  1. Don't think about it, I know someone who informed to make these ant it was 30000 usd to make the molds and some samples. You can never get that investment back in a community this small like the xbox scene.
  2. So you just missing that one button and the x3 chip? Just 3D print a set of buttons and you can complete a 2nd x3cp.
  3. Another blue x3cp popped up on ebay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/266394285966?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&fromMakeTrack=true
  4. Ernegien is not a new guy. He is well known the scene (also under another name) and did release lots of open source og xbox projects
  5. What do you mean with that? Other people like PixelFX or Nemesis can make there own take on a HDMI mod for the ogxbox? Dustin was the first to release a mod like that (and with great success), kudos to him for that. But I do not see a reason that other people cant do a take on an internal HDMI mod. And as far as I know you cant buy the standalone xboxHD+ anymore. There is a gap left there. Not everyone wants a stellar to have a hdmi mod in there consoles. Like me, I have a stellar but its not that I will buy one for every console I use. Why? Because I have some X3CP xbox consoles and I want to keep using the X3 chip for these (my main console is one of the X3CPs) Thats a good point to support projects like this from my point of view.
  6. Sure the caps are fine on these boards? It is very unlikely you killing 2 motherbords and 1 psu with doing ram upgrades. Also check solder splashes around the motherboard. I once had an ram chip soldered in the wrong way. And this board is maybe killed. It has artifacts in the video output. It can be coincidence (maybe the artifacts where there from the beginning, I didnt test the motherboard a lot before upgrade)But I think the artifacts are from the wrong placing of the chips. I replaced the video encoder, all big caps, caps near video port, nothing helps. Maybe its the gpu thats killed. What Im trying to say is make sure the ram chips are soldered the correct way. edit and dont use hot air but an soldering iron to put them on.
  7. I have an openxenium and probably a spare lcd screen somewhere in my xbox parts, but no Spi2par2019 unfortunately.
  8. yeah I was surprised to tbh, its like 10C less than stock cooling at stock speed. Also my readings where not 100% real time because to see the temps after a game I must do a IGR to dash, that takes some time where the console can cool a little bit extra. If we would set the stock fan to 100% we would get better temps to but it would be like a jet plane taking off. A better test would be someone that can read the temps while ingame.
  9. It doesn’t need to be noctua. Im sure there are other good brands out there. The only reason I took noctua was because thats the brand that Im used to and know. And yes the brown is not so nice but tbh after watching for years on the brown noctuas I start to like the color scheme now haha
  10. I found some info here, I only dont know if this is also the case for X3, I thought it was but now Im not sure anymore. I never use the x3 bios, only cerbios. @Bowlsnapper
  11. This can be the case, if it was for the x3 chip you can replace the X3 logo where the microsoft normaly shows with some other logo. But the logo is stored and loaded from the hdd when the console boots. This isnt injected in the bios. But what sylver want to change is the microsoft logo inside the bios itself without placing files on the hdd.
  12. I did see that on hdd ready games, but to be fair, like you said, I also think its something else. I think its more something to do with the way of transfering the files. What would be the chance that the op just uploaded all select games that give problems?
  13. press short on the power button to boot from the chip. You probably press long and that way the console boots to the tsop edit: if the console boots from tsop you can tell by the xecuter logo on the front under the bank select buttons turns red, that indicates that the chip is not active
  14. the first time you start halo2 its slow because this game does install game files to the hdd. The 2nd time you start it it loads fast.
  15. If Im not mistaken there should also be a red wire that goes to the board for the powerbutton, it belongs to that pcb most right on your picture edit: you can see the red cable there:
  16. the green pcb is from the motherboard of your xbox, this has nothing to do with the x3 modchip or face plate. as for the cables, the yellow one is to connect your dvd drive to your motherboard, this has also nothing to do with the x3 modchip or face plate. for with the modchip: the piece with all the coloured cables, the black cable and the right pcb for with the faceplate: the left pcb
  17. no this is because you use another version of the game than is set in the json of repackinator. there is an alt json with all the alt games where you can search your game and copy/paste it to the main json. If you done this repackinator will find your iso. alternate you can rename the als json to the main jsons name and re run the list, then repackinator will do all the alt games found that didnt want to process the first time
  18. just use the cci compatibility list as lead and you will have a golden hdd https://www.xbox-scene.info/forums/topic/336-cerbios-compatibility-lists/#comment-472
  19. I did also posted the install manual for the fan mod here: https://www.xbox-scene.info/articles.html/sneakpeak-dual-80mm-fan-caddy-conversion-by-nemesis-from-xeniummods-r15/ There is some extra info added about powering the fans on a 1.6 rev motherboard. I wanted to add it in this post aswell but I can't edit it anymore. So I will post it here:
  20. I did some gaming The fanspeed setting I used: in bios 100% in dash 20% xbox output fan is always at 100% (60mm) The noctua 60mm fan is even at 100% reasonable quiet, not really loader than the stock fan at default speed. In dash at 20% for the 80mm fans they do not come over the sound of the output fan when in game at 100% you hear them if you turn the sound down but its not an distracting sound. These are all noctua fans, these are known to be silent, other fans can give different results, maybe yours cool better but have more sound, ect The temps I had where: after playing colin mcrae rally 2005 cpu:39 mb:36 after playing pro race driver cpu:35 mb:37
  21. I only did a test with the fans at 100%. But I will do some extra testing when I have some extra spare time.
