  1. I completely agree, I was so busy asking if it could be done I never considered if it should be done lol. Someone on another forum that wont be named here, told me it was impossible to internally water cool an Xbox. I'm well over $500 in parts plus all the personal time I spent on it. A fan upgrade is much more economical and cost effective. More a labor of love than anything. Its one of a kind, and that has value to me.
  2. Yes I wanted internally cooled which limited my radiator size. I'm happy with temps, especially after the repaste and mount adjustment. Not looking to overclock. Just wanted cooler temperatures for longevity and I had never seen it done internally before.
  3. From what I can gather about 120F (50c) is normal. This Xbox was running really hot before the mod. The chip is apparently capable of 176F (80c) before shutting down.
  4. OK. Thanks to you fine folks here on OgXbox.com, I spent my entire day doing maintenance to this beast. I had a loose mount on the cpu block which was probably causing higher temps than expected. New fluid, thermal paste, and touched up some soldering. Temps are much better.
  5. Nope just stock cpu, no overclock
  6. It's about due for a repast and fluid change. I'll recheck temps at that point. Might be a mounting or paste issue. Have not had any issues with it though
  7. I second this also ram chips
  8. Alright internal pics of blocks, wiring and tubing.
  9. It was running at 60c - 65c before
  10. Here's some pics not operating. It's operating at 117*F during gaming. I'm planning on opening it next week to add 4 more 40mm fans and button up the wiring and can take some pictures of the guts exsposed then too. If anyone would like a parts list I can put that together too.
  11. Hey guys new here. Recently got back into case modding. Decided to give water cooling a try. Total over kill but Ive never seen it done. This is the result. Let me know what you think!
