  1. Just a little heads up. You steal your self room to work with. You don't need any wire and there is also no need to cut the housing. Bent the pins of the LED to your needs and strip them down as mutch as needed. It will also become more stable if you solder the LED like you did. You could also turn arround the LED so the light up the metal housing. That way you have a more smooth lightning without a spot. But other than that, good first job. E: VHS for scale? 2. Strange. Mine are all there. Thats what I wrote in the next post.
  3. 7,- bucks. Damn Donnie you're ritch, I mean Ritchy Ritch ritch. So 7 is way over my budget but, I have some of those from a "get 10 for 5,-" deal and all can do 128MB - > https://imgur.com/a/mBFbIZj Mabey Snappy already used all of them so there are no more for us.
  4. I don't have them. Just read about the mods. Never was a fan of halo.
  5. When a black Van is in front of your house, you should stop and run like hell. No there are texture patches, ram patches ect.
  6. Halo does use it when patched in 720p.
  7. Here you can see 2 mods I have made. Power for the HDD comes from the drive header as suggested by SuperSmart_Dave ( @SS_Dave ). https://imgur.com/a/jrSyWLD
  8. Isn't guarantee something ppl. get who actualy bought something?
  9. Well..... TBH you should pick something you can make a couple of bucks with. Me in your position would sell the hardmodded Halo xbox to make some cash. After that mod the other with a chip. From the rest of the cash buy another xbox you can mod and sell again to make more cash. Simple enough I guess. Needs just a YOU jumping over your own shadow. Sandpaper in case you are about to paint it.
  10. Remove corrosion from the metal case (top and bottom) and then paint it black. Or use one from another xbox. Why using the Aladdin? No USB-Stick/MC/XBox360MU around? Consider buying one, it's always good to have one on hand.
  11. BoB (Buy or Build). Or option 3, flash the TSOP. Btw. put that metal cover back in. Looks way better with it imo.
  12. Add some flux and reflow all of them just to rule that out. And D0 is for real horrible. When you flip the board over there is always a change the cable moves and shorts something.
  13. As long as you have D0 connectet to ground your xbox will still frag. Reason for that is that, when you link D0 ground the XBox tries to boot from the LPC no matter what. And watching at the pics make me shiver. The cable on the D0 pad could sort to the near by pads, way to much exposed wire there. And 2 pins on the header seems not soldered very well. They maybe make didn't good contact.
  14. Everthing comes down to your personal skill (in the very first place) and the tools you use. Look at one of your TSOP's. If I'm not wrong those are 0.5mm pitch. Not to hard to solder under a microscope and the right tip.
  15. There is also one for Rockys iND 5003 XISO bios. But it was for the initial HDMI version not for the later HD+ version so I'm not sure if it would work there as well.
  16. 1.4 in a 1.6 work without any problem. Did it a lot of times. 1.6 in a 1.4 case works also if you remove the one metal standoff for the screw by the video encoder.
  17. Depends on the XBlast version you like to build.
  18. The xboxdash.xbe is a hardcoded not changeable value to ensure that at least something will boot and you are not hang on a black screen. The same applies for the DVD drive values which will always fall back to default.xbe.
  19. I bet you have sold the last one before I managed to flash my first (out of 50) Xblast-Lite. This ISE Design Suite and iMPACT alonge with the DLC10 drives me nuts. *WAHHHHH*
  20. Let's quote Dave because we can: After a little coloring and playing with the font size, what you think Bowly? Does it fall back or not? (Psst, a little hint -> It does! But don't tell anyone that I'm a snitch and helped you.)
  21. Most stable? UDMA2 (or UDMA4 if you use SATA + 80 wire cable), I would say. Sure why should it be not safe? However, If you don't want to use CCI or go above 2TB and you don't care for UDMA4/5/6 modes, stick to your iND. ^^
