  1. Recently had two Philips DVD drives stop reading discs so I opened them up, disconnected all of the internal ribbon cables so I could try and pot tweak. When I reassembled them and powered it up again, I got the error 12 code. I've tested the IDE cable as currently connected with other DVD drives and it works fine so its not the cable or connection so I figure it has to be something I did when reconnecting the three internal DVD ribbon cables and the internal power cable. I was able to boot into an XBOX that had the DVD drive check bypassed via Cerbios so I could access UnleashX to check system information / DVD information. The DVD region showed up but every other DVD category just showed an italic "I". Does anybody have a pic of the bottom side of a Philips VAD 6011/21 (POS) DVD mobo that shows its internal DVD ribbon connections properly seated / how far the ribbon cables go in....or maybe have any other ideas as to the reason why I'm suddenly popping Error 12? (again, its not an ide cable connection issue, that has been ruled out). Thanks!
  2. or it's a flaw of XBMC, since vanilla xbmc is also don't have this option. Kinda cumbersome to switch between xbmc and unleashx
  3. With the eventual goal of creating a very slimmed down xbox I took one of the cheap SD to IDE adapters and modified it into this. Desoldered the existing male header; soldered a female header onto the back for a direct motherboard connection. Soldered the power connection to the DVD header to keep wires from running across the board. Unfortunately this meant the openxenium install was to tall; so that got a direct solder to the motherboard.
  4. hey guys, i've a problem with my xbox-controller in connection to my pc. when I need to pair my controller with my laptop with the xbox app i am getting this mistake message: 0x800708ca do you have any concept what i'm able to do about it?
  5. Hi, just wondering if anyone can help me regarding connecting my Xbox one to my internet via a wired connection ( Ethernet cable ) we have recently just moved to new house and since then I’m able to use a wired connection wireless is NOT fine, there is nothing wrong with the Ethernet cable as it allows me to use it on internet. I have spoken to the house’s landlord it is service provider Bell (I am in CA) and they told me there was a few steps I could follow online and make my own server designated to my Xbox one, however they want me to purchase their router from them with password? I want to use my own router (as I have one Netgear) & settings that make my own server and at the end however it kept saying unable to connect due to no valid IP address, before I went into my router settings the Ethernet on its own works for xbox but not for my Playstation 3 with the same error msg no valid ip address found(when connected ethernet cable to PS3) ? Any help towards this would be appreciated cheers.
