    What Bios are you using?

Some Bios's are set to no G drive.

    Cheers

    SS Dave

Soft modding is like having a wank, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.

    How is your Xbox modded?

If Softmodded, which softmod package did you use.

If Hardmodded, which BIOS is being used.

It was first softmoded with Rocky5's xbox-softmodding-tool, and also now running BIOS ind 5004.67

  2. Hello, I've just upgraded my hard drive. Added a 80-wire 40 pin and with a pata to sata adapter.

It cloned just fine. I selected selective partition (C,e,f and g) as it stated G would take the rest of the space. It's a 500Gb hard drive.

But.. It says partition G is 0Gb available.. And F is at 120Gb. But XBpartitioner 1.3 sees G at around 300Gb. So why isn't it available for me to use?

But really F can take it all correct? So no need for G..?

Okay, I disabled partition G and filled partition F with all it can have(it said 400Gb ish) and I wrote that to the disk with XBpartitioner 1.3. And now it says it only has 246Gb... Where did the rest go... I'm lost :D

    UPDATE:

okay... UnleashX shows me under storage menu that is "sees" 469Gb ish.. But only available 246Gb... But the partition is empty???

    Anyone got a clue?

    Xecuter 2.3 Lite

More pictures can be found of it here (Scroll down till you see the version you have).

Don't find installation instructions on that exact version.  It seems to have had a short lifetime as the Wayback Machine's captured pages are for installation of the X2.3B Lite.  Nothing easily found from the time teamxecuter's website went from Tutorials Coming Soon (12/31/2003) until X2.3B Lite Wire or Pin header installs (02/14/2004) or LitePlus tutorials were saved.  There's a couple month gap where the Wayback Machine was not capturing new content of the teamxecuter.com website.

Thank you or the link :) It was already installed when I opened my old Xbox. So I am good :D Just finished removed clock cap and cleaned the mobo a bit. It fired up nice. Currently backing up its hard drive. It's most likely never been turned on in like 10 years or so...

Its sad that all the info from that website is almost gone....

  4. Hello guys! I just dug through every single corner of my parents basement.. With success I found my first ogXbox! That I remember my dad knew someone who modded those. I also remember it was of course. Tons of installed games :D But my question, what modchip is this? I can't really remember what it was... And I can't turn it on yet.... Have to remove clock cap, cleaning and so on.

So now I've got my first OGXbox and my new OGXbox :D

With IND bios there is a config file on the c:drive you should be able to set it there or hexen can change the default dash as well

    Cheers

Those that can Hard-Mod. Those that can't Soft-Mod.

    Ahh I see!!

    I changed DASH1 from: DASH1=\Device\Harddisk0\Partition2\evoxdash.xbe            to: DASH1=\Device\Harddisk0\Partition1\Apps\XBMC\default.xbe

    In a file named ind-bios.cfg

    And it worked flawlessly! Thanks.

Thanks naits.  But That doesnt help much.   I can FTP in, I just don't know how get it going again.. I am running it on a TSOP v1.0, which already had the softmod files removed.

Np man, I am out of ideas for now.. I will post back if I find something related to this. :) Good luck!

You will find that any time you use the Hexen disk it defaults your dash.

I use a SlaYers disk that leaves thing alone and doesn't leave a foot print on your hard drive.

Have a look at XBMC4Gamers but the choice of Dash is a personal thing.

Ahh okay, well I guess I am making a slayers disk then ;)

But yea XMBC4Gamers, I have it as an app right now.. But I would like it to boot that as default, but I am not sure how to change that at the moment.. So I am looking into that :D

And it's currently downloading MAME emulator, so I gotto wait for that...

    All good

I would not touch Hexen with a 20foot barge pole, the final straw for me was I tried to use one of the apps on the disk and when I rebooted the Xbox my dash had changed.

    Cheers

    SS Dave

Hehe, yea after I used it the dashboard changed a bit.. But for now it's fine by me. But I've seen some nice ones here and there.. Do you recommend any specific ones? :)

    I bought these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Motherboard-capacitors-for-Original-Xbox-console-Version-1-6-ZedLabz/372766644827?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

But they are specific for the 1.6. I have not located a set that works for the other models yet. But i do need one for me 1.4, same as you.

Thank you :) I guess I could just look at the caps, the next time I have my Xbox open... To see the details of what they are.. So I/we can just get replacements that way.

    Just found this site: https://no.farnell.com/c/passive-components/capacitors

I can’t seem to ftp them in

can I burn them to disc and copy them in from file manager in UnleahX?

Are you using FTP while the Xbox is on the fatal error image?

if so, try to run Rocky5s extra disc and then FTP into the Xbox.

    Hey (Heisann)

Removed the clock cap on the 1.4 xbox of course, but on the 1.6 you are no supposed to remove it. It has to be replaced. 1.6 is not like the other models.

I am going to replace all the other caps. A set of caps for the 1.6 on was very cheap.

    Hehe, Heisann ja.

Yes on the 1.6 it's a different story ;) Ahh I haven't thought about doing that.. That might be something I could do to mine as well. I've got a 1.4 Xbox. Any possibility you might send me a link to the set of caps you bought? :)

    Hi,

    Norway checking in!

Back in early 200s i owned a chipped xbox, but sold it. In the last two weeks I have suddenly bought a chipped, and an original xbox. IDE/Sata-adapters 80-wires cables, capacitors etc are on the way from ebay and I have spent alot of this weekend downloading and unpacking games.

Man its so much fun! Thanks for this excellent forum guys!

Norway here as well! Just got hold on a xbox last week. So far I've softmoded and flashed my TSOP. Only waiting for 80-pin ribbon cable and a sata adapter.

You going to replace the clock cap? It's okay to just remove it. If you plan to softmod it will receive the time from the internet anyway.

I owned an og xbox when it first came out as well. But suddenly a couple of weeks ago, i got the urge to get one and turn it into a EMULATION box.

    And greetings to you!

    Appreciate the info. Thanks.

It says: “Easy configuration via .cfg file. Can also be edited or created with iND-BiOS Config App.”  Any idea where I find that?

I've not tested this myself.. As I've just flashed my TSOP for the first time.. Today.. ;)

    I found this post:

Copy Xblast to the C drive and copy the bios.bin to a folder c:/bios

I've have now been successfully flashed! I ended up using Hexen 2018.. I didn't get xblast to boot for whatever reason.

I chose the ind bios 5004.67 from the menu within hexen for the winbond tsop. And it worked.

    Thanks again.
