  1. Please forgive my dumb questions, but I’m on github now, and it appears that there’s only one link for a prebuilt version. What version is that? When I downloaded the one I was using, it wasn’t the current stable release.
  2. I already removed it. This is the previous install version though, it’s 1.2.122. I haven’t been on your github since. I’ll have go to find it. I still have artwork installer as an app, but I don’t know if I should use it in this version.
  3. I had tried that. It wouldn’t even let me FTP in. I ended up putting in a HEXEN disc, and going back to another dash to FTP in. Then I did a fresh install of XBMC4GAMERS. I’m running again, but not sure what happened. i still need to figure out if this is the same version of XBMC4gamers though. I was running the version that you had told me about, when you made artwork installer an Application. I’m not sure if the copy I had saved is the same one or the one before that. How do I find that out? And is there a config file or something I can backup, when everything is set the way I like, so if I need to do a fresh install again I can save my settings?
  4. I updated urldownloader last night, and I don’t know if it hung up on the install or what, but now I’m locked up. When I boot up, I get the same message saying it was updated, with an OK button. I click the button and it goes away but I’m locked up. Not sure what to do.
  5. If you already have XBMC4GAMERS installed, and the Xbox is connected to the internet, you can go into Options, select settings, and go to Downloader. If you’ve never used it it will have to download and install. From there you can download Artwork installer and install it. It will run a script that will seek out the directories Games, Homebrew, emulators, apps, etc., and install the artwork for the games/etc. that it finds in them. It does it automatically. If you have the latest version of XBMC4gamers, artwork installer installs as an app, so the you have the option to manually install what it didn’t find. As for customizing XBMC4gamers, someone else will have to chime in. I am trying to figure that out a little also.
  6. On a TSOP’ed Xbox is there still a need for region switching or will it automatically play both NTSC and PAL? I don’t currently have any PAL, so I just wondering.
  7. Now that I have the manual artwork installer, my previous questions were answered. Now, can anyone explain how to get the artwork working if I sort all my games into directories, alphabetically for example?
  8. Adding a default.tbn and fan art.jpg worked for some. But some have a different stock image associated with them. How do I find and change it?
  9. Is there a way to “lock out” changes to skin settings in XBMC4GAMERS? And/or password protect files and folders? Ive also been questioning how to add fanart and covers (default.tbn), for games that don’t have them in artwork installer?
  10. Is it as simple as placing a file named default.tbm and a fan art.jpg? And how do I create or save as a .tbn file?
  11. Man, I wouldn’t mind knowing more about the wiring, and the OGX360.
  12. What do you use your usb for? And what is “and OGX360 for controllers 1 and 2”? I would also love it if you were to post your exploits, to allow TSOP flash without softmod.
  13. Does the box art associated with a particular game have anything to do with why the xbe files are patched on some downloaded games? Or is that just to make the games able to run on the HD?
  14. I am using XBMC4GAMERS, an I used the artwork installer, which did install artwork for almost all of my games. But can I manually do it for the games/emus etc., that it missed? If so, how? And can I change the cover art associated with a particular game specifically? I have that I downloaded that seem to have their own unofficial art.
  15. Thanks, I’ll check them out I wouldn’t mind hearing some recommendations on good homebrews. I’ve not tried very many.
  16. Ok, so it was a dumb question. I figured there was a reason. I’ve seen the bridge adaptors, but I’ve never tried one.
  17. So, here is a dumb idea, or maybe suggestion for one of the many genius coders here. What’s the likelihood that someone could figure out how to use a Xbox 360 WiFi adaptor on a modded original Xbox (maybe in XBMC?)
  18. TruHeXEn doesn’t remove the “hexins” folder. Since I am booting to XBMC4gamers, is there any reason why I couldn’t delete the folder and the dashboards I’m not using? And anyone know where I can find the AID iso?
  19. Yeah, if you turn on “auto detect”, which I believe under network settings, XBMC4gamers will pop up and ask autodetected another Xbox, do you want to connect yes or no.
  20. So, I have been copying stuff from one Xbox to the other, just thru an Ethernet switch, using the file manager and “auto detect” in XBMC4gamers to ftp. I’m really happy with how well it works.
  21. I’ve seen a number of YouTube videos of people showing off their Xbox mods. Several of them had replaced one or more game pad ports with USB ports. Is there a way to read and write to a USB port from the dashboard file managers? And is the USB 1.1 or 2.0?
  22. That’s actually what I want. I tried Slayers this second time, and IMO it’s not much different from HeXEn. I’ll be looking for that AID disc
  23. I just switched back to X2-5035 on both and the FTP is actually easier and faster. I wish I understood why. I’d like to better understand what all I can set in the bios and how to do it. I’d like to change the flubber colors too, if there’s a working config maker for x-5035.
  24. Can anyone confirm if the X2 config maker will work with 5035?
