  1. The spots shown are negative switched (From memory) and if the LED is running from 5 volt then a 220ohm series resistor should be fine. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  2. UDMA 2, 4, 5, 6 is referring to the data speed from the hard drive to the main board A stock Xbox is UDMA2 (33.3mb/s) A cheap sata2ide will work with UDMA4 (66mb/s) A Startech sta2ide will work with UDMA5 (100mb/s) And a Startech and SSD or a good quality HDD can run the UDMA6 (133mb/s) The cerbios is safe for all versions of Xbox and will allow hard drive sizes of up to 16tb Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  3. I am sure there is a person in Canada selling 3D Resin printed buttons on Facebook and if that's the case I would get a set that way they all match. If I remember the sellers name I will add it here Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  4. I tested the current of the D0 on 1.0-1.4 and it's in the vicinity of single digit micro amps (from memory 7 or 8 micro amps) and a 1.6 is in the high 2 digit micro amps ( around 35 micro amps from memory) I know it doesn't sound a lot but why stress the components if it's not needed Chips like the X3, Open Xenium, Xenium only ground the D0 just long enough to make the Xbox load from the LPC and the rest of the time it's floating. Chips like the Aladdin ground the D0 the entire time the chip is active, And some of the Aladdin chips can't pull the D0 on a 1.6 to ground at all and you need to link the D0 and L1 on the chip in order for the chip to work on a version 1.6 Me I always cut the LFRAME trace with all chips as I see no reason to ever need the original bios again. 5. Anyone know what's with originalxbox on redit Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  6. It should boot to the Open Xenium menu when you power on the Xbox using the eject button. Try grounding the D0 point on the main board instead of wiring to the mod-chip. It is sounding like a install issue and by uploading a good quality pic or 2 of the LPC install to a share site and add the link here will help us see if it's a soldering problem. 7. My Xblast is not connected to the the front panel and it will boot to the preferred bios with the eject button and Xblast menu with the Power button Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  8. Sounds like a soft-mod for a $100 chip that should include cerbios formatted HDD's Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.

  10. Will the Stella chip now enable 128meg for programs as currently the chip will see the extended ram but xbmc4gamers will only use 64meg when using the stella chip the same Xbox with a open xenium works with the 128meg ram Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  11. I was anti wireless as well back when he initially posted this as the wired network was mainly for FTPing games to the new HDD but now with Fatxplorer V3.0 Beta and Cerbios you would have to be crazy to try and fill a 2tb plus HDD using FTP. For me the only need of a network connection is for updating the Clock, Xbmc4gamers and the like. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  12. citrus3000psi from black-dog.tech was developing a digital HDMI for the Xbox that replaced the network connector and it included WiFi connection in place of the Cat5 10/100 connection. I saw a post about 2 or 3 weeks ago stating that it was still going ahead and was close to happening. https://twitter.com/citrus3000psi/status/1292497353258172417 Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  13. Maybe he has already copped some shite of this and I don't understand he reasoning for not having from version 1.0.0 firmware. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  14. The dash you want to load has to be in E:\dashboard I have also tested a Xbox 360 wired controller and a Xbox one wired controller connected direct to the game port and no go but both worked via a OGX360 wired. Unless I need a MakeMhz brand game port to USB. I have been told they used to work but after the last update that option was removed. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  15. I won't be rushing out to get another Stella chip. I don't understand why he won't support a cerbios formatted HDD and why he can't have the user select where to look on the HDD for the main dash you plan on using instead of using E:\dashboard\ Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  16. I believe the chip is a 512kb but if you use Xblast OS to re-flash it the software will automatically resize the file as needed by the chip. I would suggest you re-flash the chip with the cerbios bios file as it supports HDD sizes up to 16tb, Faster IDE bus speeds of up to 133mb/s (Original speed is 33.3.mb/s) providing you have a startech sata2ide and 80wire IDE cable and this will give you faster boot times and quicker game loading from the hard drive, it supports compressed game files and more. The latest version of Cerbios is 2.3.0 and you also need the Cerbios tool to customise the bios before you flash the bios to the mod chip, You also need to copy the correct cerbios.ini file to the Xbox C drive. If you plan on up grading the hard drive I suggest you have a read of this tutorial. https://www.hazeno.com/og-xbox-hdd-upgrade Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  17. As you have cut the Lframe you don't need the D0 wire anymore and I would remove it. It looks like you could use some Flux paste and I hope you are using 60/40 leaded solder Add some flux to all the pins and reheat each one. I also suggest you have a read here. https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-guide-excellent-soldering/common-problems Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  18. Yep The stella chip doesn't have a D0 wire from the board so if that's the chip you plan on using then cut the Lframe The reason I say a oscilloscope is the pules may be to quick for 90% of multi meters . Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  19. Have a look here as it shows some alterative points to add a wire links https://www.xbmc4xbox.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1822 Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  20. If you are using a low quality chip like a Aladdin then it's not pulsed, Chips like the Open Xenium, X3 are safe. As I see no need to ever boot from the original bios I cut the Lframe trace anyway. Testing the D0 out put with a oscilloscope as it's powering on the chip would be the way I would test it as it only pulses the D0 low just long enough to load from the LPC. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  21. Disconnect pin 5 of the LPC as on the 1.6 it's a constant 5 volt Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  22. You really on need to replace the 3 next to the heat sink (3300uf 6.3 volt) I also replace the capacitor next to the power connector as well You can source some from Console5.com or places like DigiKey.com and the like. You are looking for low ESR caps Don't use Ebay or Amazon for sourcing caps As tar as the mod chip goes it will be a 2 X 512kb bios chip and if you plan on using a HDD/SSD above 137gb you will need to update the bios file on it. With that chip you can re-flash it with Xblast OS but if you want to keep the 2 bios compatibility you need to combine the 2 bios files into a 1meg file, You can use a programme called "x2 bios manager" to do that. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  23. This bin file is one I made for my X2.6 and it contains the cerbios 2.2.1 UDMA4 and UDMA5 files https://drive.google.com/file/d/15hPfPXq06wvdG_xeg-G2fvaSXH8QV9Bd/view?usp=drive_link Here is a link that contains the rest of the files for the cerbios in particular you need the cerbios.ini copied to C drive. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zT7xiaHzlfu40-FXtqRXPGTu722YdRAa/view?usp=drive_link Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  24. It should cold boot from a DVD by putting the install disk in the DVD drive and power of the Xbox for around 45 seconds then power on again. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  25. A 1.6 bios will work on a 1.0-1.4 as well as the 1.6 With the X2.6 chip you can easily re-flash it in the Xbox using Xblast. Just keep it in mind the X2.6 is a 2 X 512kb bios chip and if you want to retain the 2 bios option you need to flash both banks at once with a 1024kb file I would recommend using the cerbios and if you need help just ask Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
