  1. Are you asking if or stating that it does start XBMC-Emustation again?
  2. No, it patches the in RAM copy of the kernel to add XISO mounting capabilities to the system. It does not reflash the BIOS.
  3. Is the LED on the IDE-to-SATA adapter lit? Edit: That's not a good adapter to use with the Xbox. It may be dead. Reflowing the solder connections for the SATA connector and replacing the two larger electrolytic caps may be required to get it work.
  4. Which adapter is it? Does it have a MASTER/SLAVE jumper block? If so, make sure it is set to SLAVE. If not, it will not work with Chimp to clone the old to a new hard drive. You need to obtain an IDE-to-SATA adapter that does have a MASTER/SLAVE jumper block to select which device it is on the IDE bus.
  5. I don't know how that can happen since power or eject turned on the console. Pressing power again should turn it off. If off, pressing the top larger front panel Eject button will turn the console on and eject the DVD tray. Pressing it again will close the tray but not turn off the console. That requires pressing the smaller power button.
  6. Format the ipod nano again using FATXplorer 3.0 beta then copy the two save files / numbered folders to the root / top-level folder. Edit: Forget that you ever knew that the old buggy Xplorer360 application ever existed.
  7. IGR is a four (4) button combo, not just two (2). Both triggers plus the two buttons you mentioned.
  8. I believe it is flashing ORANGE; however, the right-hand red LED is not working. Edit: Is the exhaust fan running at full speed too?
  9. One of the current limiting resistors must be damaged or missing on the motherboard or a wire disconnected from the motherboard to the front panel. (Flashing orange but the right side's RED LED is not coming on.) There's a signal for the RED and the GREEN LEDs coming from the PIC processor to turn them on / off. These signals go to two transistors that power the RED and GREEN LEDS on both the left and right-hand side of the front panel Eject ring. The output of the drive transistor goes through two separate current limiting resistors. One for the left and right side tri-color LED's green and red half. When ORANGE, both the RED and GREEN LEDs are lit. Edit: Make sure the resistor that connects to pin 7 of the FPIO connector is present and not broken on the motherboard and that the wire to pin 7 is still connected. 10. 3300 microFarad 6.3Vdc rated, I suggest Panasonic FR series Nichicon UHW series, or Rubycon ZLQ series electrolytic capacitors. Order the capacitors from https://uk.rs-online.com/. They have the Panasonic FR caps in 5 or 200 packs. 5 Pack - https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/aluminium-capacitors/7660044 Price Each (In a Pack of 5): £0.974 (exc. VAT) £1.169 (inc. VAT) 200 Pack - https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/aluminium-capacitors/9232770 Price Each (In a Bag of 200): £0.576 (exc. VAT) £0.691 (inc. VAT)
  11. WMA files. You cannot simply upload the file via FTP to add it to the available soundtracks. There's a special ST.DB file that must be edited and the new album/song file(s) placed in the correct location for them to be be accessible to games that support custom soundtracks. Instead, use the CD ripping feature of the stock dashboard to add new songs/albums.
  12. It is on xbin.org.s FTP server; however, it is in the wrong location. Being a Windows application - dot exe file - that runs on a PC, it should be in XBOX / PC Based Applications / xbe-xip-xbx tools / XBE_Audio_Patcher / but it is actually in XBOX / Console Based Applications / utilities / XBE_Audio_Patcher / It does not include the comdlg32.ocx file either, so it will most likely display an error message stating that file is missing when you run it.
  13. Run FATXplorer 3.0 Beta, mount the C partition of the unlocked hard drive, copy the current content of the Xbox's C drive to your PC - X: once mounted by FATXplorer. Next, delete all of the content on the Xbox's C drive then add the content extracted from XBHDM Build.zip. Unmount the C partition (X: drive). Exit FATXplorer 3.0 beta. Disconnect the Xbox hard drive from your PC and reinstall it into the Xbox. When you power on the console, the Xbox Softmodding Tool installer will run. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete installation. Connect the Xbox to your home network and download the E:\Backup\EEPROM\eeprom.bin file to your PC.
  14. noDVD BIOS does not mean the Xbox will not still load a DVD if the drive is connected. It just means a DVD drive does not have to be connected to the IDE bus. It skips the requirement that a DVD drive must be connected. Go ahead.
  15. Yes; however, for step 6, forget about using the old buggy Xplorer360 app instead use FATXplorer 3.0 beta. You could use xboxhdm23usb beta3 to install a no-original-game-disc-required bootable softmod installer. To obtain the latest bootable softmod installer, download XBHDM Build.zip from the pre-built Xbox Softmodding Tool repository's Installer Variants subfolder: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Gs_yYVotDxAxtHZeHUVr_ts7KeMgqEmQ Extract its content and replace the files in the XboxHDM23USB Beta 3's HDD_files/C folder. Or, use FATXplorer 3.0 beta to mount the unlocked hard drive's C partition and write the bootable softmod installer files extracted from the XBHDM Build.zip file to it.
  16. The Xbox hard drive is still locked. Your hotswapping did not work! The Xbox did not unlock the drive before you disconnected it or you lost power or the IDE bus was reset when you connected it to your PC. Turn off the Xbox, reconnect the hard drive to it, disconnect the DVD drive. Power on the Xbox. Wait until the error 12 screen appears. Make sure you do not lose power when you disconnect the IDE cable from the Xbox's hard drive then connect it to your PC. Try FATXplorer 3.0 beta again to check the lock status.
  17. Run the Xbox Controller Test application to see if it functions correctly. Do all of the controls register as expected in the app? The app is TestLaunch available from the link on the web page - https://consolemods.org/wiki/Xbox:TestLaunch. Or, in XISO disc image format from ogxbox.com's download section:
  18. To boot into Xenium OS, power on the console with the Eject button. Edit: If it is has a BIOS flashed and set as the default, when you use the power button it boots. It may not be the correct version for your Xbox. A v1.0-1.4 BIOS will not work on a v1.6 Xbox. Edit2: However, you don't have a v1.6 motherboard. ??? Not sure. Does it go into the Xenium OS if you power on the console with the Eject button?
  19. There is not SPI interface on an SST49LF020 flash memory chip. It can only be accessed via low-pin count (LPC) or parallel programming mode.
  20. There is no such thing as a v1.5 motherboard. User error measuring signals present on the LPC Debug port.
  21. How's the GDR-8163B connected to your PC? The last one I flashed was directly connected to an IDE connector on my old PC. To flash the drive, I believe you must connect the drive directly to a native IDE bus, not through a USB-to-IDE adapter.
  22. New save created. Save slots 1 and 2 are being used. 00000002.zip
  23. Ok, I'll load the game again when I get home and update the game save.
  24. Do you have an Xbox controller port female to male Type-A USB adapter cable? Like this one: PC USB cable for Xbox Controller Converter Adapter Cable for Xbox to USB FW | eBay With one, you can connect the controller to a PC to obtain the idVendor and idProduct values for the controller using the standalone Windows application usbview.exe (mediafire.com download link). These values should identify the manufacturer and model of the controller.
