    Someone stated that he thinks the 1.4GHZ schematic / voltages were slightly off /wrong.  Maybe this is it.

    So 1GHZ is better if you look for full compatibility with Xbox games and still have enough power for good emulation.

    I'll give this a shot when I get my motherboard in for testing cpus before install.

    And the last pic shows a final heatsink with slightly trimmed cooling fins and 50mm cooler on top. At the end both of the cpu heatsinks will look like this (Taken that pic of one of my slim builds).

    And yea, it's for my next slim build which I biuld for my own.

    This is for anyone attempting this for the first time:

     

    Ordered some ram from china new and as the one module I installed last night worked it was a pain in the arse.  For some reason the new samsung chips from china have shorter legs (Or slightly thicker module) making it real tight.  Spend 2 hours installing one. 

     

    Spent 20 min installing one from a donor board.  Night and day degree of difficulty.

    So I have gifted about 4 xbox 1.6s with 128mb ram and many are saying games are black screening freezing etc.  I'm going to try and pinpoint if its a Titan/Cerbios/UDMA5/ or 1.6 - 128mb issue.  This might be a 1.6 - 128mb issue as sega chihiro games also have issues and i'm pretty sure I played some of those on my non 1.6s 128mb.  If anyone has any info please share.

     

    I'm upgrading a 1.6 now so I can test.  I have a feeling this is bios related but need to be one hundo.

    Took me a while to Figure this out.  I believe in the past I would enable HD with xbox menu.  With unleashX I was able to fix this after a few restarts on all my old consoles (A few xboxes required a full power cycle off by unplugging power from back).  I used to think these were all messed up and would harvest the ram from these.  I bought 10 xboxes the other day and was able to fix all the ones that were stuck in low def even the 1.0s.

    Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.

    I have seen many 1.6s do this with no dvd hdd at bootup - Some show logo then error some stutter or freeze etc.

    This is correct.  The set I grabbed had 2 xbes and sometimes only one works or none do.  Not sure what was patched if anything etc.  Gonna try and get versions of all the games working.  I know crazy taxi loads then hangs.  Will see whats up.  I like to add Sega Chihiro games their own icon on main screen of XBMC4Gamers with nice box art n stuff.

     

    Edit:  So ghost squad loads then I froze after selecting mission 2.  Goin to try the test xbe now.  Edit2: Test xbe reboots me back into xbmc4gamers.  Gonna keep trying to figure this out as I thought all these games worked?

    Otherwise audio seems to work in stereo, I guess maybe I'll deal with this until the next fw update. They've said official titan support is coming so that's good. 

    Edit: Spoke too soon, I launched Fable and it had some crazy visual bug that isn't there using my normal m8 hd+ bios. Call of Cthulhu looks fine though, not sure about other games since I haven't really loaded the 4tb drive yet.

    Customer picked up 1.6 so I can't test that but I will test 1.4 as soon as I can.  Hopefully fixes come soon.

    I was able to test on an xbox 1.6 with HD+with an aladdin xt (Titan UDMA5 128MB HD+ bios on a 64MB 1.6 xbox)

    Long delay on boot like 10 seconds, then boot animation.  I loaded up the HD+ software and kernel patch loader detected so all good right? Sorta, if I change anything in this menu I will get a black screen on reboot.  Was tinkering with this and wiping my c:\ with a fresh one gets me back in.  Some tvs no picture some tvs picture and some tvs no sound and some tvs some games sound.  I'm going to install my othe hd+ kit into a 1.4 hopefully and see the results.  I think the bios has bugs or the HD+ is buggy, dunno yet.
