Right I see, not sure there is a point in doing this as it would be quite alot of work both in hardware and custom kernel to enable this kind of functionality. Right now the only option is re-encode videos to ensure they use hardware decoding or use a modern device for hardware decoding of modern codecs.

I think there are a couple of issues - pin density, space around the IC and there are other points that need to be connected (assuming it would be similar to MakeMHz points). The other thing is ensuring the clip doesn't unclip. I think clips are good for temporary things but not necessarily long term.

I'm in Australia and although I've already installed the MakeMHz HDMI mod I've also recorded it with the intention of releasing a video for my future channel on YouTube. In any case I'd be happy to test your HDMI mod out. I'm not necessarily a fan of needing a modchip for the purpose of getting better HDMI support e.g. MakeMHz kernel patches or their new project. They are cool to have but if there is an HDMI mod that does not require any of those and works 100% then I think that is a much better approach. For the other mods, if I get myself another Xbox for testing then I'd be happy to test those as well.
