My Xbox is running a 160 GB IDE from 2007 or something. I needed to ask this about 3 years ago, I used Crunchbite's (on Homebrew Discord) 8 GB Etcher image to prepare the new drive then iirc I used the XBox Formatter to make the partitions (which automatically set the cluster size to 16 KB) then I copied all the C:\ drive content from the original 8 GB HDD via FatXPlorer and also transferred some games and homebrew. And at that time when I was using the stock HDD my Xbox was giving me constant 10-11 mb/s on my diy crossover cable connection to my laptop. After I put that new HDD in I didn't notice that right away but the max transfer speeds I get are around 3-7 mb/s on the same crossover ethernet cable. Is it related to the cluster size or is the HDD just bad or on it last legs?

Hello eve Hello everybody; I bought an xbox with chip as in the picture (an aladdin, but I don't know the exact model). As soon as I turn it on I see the EvoX logo in the left corner, but as a bios entry, it gives me "unknown". Naturally the burned games start. I decided to put a ssd of at least 500Gb, a samsung evo, so I bought an 80 pin ide cable and a startech adapter (40 pin ide to sata converter). Inserted the dvd of truhexen 2021, I inserted the sequence and formatted everything; the problem is that it never detects me more than 120 gb on F and not even G. Using Xbpartitioner 1.3 FROM TRUHEXEN seems to work, but not and if i put all space (458,31GB) in F it give "ER"....if i split F and G, when i restart the dash does not see G and F is 120gb...moreover, If I launch xbpartition from ssd, it gave me error "LBA48info not found!Custom partition will not work with this bios" (but from dvd start). Installing the new dashes (and basic program) and launching unleashX dash, I see the bios entry "EvoxM8 (1.6) and xboxV 1.4" .... do I have to flash the bios?

Hello World Let's discuss about Linux on Xbox Original, and what is it good for? I've read people use it to browse the internet and even watch Youtube throught a special distributive of Mozilla. Can anyone confirm launching Linux ports of Windows games on XDSL, and which ones? Counter Strike port for Linux would be awesome, never tried that, but found a port of 1.4 or 1.5 on the web. Maybe anyone kept a website on Xbox, by using it as server? What I was most impressed of, is the posibility of running a cluster of Xbox-es, tried that few years ago, but the update links for that distro were all dead, hope somebody has an image of a Linux distributive with everything set up or maybe can point on how to fully install everything in 2018. Do I understand correctly. that the cluster's power is all node's powers summarized, for example as the picture shows , is 12 x 733 mhz = 8796mhz? http://www.bgfax.com/xbox/home.html https://www.anandtech.com/show/1539/8 http://www.xl-cluster.org/index.php
