  1. Hello everyone - I'm happy to report I just successfully installed an OpenXenium modchip to my Xbox 1.0, I've tested it, and it boots to the OpenXenium menu. I also dropped in a 1tb sata drive. My question is, what's the best next step from here in terms of bios / dashboard? I've created the OGXBox Installer 2021 DVD. Can I do everything I need with just that DVD? If so, how do I boot it from the openxenium menu?
  2. I got original xbox with intentions to only use working dvd drive to swap for parts but up found the existing hdd looked damaged as original owner said xbox was making arching noises. I figured to see if I can get the xbox going again. The machine powers on and shuts off at 1:15(s) that is with a working hdd. I swapped the power supply from a working machine and same thing. The dvd drive does work on a working machine. I relocked the hdd from another machine to this one the hdd was softmodded didn't work. I then reformatted with stock C and E files relocked hdd didn't work. The original xbox powers on automatically when plugged in. The original xbox has a Xecuter 2.6 mod chip. I ran the setup without modchip installed, with modchip turned off and with modchip on - no improvements. Any suggestions as what to do next? What to test for? When on stock dashboard I could not load a disc properly. When on softmod dashboard disc would not load properly. Not sure if there is a ide cable issue? Not sure if the hdd is setup correctly for given bios? Not sure if bios is corrupt. Dvd drive - works Power Supply - works Replaced Hdd Motherboard ? Modchip ?
  3. hi, i have got my xbit 1.5 to work after 5 days messing with it i have loaded the iND-BiOS.Beta.Feb-11-05.67.bin (256k) and when i start the xbox i see a screen saying ind bios. but then it load to the standart dashboard with no new options. do i need now a hexen dvd and make a softmod to unlock everything? i thought when you dissable the modchip the xbox will start up in stock config, but when i softmod it this will still be active. what should i do next after booting the new bios: make a softmod or get another dashboard? i think it goes only like this: softmod and then the installation of a dashboard. thanks for your advice
  4. I am planning my first slim, with my newly acquired (and first) chipped Xbox. But I am not sure what chip it is, and what I should do. What bios to flash and so on, I have only worked with softmods before. How ro run the Xbox without a dvd drive? Sent fra min NX551J via Tapatalk
