I had no problem downloading it from firedrop using TiZ's Downloads > Microsoft Xbox > Tools > c-xboxtool207 download button. Must have been a temporary network problem.

The latter will make booting into unleashx almost instantly, only issue is when entering these menus there will be a slight delay as it caches the titles.

Most hard drives have extra (spare) sectors on each track if there are any bad sectors. Those spare sectors are mapped by the drive to replace a small number of bad sectors. Not exactly sure how many spare sectors current HDDs set aside for remapping.

Windows can't read the FATX filesystem but doesn't need to. You can't access the HDD to see the contents with Windows Explorer.
PC cloning software that makes a sector-by-sector copy of one HDD to another without regards to the filesystem should work for same sized HDDs. If changing drive sizes, I think PC cloning software will NOT work.
Without a modchip installed, the HDD has to be locked using the Xbox's EEPROM backup (HDDKey) where the HDD will be installed.

Not sure there's a 100% solderless adapter for the Aladdin XT plus 2.
D0 has to be connected to the D0 point of the motherboard.
As pin 4 is not used on the LPC debug header, modchips with solderless adapters routed connection to D0 through that pin on the modchip's pin header.

V1.6 LPC Debug Header. Note via hole present for pin 4 but modchip installation instructions for v1.6 Xbox's tell you to first pull pins 4 (signal ??) and pin 6 (always on 5Vdc instead of switched as with prior Xbox versions) from the header before installation/soldering.

The modchip's called Aladdin XT plus 2 instead of Pro 2.
Hexen doesn't require DL DVD media - it's not that large. DVD-R 4.7GB media works.
Is it the 2017 updated release? (Available here and here.)
Is it burned correctly? If you insert the disc into a PC what happens?
You should not be able to see a directory list of the files on the disc but get an error -- the disc format is for an Xbox not a PC.
If you can view the disc's directory, burn the XISO image to DVD-R media again using "Burn Image to disc".

Just unlocking the drive shouldn't give this error on a hard modded Xbox. (On a softmodded Xbox upon next boot, you'd see Error 5 (HDD not locked error).
Do you have a couple Xbox HDD's lying around and mixed them up?

After its ready it should say something like "Done"
When it is ready just turn off your xbox. Disable your chip and try to boot original. Now there should be no more error.Stop at the "preferrably with a Slayer Evo-X Cd" and instead use a HeXEn 2017 installer disc.

Depends, v1.2 - v.15 Xbox Delta and Foxlink power supply unit (PSU) swap okay but not a v1.6 Delta PSU to a v1.2-1.5 Xbox. The 1.6 Delta PSU. is not compatible with other Xbox PSU's.

XDVDMulleterBeta10.2 can extract the game file set from a ReDump approved ISO. I think this ISO is the same as a KREON drive game disc backup.

Yes, v1.0-1.5 Xbox motherboard's have 4 solder pad sets, 2 on top and 2 on the bottom, for installation of an additional 64MB of RAM.
One can purchase new parts online. Thereby not doubling the workload -- unsoldering them from one motherboard and soldering back on a different one. Order parts that match the part number of those currently installed. There are 3 different versions of the Samsung RAM chips;
- Xbox Versions 1.0 - 1.1 = K4D263238M-QC50
- Xbox Versions 1.2 - 1.3 = K4D263238D-QC50
- Xbox Versions 1.4 - 1.5 (1.6a?) = K4D263238F-QC50
Not sure matching is 100% necessary. The M, D and F designator denotes which silicon die Samsung used to manufacture the memory chip (updates to the design layout). Functionality should be the same but if in doubt be safe and match them as Floydzabarber suggests in his video tutorial below.
Make sure that your soldering iron is electrostatic discharge (ESD) safe. Don't blow the chip during unsoldering/soldering.

Where's "it just shows up as a video of xbox game disc"? What's that mean? It only plays the short video seen when you insert an Xbox game disc in a DVD player.
How'd you backup/create the disc? burn the image?

What BIOS is flashed to the TSOP? I'm thinking iND-BiOS 5003!
You can access ISO's with a limited set of hacked BIOS's just like you can with nDure and NKPatcher.
BIOS versions supported (some are for softmod use - original MS BIOS's and others hardmod use - modchip/TSOP) include:
- 3944
- 4034
- 4817
- 4981
- 5003
- 5035
- 5101
- 5530
- 5713
- 5838
I have my Xbox setup this way. The only snag I have is once an ISO is mounted the Xbox has to be power cycled to get it unmounted.
IGR inside the game returns to the beginning of booting up the game and not the dashboard as it does on a softmod.
There may be a way around this issue but I've yet to take the time to figure it out.

You sure you placed them in correctly. They are polarity sensitive.
The positive (+) terminal, not labeled on the cap goes on the side with the + printed outside the silk-screened circle and the negative lead has the widestrip down the side with a '-' minus symbol printed in it a couple times. This lead should line up the wide white band of the silk-screened placement circle on the printed circuit board.

As I think you've now found out.
I usually mention that fact when telling people to replace electrolytic caps but see I did not here.

I'd load the unpatched official release M8plus_16.bin file in EVTool 1.0.9 again, Leave the DVD Drive Check box checked, save the BIOS .bin to a new file name and reflash the modchip. See what happens now without a DVD drive. Make sure the console refuses to boot without the DVD drive installed.
Next, load this patched BIOS's .bin and uncheck the box and save to a new filename and reflash to the modchip and verify the setting changed so the Xbox boots as expected without the DVD drive.
