Would someone explain where to FTP Chimp 26812 to. I have watched all three video files and am still confused. I am having trouble understanding the accent. The E Partition folder has three files in it. 2 Folders name Chimp and XPB Table Writer and install instructions.. I take it I am supposed to put these files on the root of E Partition? But what about all the other stuff. Most of it looks unnecessary except maybe the Source File folder. Am I supposed to put it in a chimp folder in Applications? Tearing what little hair i have left out. Thanks

I am more into TSOP so I need to ask a question. I had a guy give me an xbox several years ago at a yard sale. He had softmodded it but then burned the pads off doing a TSOP. (Not laughing I've done it too). He used SID don't know what version. Anyway I brought it home and backed up the eeprom. I still have the backup.. But then I upgraded the mod using Rocky5 extras disk. Then nulled the harddrive key. Now my question is "Do I need to backup the EEPROM again after I done the upgrade. Not sure how I would make a new hard drive from scratch for a softmod since I've never done it.. Thanks

Yep.. I was watching the wrong Youtube Video.. I was making it way to hard. But correct me if i'm wrong. If I do a TSOP with Hexen, it pretty well wipes out the softmod doesn't it? Seems like there was an option in Hexen 2017 to remove the softmod. I know you softmod to be able to read the Hexen disk. But in the long run, unless I just leave one softmodded, it doesn't do much good.

I have softmoded several Xbox's using SID 5.11 but It's old and I want something newer. I donwloaded Rocky5 v1.1.5 and am having some trouble. The video that is referenced is not the same version and I think has some stuff missing. I am using Splinter Cell and have located the folders 5553000C and 21585554. But shouldn't there be another program like SID 5.11 to go along with theses? I see no mention of this and honestly a little lost. If someone could give me a hand I would appreciate it. Thanks for any and all advice.

I will just add that usually when I find them the writing is wore off and is unreadable. When this happens it's easier to just take them apart and look at the video chip.

I bought one that I had to replace the motherboard. Clock Cap killed the front traces. It was a 1.4. I replaced the motherboard with another V 1..4. It was about all I could do. It has a home in my bedroom now.

Just wanted to stop by and say hello. I have been an XBOX guy a long time. I have TSOP'd about 10. I was a member of another site that was recently shut down. So I have moved here. Does anybody know about the Hexen2019 disk? Is it any good? Anyway just stopping by to give you all a shout out!
