interesting... What is the purpose though? Youˋre saying that this holds a BIOS thatˋs normally loaded out of the TSOP or the LPC, and uses other methods to patch the boot rom than what we all use now? Was this just the first real way to do it?

Wait, Iˋm confused. Does this chip contain a bios or an EEPROM? ...and why does it look like an Intel 8086? Itˋs fuckinˋ long and huge.

I guess the real "Big" selling point for Cerbios is the LBA48 improvements for the 3tb+ support. Also maybe the "Dual HDD" mode I suppose.
If they can add UDMA5 to those and also Xbox HDMI+ patches then I can see this becoming the default bios for a lot of peeps including myself.
I certainly wont be replacing my X3's bios with Cerbios then and I'll be doing a fresh build sometime in the future on a fresh Xbox once Cerbios leaves Beta status.
Well said, Broseph. I believe Iˋve expressed similar views regarding the selling point of this bios. Currently, itˋs just the HDD features, like youˋve mentioned. Hell, Not only do I agree with you about UDMA5 and HD+ additions, but Iˋd like to see an X3 Config Live-like config live menu. But, Maybe that isnˋt realistic.

It uses a program named raincoat to flash a BIOS to the modchip/TSOP.
You can flash a chip using the Xbox version of Linux? Or I guess it would be more of a specific purpose build, No GUI?

I think I found the answer. You probably have an EEPROM password. Use this info to clear it and you should be good.
Man. Somebody had to have some pretty extreme-ass circumstances to have to password protect the EEPROM on their fucking Xbox modchip. Seems like all those password features did was give people headaches 15 years later.

I donˋt have experience with Kai yet, but is it required to configure Kai at all on the Xbox? Or is it just on the PC and all the tunneling and everything takes place through the PC? Your other Xboxes connect to Kai fine?

I donˋt know what you mean when you say you get an IP "for FTP" but not "for internet". Which software is showing what IP numbers? Dashboards, Filebrowsers, etc. What do you consider to be "Internet"? How are you FTPing? Which application are you using to do it? Be more technical and descriptive, player. Youˋre not using diagnostically friendly language.
