The Bios files can be added from the OpenXenium menu and you can but a bios on a small USB to transfer to the OpenXemium Chip.

Hi, and thanks for your efforts!
My Openxenium chip in nice white is in the mail. I do not know if you are the right guy to ask but what happens in between installation and the os?
Let me clarify:
Im going to install the chip in my original 1.4 xbox using the installation guide found here: https://openxenium.com/diagrams-%26-manuals
The next document is just a user manual for the Xenium OS as i understand.
I this the correct way to do it all?
1. Install chip
2. Run for example Hexen 2019 to format my new drive and install dashboard(s)
3. Done and good to go\ for ftping games and so on?
Sounds about right as long as the seller has but a BIOS on the chip.

From what I have read in the past you need a XP or older computer to use the software.

Dave the console only accepts original DVDs and in any case no longer starts with the DVD splinter cell with which I could insert files..the green screen appears with error 16 immediately .. I was able to copy the eeprom from the motherboard and now I have to reconstruct the hard drive I think. I have an aladin chip at home but I am afraid of too difficult soldering and I prefer to unlock the hardisk to put the right files back and relock it. I have read some tutorials and I believe it is done with XboxHDM. I would like to learn how to install the hard mod but for now I prefer to rebuild the hard disk. (This Xbox is 1.0). I have a tutorial to rebuild the files on the harddisk by inserting eprom, but if you have another simpler procedure, thank you
The method of using XboxHDM would properly do the job for you and I can't help as I have never done it that way.
I don't SoftMod. I got ask once(15 years ago) to do softmod and I refused then 2 weeks later the same person is back with a Xbox in the same state as yours. At least with a modchip or TSOP flash the dvd can still be used to recover in the event of the wrong files been deleted.
From the quick read you need the HDD key from the EEprom file. If you use a program called LiveInfo it will show you the contents in plain english of the eeprom.bin file.

Been a version 1.0 once you have it running from a softmod you can reflash the TSOP chip with 2 simple links that can be done with conductive paint pen to enable writing to he TSOP

I am going to say that's error 16
Service Error 16:
Info: Other files related with the dashboard or dashboard settings (specific dashboard error).Error 16 means your xbox cannot find the menu setting with which you can set the clock of the hdd.
This happens to a lot of people that erase their hdd (original/upgraded) or MS dashboard files and after that they don't immediately install the hdd but leave the xbox without power longer than 5 hours.
Solution: You may have corrupted dashboard files on your xbox hdd. Use the 'HQ Auto Installer Deluxe' to reinstall your dashboard.I would fit a mod chip and run an install disk and replace the missing files or you could look in to possibility of using XboxHDM to replace the missing files.

No, the X3 BIOS's are only for the X3 modchip. There is an earlier version that's been modded to allow it to work on other modchips but X3 Config Live cannot be used - one of the whole points of having the X3 modchip and X3 BIOS.
The Xenium OS, XOS, 2.3.1 has a similar feature set to that of the X3 BIOS.
Yes you are correct I think there may have been blood in the caffine stream and I should not reply to posts until my caffeine levels are back to normal.

The OpenXenium can not have the X3-3294.bin as thats the OS for the X3 chip.
The Bios you use is really up to you, I use the evox M8plus Bios in most of my Xbox build's

Hi archfrank
What error is displayed in the TV?
Did you save a copy of the EEprom from the Xbox to a computer at any stage? if not a eprom reader will be needed to get the HDD key.
It's sounding like the drive is unlocked if it won't read the splinter cell disk and if that's correct then the easy way is to fit a mod-chip then you can boot a Install DVD and relock the drive fix the softmod and then remove the mod-chip, or leave the mod-chip in the Xbox.

I did say it's my version of the Mechassult game save hack and it's a single game save.
There is a Bios folder in the game save that has BIOS's in it or you can use Xblast to flash via the network.
You also have the option to FTP to a bog stock Xbox and retrive the eeprom backup folder that can be made from the main menu also lock/unlock a hard drive and any other option that Xblast offers.

I would suspect that the stock Bios Is damaged as the damage to the board is not that bad
There is a post about a version 1.0 Fraging.
https://www.ogxbox.com/forums/index.php?/topic/2623-v10-frag/
You could try that as a fix thats providing that's it not the 1st 256kb of the bios
Fitting your mod chip with out using the spider option would be the way to go.

I just switched back to X2-5035 on both and the FTP is actually easier and faster. I wish I understood why. I’d like to better understand what all I can set in the bios and how to do it. I’d like to change the flubber colors too, if there’s a working config maker for x-5035.
Switching back to the X2-5035 bios should not have made any difference but it has for some unknown reason.
I use the M8 bios the the DVD check off,No animation,No TM(trade mark),No Splash logo,No Evox logo.
You can set custom colors on the X Logo as well as fan speed and it makes for a quick booting Xbox.

Any mod chip with the cheapest been a Aladdin chip but there will be a wait because china has a small problem at the moment or any 2nd hand would be ok and last but not least the Open Xenium chip designed by one of the forum members Ryzee119 and if you go that way you might as well leave it in the Xbox.
Have a look on ebay for one

So, i got out of the xbmc4gamers dashboard and went to the UnleashX dashboard. I typed in the ip address on the unleash X dashboard
Xbox Static IP address: 192.168.1.250 WOULDN'T connect in filezilla
Changed it over to DCHP.. Reset xbox... went to unleash X dashboard... ip address is now: 192.168.0.17 (DHCP)
It connects with the weird Date Folders, I screenshoted above. It's Really strange.
What drive are you looking at on the Remote site/Xbox?

The power on should be ok at that as it's telling the power supply to start and the other voltages are a tad low but still ok
It the Xbox Mod-chipped,Flashed or Soft-modded?
I would be checking the caps near the 20 pin power connector, post a high quality pic of the main board.

did he Really FTP ALL THOSE GAMES!?!?!
if you can figure out how can add games to it. that'd be great!
I have FTP'd the same to and Xbox with a 2tb HDD It's slow but you set and forget about it for a day or 2.
The seller would be using a stand alone hard drive cloning device.
What was running on the Xbox when you were trying to FTP to it with FileZilla?

This is the screen on my version of the Mechassault Game save hack.
1st Test the Xbox before you go to far then open the Xbox clean it remove the clock cap and add the 2 links to enable flashing.
2nd Reassemble it and test to make sure it's still working.
3rd Copy the game save from you memory card/USB to the Xbox and if the same game save is there already there remove it 1st then copy.
4th load the game in this case Mechassault and launch the game save.
5th If you have put a BIOS in the game save files bios folder you can use the Flash Bios menu or you can use Xblast to flash the BIOS via a network connection,.
6th TSOP Flash compleat.
Now fit a new Hard drive and using you favorite install disk do a clean install.
Games the can do this are 007 Agent Under Fire, Mechassault,Splinter cell,Tony Hawks Proskater 4.

Hi malfunctionjones
What method did you use to SoftMod it.?
When you say it's bricked what's it doing anything on the screen.?
Will it still load a genuine game disk?
The easiest way is a mod chip at $5.50 usd from amazon.
