. He explains that Complex and Statement are probably lost forever. He made a _resources folder for them all as well.
  18. Figured I'd give my results of testing I did today. Initially, I was under the impression that a softmod couldn't take advantage of anything past the stock UDMA 2, but a user on the xboxscene discord said it should work, so I tried it. The results aren't exciting, but it's a clear improvement. I performed the tests on a v1.6 with an HGST 3TB HUS724030ALA640, at full capacity, only 100GB free on F. The only changes were the bios version. UnleashX noticed the changes. The stock bios showed Ultra DMA Mode 4, the UDMA 5 bios shows Ultra DMA Mode 32. I was told this is to be expected, as UX doesn't show the correct numbers, but it clearly shows the changes being made. Everything I tested showed an improvement, although minimal. I ran every test 3 times and took the average. The xbox has an 80 wire and Startech adapter. UDMA 2 (Mode 4) UDMA 5 (Mode 32) Console Off to XBMC4Gamers = 36 seconds 34 seconds XBMC4Gamers to Emustation = 16 15 XBMC4Gamers to UnleashX = 51 50 XBMC4Gamers IGR = 33 32 UnleashX Soft Reset = 18 15 XBMC4Gamers to CoinOps8Massive = 12 11 XBMC4Gamers to Xenon's PS1 Pack = 15 14 XBMC4Gamers to Xenon's NES Pack = 16 14 XBMC4Gamers to Halo CE (No Trainers) = 27 25 XBMC4Gamers to Halo 2 (No Trainers) = 34 32 XBMC4Gamers to Def Jam FFNY (No Trainers) = 26 24 My next test will be with my old 60GB OCZ Agitity II that I had in my pc versus UDMA 6.
  19. I confused your artwork pack for Rooftops, sorry. I use yours as well as his. I posted on Emuxtras asking if he would add them to his repo. I just started looking for the packs yesterday. I installed 2 of the Kiosk discs and they played fine, so I just got curious how many they were of each set. I found a user on reddit that says they have a source for most of them, but they haven't replied. The Kiosks I found were on Master13's emuxtras repo, and these are the only 2 thumbnails that I've found that fit the theme.
  20. Think you could make something for the Kiosk Discs and OXM Demo Discs? I have 26 Kiosks, and am just starting my hunt for the OXM set. Just 2 simple thumbnails for 4Gamers Root Menu would be perfect. I'm also looking for all these unreleased games but can't find most of them. I've tried backups, archive, emuxtras ftp.
  21. Dont remove the clock cap without replacing it. The caps under the cpu are likely your issue. That's dampening material on the psu, normal.
  22. Once you install the Startech and new 80 wire, I would test UDMA 4 or 5, to see which one performs best. They are on Pandora.
  23. Did it perform fine before Cerbios? When I add artwork, I always run the built in Thumbnail Cleaner script to wipe the existing ones. I can't remember if it's Clean or Remove, probably Remove. What size hdd? Did you use the correct cluster sizes for Cerbios? They are different than a normal hdd. Hazeno has a guide that shows what size to use according to your hdd. For my 3TB, I used 256. Did you delete G, and format F to Max in FatX? Using the correct UDMA bios?

    Noisy video

You can try adding some ferrite beads to your cables. I hear it's handy for HAM operators.
  25. I finally finished downloading last week after 5 1/2 weeks. I haven't got around to installing them yet, though. Thanks for this. I'm still seeding as well, but my upload is only 1Mb/s, basically dialup.
