  1. I'd already done that, the issue was with them being in alphabetical folders, which I put in my edited post. Thank you anyway!
  2. I think XBPartitioner let's you check from what I can see online, but I haven't used it myself.
  3. I'm pretty close to these numbers now with an old laptop HDD, so I don't think I have an issue after all. Thank you for testing and helping me to compare! I loved the extra speed when I was testing with the SSD, so I've ordered a 2TB SSD. The 8TB SSD I was testing with is way overkill for the CCI set and I'm not interested in emulators, etc. so the 2TB SSD will be perfect.
  4. Could you try Half Life 2 for me? I got bored after timing it for over 3 minutes with the save game deleted lol
  5. That's a good idea! I'll give that a go tomorrow. I'm not using a HDMI mod, so don't need 2.3.2, I just thought I'd update to the latest.
  6. Okay, both HDD's were bad. I also did lots of testing and still can't get loading times like you. That Halo load time of 25 seconds is with the save file deleted from the OG Xbox Dash, a new game started and timed until you can hear the cutscene? I've been testing with a brand new SSD i was saving for something else on UDMA6 with the dvd drive disconnected and in Modern mode in the Cerbios ini which should be really fast and it still takes me 37 seconds to load in the way mentioned above. I've tried UDMA 5 and 6 bios, cable select and master on the Startech adapter, etc. I'm running out of ideas.
  7. I might try that, thank you for your help!
  8. That's the same pack I started with, then deleted the duplicates. And I don't bother with emulators, so I would have even more space left than you do. I'll try 256kb clusters now, and if it's still not better then I guess I need a new harddrive lol
  9. I tried changing the dvd mode just now and it made no difference. I guess I'll try again with 256kb clusters instead. How many games do you have on your drive?
  10. I have to admit I found the guide kind of ambiguous since it says 2-4tb and then 4-8tb so I wasn't 100%. UnleashX says Ultra DMA mode 64.
  11. Hi all, I've just today re-formatted a 4TB drive (this is different to the 2TB drive I was using previously which also had the same issue) with 512kb cluster size using Hazeno's images on a new 80 wire IDE cable and Startech Adapter. I'm TSOP modded with Cerbios 2.3.2 UDMA6. From what I can gather, I should be getting pretty decent speeds with this configuration. However, some games seem to take forever to load compared to some benchmarks I'm seeing. Take this for example https://www.retrorgb.com/og-xbox-storage-upgrade-shootout.html Half Life 2 worst case on there is 51 seconds. If I delete the save file to replicate an initial load, it takes minutes for me. Halo takes nearly 40 seconds as opposed to worst case 27. Is it purely that I have a lot of games (just over 1000) on the drive? It's a barebones install of a fully updated XBMC4GAMERS with only the artwork installer installed and I'm kinda stuck as to think what else to try or whether I'm just expecting too much?
  12. I just tried the delete option on the thumbnail script and it's made a huge difference! It's back to how it was before now! Thank you so much. I'll still play with the cable and adapter with the different versions of Cerbios as you say, but at least it's not minutes for it to boot up now.
  13. It's had Cerbios on it from when I bought it a few months back. It's now booted, but took forever. I think it may be the IDE to SATA adapter so I have a Startech one coming. It's a 2TB drive formatted using the Hazeno guide so G is deleted, F formatted to max, etc. I'll see if the Startech adapter helps and I'll run the script you mentioned as well. I also have a new 80 wire IDE cable coming which can't hurt to try as well. Thanks for the tesponse.
  14. And now after adding the custom folders for the artwork installer to scan, it went through and added all the artwork without an error, but it locked up after exiting the installer and now I can't boot into XBMC4GAMERS anymore. I just get a blank screen after the Cerbios Animation. I'm running Cerbios on a TSOP modded console and even Safe Mode locks up after showing the Safe Mode screen now.
  15. Hi all, Bit of advice please. I'm running XBMC4Gamers and I had to copy over my games again to my F drive after previously getting the artwork working as some games were corrupted when they were copied over, but now I can't get any art work or synopsis to show apart from the default thumbnail for each game. Resources is enabled, and trying to re-run the artwork installer doesn't do anything. Any ideas? Games launch fine. Edit: I have the games in alphabetical folders this time, so added custom paths in the artwork installer and it's installing artwork now.
