  1. I'm writing this up to share the experiences I have while going down this rabbit hole. I spoke with @KaosEngineerto get a better footing, and turns out there is far less then I thought there was on this topic, so I want to help others out who may find themselves in this boat. To clarify, the goal is to have original feel and operability of the original consoles on a modded XBOX's emulator. If I want to play NES Mario Bro's, it would feel and work better with an NES controller, same with Mario Kart for SNES, and Sonic on SEGA. But hell, most folks, especially us OGXBOX diehards, have no re
  2. Hi all I am a new member, so am not sure if this posting is in the correct place, but any help would be really appreciated. I bought a modded Xbox with XBMC/Coinops4 on it about 6-7 years ago and then stored it away without really trying it out. In all there are about 5,000 emulated arcade and console games present. I recently decided to start looking at it properly, and so far it seems to be working fine (on a HD ready LCD) except for the following issues/queries. Although not a technical person I have spent the last 2-3 weeks scouring the inter

I bought a modded Xbox with XBMC/Coinops4 on it about 6-7 years ago and then stored it away without really trying it out. In all there are about 5,000 emulated arcade and console games present (plus a few Xbox titles). 4. Got 3 custom built NES Xbox controllers for sale. They are custom built and use the original controller cable, a new NES classic controller shell and work just like a regular official Xbox controller. Perfect for playing NES or Gameboy games on the Xbox! Price: 40€ each+shipping costs.
  5. Hey everyone does anyone know how to hookup a nes or snes controller to a og xbox
  6. As always, the finished product goes first. The system is a XChip modded xbox running XBMC. Has 4,000 games backedup on it (Coinops-NES, Atari 2600, N64, PS1, Arcade games and everything inbetween. Including some PC game ports as well as backed up Xbox games with custom maps and features). But, there's a twist. It can use original, unmodified NES controllers. And full SNES controllers with a simple SNES>NES adapter (Fun fact, they have the same contacts, just different plugs). This is designed to be a very long lasting Xbox. It runs under 100 degrees Fahrenheit and everything
  7. Howdy folks. I just started in on HW modding. Ive soft modded things and built many computers but this is something else entirely. I have disassembled my 1.0 xbox and will solder the tsop. THe next step is to figure out how to flash the bios and enable the hdd. I've never done this before so wish me luck!!!
  8. Every game run on this emu suffers from screen tearing. The only way that I found to circumvent this issue is to go into: Configuration -> Video Configuration -> Other Video Configurations -> Xbox Hardware Filtering and change it to Bilinear Filtering, but the image is too soft for my liking. By default, it is set to Point Filtering, and software filter: None Any alternatives?
