  1. Flashing green makes me think it's a DVD drive and the MB thinks the DVD tray is open. If you have a spare DVD drive try that. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  2. The version 1.0 don't have error code it will flash the eject led in different patterns to give you an idea what's wrong Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  3. That fuse has violently blown and I suspect it's been connected to 220 volt. There is a part in the black heat shrink that's probably blown The layout of components of the 220 volt version is different but you may find the PCB reference numbers are the same. It should have Z1 in the board, It's a Metal Oxide Varistor that's used for Surge Protection On a 220-250volt supply it's rated at 275volt AC and above that it blows up and will go short circuit and that blows the fuse,The heat shrink is because they have been known to explode and have sparks escape. I suspect it will have a part number like TVR 10 241 or TVR 10 221 on the component Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  4. What model PSU Fuses don't blow for no reason is the Xbox a 100-120 volt version? Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  5. I would be a bit concerned as it looks like someone has started to try and fix it Can you post a pic of the other side? Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  6. The recovery mode is also in the main menu. But about the only time you need the recovery mode is because the chip is corrupted and you wont have access to the menu Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  7. It's supposed to be but the only this that happens is the orange LED then it frags for a while and shuts down, I made a recovery DVD from a an ISO file and the same happens. Once you enter recovery the chip appears to get wiped and the only way I have found to restore the chip is to boot to a working hard drive and then load Xenium_tools.xbe from the working hard drive and once that's loaded then hot swap to the non working xenium/open xenium and either flash with a backup bin file or the recovery bin file. The recovery bin file will only load the OS and you then need to add your bios files. Edit: I think I have worked it out When in recovery mode ( link on or the switch to recovery) you power on the Xbox and the LED turns orange and the DVD tray opens then you load the recovery DVD and the LED flashes red/green and eventually shuts down the Xbox, The remove the link or return the switch to normal and power on. Then if no bios files are present the it will ask you to flash a bios and if there is a bios files present you can select one to boot he Xbox. 8. Yes the Open Xenium has 2 holes you short together for recovery mode and the Xenium has a switch I have just been playing with this and all it seams to do is make the LED orange and nothing else. 9. The OP it trying to update to the MakeMhz Open Xenium OS from an older chip but as he has tried to update it The Open Xenium has a recovery link but I don't think the original Xenium had the link for recovery. 10. Best to use Fatxploer V3.0 beta on a PC to format the new HDD and then use the same program to copy the files you want to keep from the old drive to the new drive. As an example I can fill a 2tb in under 20 hours using a USB3 Sata adaptor when using Fatxplorer Here is a tutoral on using Fatxplorer https://www.hazeno.com/ogxbox-large-hdd-cerbios Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  11. Failed caps on the DVD PCP and the resistor banks can also have open circuit resistors. I have also noticed with cerbios UDMA5 and a Philips DVD it boots to safe mode. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  12. Can you upload a pic of the modchip. In my view the version 2.3.0 firmware is better than the MakeMHZ version because I have seen several post's of a failed mod-chip after trying to update the bios files on the MakeMhz chip Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  13. As it has a 20gb HDD I think it's already modded upload a pic of the mother board to here https://postimages.org/ and add the link here. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  14. It sounds like a soldering issue with the pin header Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  15. I would just jump straight to the mod chip and you should have right from the start!! I have a couple of unlocked stock hard drives that already have the game saves need to re-flash the on board bios on hand I would fit the pin header and at the same time add the 2 links needed to re-flash the onboard bios chip Ground the D0 on the mother board and plug the modchip on the board Boot the Xbox and then lock the HDD to the Xbox Remove the mod chip and the D0 wire Re-boot the Xbox and re-flash the on board bios and once the Xbox reboots unlock the HDD for next time. Now you can fit the new HDD that you have built using Fatxplorer V3.0 beta and the job is done. Simple Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  16. In the version he sent me there is a Pal and NTSC version for 007AUF ( 4541000d) and you need the file from the flasher folder (21585554) Are you using a pal of NTSC game? as I know the Pal version of 007Auf has to be a specific disk. There is also Mechassault, Tony Hawks 4, MetalArms, Splinter Cell. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  17. The bios flasher uses Xblast to flash the bios and that will automatically fill the 1024kb bios chip on a 1.0-1.1 with 4 copies of the 256kb bios file so you only need 1 256kb file. In the folder called 21585554\000000000000\softmod files\bios you can put you bios files there or use the Net Flash option and flash the Xbox from your computer. This is a video of my Splinter Cell one I use a lot of the time Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  18. That not a easy thing to do as when you boot from a mod chip the Xbox will only re-flash the mod chip and not the onboard bios chip, I f you want to re-flash the onboard bios chip the Xbox need to boot from it. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  19. Yes as long as the HDD key that's in the hard modded Xbox's the eeprom matches the HDD key in the hard drive, But if the hard drive has been locked in a different Xbox then that hard drive will not work. For you info a Hardmod generally refers to a mod-chip or onboard bios re-flash (TSOP) Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  20. It sounds like the EEProm in the Xbox is not nulled to all ones I would use the original soft modded HDD to re-flash the onboard bios chip and then unlock the new drive with Fatxploer v3.0 beta and use that. My Heimdall's disk is now a coffee cup coaster and if you must use a install disk then use the OGXBox installer disk V1.5.4 https://1fichier.com/dir/mX1kipIz But in my view you are wasting you time with install disks I am getting a laugh from the stuffing around the OP is going to trying to upgrade the hard drive. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  21. I had the same issue when replying to online forums and the like from my phone. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  22. It was pre flashed and it's called JiffyDos https://www.c64-wiki.com/wiki/JiffyDOS Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  23. When I did a upgrade to my commodore computer floppy drive to add the faster data transfer that was a eprom replacement for the drive and mother board. Non of this re-flashing like now. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  24. Yep the 1st mod chip was a prom (Program Read Only Memory) or eprom (Erasable Read Only Memory) that had 29 wires then the next was a eeprom ( Electrically Erasable Read Only Memory) (cheap mod) that soldered direct to the LPC port. 25. Matrix Xodus here is some info http://web.archive.org/web/20040716181333/http://dwl.xbox-scene.net/~xbox/xbox-scene/tutorials/ManualV1.1.pdf Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
