Controller Port 1 & 2 USB SD Card Reader
ApoRam posted a topic in Hardware ModsI have installed a USB SD Card reader onto Controller Port 1 and that part appears to work great! Unfortunately however, the controller "locks" and will not respond! Im wondering if the 4GB limit might apply to the Controller I/O Scheme causing it to "leak over" the current limit installed as port 2 also does the same thing and it also has a USB Reader also attached to it as well. The controller DOES FUNCTION great in ports 3 and 4 where the USB is NOT installed.
Scaby Daby Doo posted a topic in RepairIs it Possible to retrieve my EEPROM via usb? Ive seen all the vids using PonyProg and have made a reader in the past for an old Xbox, my problem now is my old pc is long gone and all i have now is a laptop with 2 usb 3.0 and 1 usb-c ports no ethernet I can use a usb to ethernet converter. I also have a serial to ethernet cable. i could do this.... Xbox + eeprom cable + serial to ethernet cable + ethernet to usb. This sounds like a bad idea and I don't think Ponyprog likes usb. Aside from a mod chip what are my options. The box in question is a 1.2 which i intend to tsop, I also have a softmoded 1.6

OGXBox PDF Reader ?

Need a checkup on building a EEPROM reader from a person with a background on electronics. Can I use two leds in series instead of a 5.1V zener diode rated at 1W for a EEPROM xbox original reader? Can a 3.0V coin battery or 4X1.2V AA batteries @ 4.8V be used as a external powersupply directly? Would 4.8V have too high of mAh or current for the EEPROM chip? I plan to use a serial to RJ45 with a connector to ethernet as a cable. I am using a bread board to create the circuit. I plan to use the materials I already have.
