  1. Fixed by opening the FATX file in a text editor and removing all the data.
  2. Yeah some games don't launch from the hard drive or the game attempts to access certain files on the DVD D:/ drive. The games will get a dirty disc error or simply won't launch. Scooby-Doo Mystery Mayhem is one of them. That one is fixed by deleting the data within the XBE or something.
  3. The difference between the 480p and 720p on Gauntlet Dark Legacy is amazing. These photos don't do it justice but I don't own a screen capture card. 480p 720p
  4. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
  5. I've uploaded a pack of 720p Hex Edited files to my MEGA storage. Enjoy! https://mega.nz/#!ZJ831QAR!p9rjLcJq-pZ0PT42T62z69Re3COQRpAi2l3s1yMt2VE This is the thread that has the 720p Hex Edited files. I collected whatever I could find and take no credit for any of this. http://www.emuxtras.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=187&t=6203&start=160 You should back up your original XBE for each game in case something doesn't work. 7. Here's a HDD/480p pack I found on the EmuXtras board from user Headphone. I'll keep posting more/newer archives as I find them. 8. Thanks for the reply. I'm not familiar with Lunar IPS so I'll have to look into that. I could pore through the half-dozen message boards attempting to collect everything I come across and try them out but I'm sure some folks may already have a full stash of Hex edited XBEs. What do you think would be the best way to collect all these for others to enjoy? I forgot I have an account on EmuXtras so I'll start looking there.
  9. Hello everyone. I was hoping OGXbox could start a repository/collection of HEX Edited XBEs. I rip most of my games from disc using DVD2XBOX which helps in patching the 480p but there are many other XBEs available with various different functionality such as: 720p Widescreen Running from Hard Drive 128MB RAM Xbox Upgraded Processor (1.0 or 1.4 GHz) Would it be possible to post/discuss the available XBEs on this thread or, better yet, collect/link as many as possible and create a MEGA/Google Drive link to them? There are already quite a few XBEs available on other boards such as XBMC4XBOX, assemblergames.com, and I know many folks have already edited these files. It would be greatly appreciated if these XBEs were easily accessible rather than redoing what so many others have already done successfully (unless there is some sort of legal issue ). If there are no issues from the admins, I can also share what DVD2XBOX may have already patched. Let me know your thoughts! Thanks!

    Lost .Xbe

I think there are 480p and 720p widescreen hex edits, certain games that need hard drive hex edits, and perhaps some others?

Oh there are plenty of patched XBEs available on other boards but you have to pore through the message boards to collect them. I was just hoping someone already did this and has a convenient pack to download because I'm lazy It would be similar, I suppose, to something like Rocky5's downloads through XBMC4Gamers.

