  1. I recommend running some tests on the HDD to verify that’s it’s still in working order and not on its last leg. I have plenty of IDE HDDs if that turns out to be the issue.
  2. @Galindradaplease post a picture of the error screen in its entirety. Edit: If you have some soldering skills, you could connect the TSOP points in preparation of a flash. Some of the 1.0 boards can throw errors without a code. I think the earlier versions just didn’t have that built in to them. This being said, it could be any number of things wrong with it and backing up your eeprom should be the top priority right now.
  3. I'd start with giving the laser lens a good cleaning and see if maybe that changes anything.
  4. You can easily get 2-4TB Sata drives for $30-50 and even cheaper if you’re bargain savy. Saying they’re expensive and less cost efficient than an SSD is just silly. Of course you can find everything at higher price points, but that doesn’t mean they’re not available for much cheaper if you look around.
  5. @KaosEngineer @SS_Dave
  6. Sounds like the disc drive board is dead. Therefore the Xbox can’t verify that there is a dvd drive connected and won’t complete the boot process. Time for a new drive or going all digital and get a module in place of the drive.
  7. Did you change the jumpers at all while cloning? If so, did you remember to change them back? Have you tried the original drive again?
  8. If that drive s an IDE device then use UDMA2 as RMM suggested. Once you start using SATA drives you can start speeding up to UDMA 4-6, depending on your adapter and IDE cable.
  9. AliExpress is your best, but slowest option for adapters. eBay is great also if you want them quicker for double the price. Just search "IDE to SATA adapters" And look for bulk deals. AliExpress is always bulk deals.
  10. Congratulations! Feels good to do it yourself right? Did you solder or use the pen?
  11. That could actually be updated from when it was proclaimed to be 100%. I'm not sure on what the status is today to be honest. I will say that I don't see the usefulness of using .cci if you're not scrubbing and trimming the files. Seems redundant for that list to say some files need to have that done.
  12. 100% compatibility and reduces the complete library to roughly 1.7TB.
  13. Do you remember which version of Cerbios you used to flash? You should be choosing the UDMA 2 option for a stock HDD. If you chose anything higher, then you will experience problems as those are for Sata or SSD HDDs. Edit: I don’t see any mention that you connected the proper points on the mobo to perform the TSOP flash. You may have done so already, but it’s worth noting since it wasn’t mentioned.
  14. I’ve got several IDE HDDs in various sizes if you want to upgrade to something small without having to buy a new SATA HDD, adapter and 80wire cables. Also can install chips for you if you don’t have the capability.
  15. Yep that’s the winner. I’ll admit that I’m terrible at navigating through GitHub so I’ll try to find a BOM and look into building this. I’m most definitely going to need some sort of tutorial.
  16. This is something more along the lines of what I’m looking for. Even tho it requires each port to have a small dongle, it’s a hell of a lot cleaner than cables everywhere.
  17. Got some more info? Is this your project?
  18. I’ve done a little digging lately and it seems there are quite a few options these days for wireless support of more modern controllers. I’m looking to avoid a ton of cables going everywhere for 4 controller support. The Brook Wingman XB2 is a nice option, but requires 4 of them, similar to the OGX360 module needing all four controller ports to be physically connected when in use. This obviously causes a mess of cables and gets quite pricey. Looking for some information about any newer/lesser known options. I’m all for making this myself and hopefully internalizing it. I just can’t stress enough that the amount of loose cables is a huge turnoff for me.
  19. This is actually a terrific idea. However, that would require quite a bit of work and cost. Customer isn’t paying for all of that lol. That would definitely be an end game design for a personal console.
  20. I’m finishing up a custom Seattle Seahawks console for someone. The clear coat on the case is drying as it type this. Tomorrow I’ll install a dual color (green/blue) 80 LED kit, with on/off switches for each color. All that is left to do is the Jewel. I’ve been thinking for weeks now and can not decide on what to do with it. I don’t want to be lazy and leave it clear. The best thing i have come up with is blue with clear letters and that’s just lame to me All ideas are welcome. Some of them may get laughed at.
  21. This is the logical solution to this thread. Now knowing that you’ve had access to a chip this entire time lol. Any further tinkering is just going around your ass to get to your elbow.
  22. He’s using the Platinum Hits version 1448527. Apparently it isn’t compatible. I’m gonna send him my extra copy of Splinter Cell that’s guaranteed to work if he truly can’t get it done with what he has.
  23. Huge clarification. If you’re handy with a soldering iron, get a chip. It can be a cheap one or send it to one of us for a quick install. You’ll be back in business in no time.