Is there a repository/collection of hex edited XBEs available anywhere? I know It's easy enough to edit these individually but if they already exist in working condition it would save a lot of time.
  13. I just received the HD AV Pack in the mail on Monday. Before it arrived, I found a really nice set of component cables and an 80 pin IDE cable in my electronics junk bin. I have this plastic tub filled to the top of old wires and computer parts so I occasionally dig through it and find new treasures . Connected the cables and AV pack all up and it works awesome!
  14. I had a weird problem with my 500GB hard drive not putting data on it beyond about half the drive ~225GB. I took the drive out, connected it to a PC using a USB external hard drive case, and installed EaseUS Partition Master (it's free!) . Once I could see the drive in the program, I removed all the partitions and had the program wipe the drive. I then put it back into the xbox, and formatted it with the Hexen 2019 disc and XBPartitioner. It's working great now and I have access to all 500GBs! I've done 2 drives this way. Be patient when you wipe the drive, however. It will take a few hours. https://www.snapfiles.com/get/easeuspartitionman.html I am pretty sure now this was caused from using a hard drive that already had Windows partitions on it. The drive needs to be completely wiped and clean.
  15. It's pretty simple. Once you download and extract Ninja, simply copy the folder to the Emulators folder (or games) on the Xbox. To install an update pack, you simply extract the folder(s) and drag/drop within the Ninja folder on your xbox (or local drive). In other words, the update packs like Premium ninja massive pack and Premium ninja massive pack 2 you would overlay them onto the folder that's already installed, overwriting any files it asks. The expansion packs/genre packs (like Pinball or The Simpsons) contain only files used for those expansions. No overwriting occurs. Just be sure to keep the original archives (rar/zip) in case something doesn't go as planned.
  16. I am definitely interested. It may be a couple weeks before I can purchase one, however. I bought way too many things this past week; most notably, a Sega 32x Night Trap CD. I probably paid too much for it but oh well
  17. The XOSVP seems to be the best way to go (although the are all sold out right now). The biggest problem I see with component cables is that many newer TVs are no longer including the component connections. Eventually, we'll all have to use some sort of HDMI converter, mod the Xbox so it has an HDMI output, or use an Xbox to HDMI cable (once these manufacturers start making better quality cables). I actually have a 4K TV with a component connection but I feed it through a Yamaha receiver that outputs it through HDMI. The picture looks amazing but it may be introducing a tiny bit of lag. This image I took with my phone doesn't do it justice:
  18. It wasn't making good contact with the board any longer. I think I tightened the screw down one too many times. It would cause the Xbox to power cycle 3 times then flash red. I never used the 2nd bank back in the day because I was too worried about screwing up the modchip. I actually just recently updated it with the latest Xecuter BIOS for it but the TSOP is soooo much better.
  19. That's a pretty decent price for the HDMI! I am sure it's perfect, especially at that price, and I'd probably be on board to get one like a Pound HD Link cable but it seems Pound need a couple more revisions to make it the best choice.
  20. I haven't used one but I'd really like to do a comparison between the two cables. From the so-called "Experts" on You-tube, the cheap component cables are hit and miss. I think it has to do with the shielding covering the cables. I suppose, if the shielding can be improved with duct, foil, electrical, or some other tape/covering, they may be just as good. I would think it may be easy to cut the head off one of these cheap ones and splice it onto a good component cable. The only downside is that there is no Optical/Toslink connection which is pretty important to me
  21. I thought about getting an HDMI cable but the technology still has a ways to go in terms of compatibility with all games and screens. The HDMI cable also looks a bit darker and the colors a bit less saturated than a component cable. The review is from 1 year ago (May 13th, 2018) not 11 years ago and the buyer was happy he got the real Microsoft OG Xbox component cable for this price. Mine just shipped an hour ago as they only had this 1 in stock.
  22. The High Definition Audio Video pack is still very relevant. It's one of the best ways to get the best image from the original Xbox. A lot of folks are paying between $40-$80 dollars (US) plus shipping on eBay for this.
  23. I very recently put my name on a waiting list for this Xbox HD AV pack since it was decently priced. I never thought it would actually come in but it did this morning and I was able to get it. It clearly shows the OG Xbox HD AV pack and says so in the title but the Platform says Xbox 360. I wonder if this is a mistake and Lukie games thinks this is a 360 item or if Lukie games doesn't know what this HD Pack is really worth. In any case, if they send the wrong item, I'll just return it for a refund. It's cheap enough to take a chance on. I'll let you all know if I receive the correct item. In the meantime, you may want to put your name of the waiting list in case another comes along. https://www.lukiegames.com/xbox-hd-high-definition-av-pack#
  24. I know this post is a few months old but here is the installation manual for an Xecuter 2.3b Lite+ I actually just removed this from my Xbox 1.0 a couple weeks ago and am looking to possibly eBay it. Any reason I should keep it? Team Xecuter _ Xecuter 2.3B Lite Plus Install.pdf
  25. I pulled the square solder pad on the bottom of a 1.0 (R7R4). I just jammed a tiny piece of wire into the pad area, covered it with solder and tried the bridge again. I was able to get the TSOP writeable.
