  1. That’s kinda like what I’m wondering, like it’s some sort of index of incomplete files or something.  I started to delete it, and it deleted like 3 games without, before I hit cancel.  Everything seems to function fine if I leave it there, but it shows up in the game list, which is kinda irritating.

  2. I used DVD2Xbox to put a number of games on my hd.  It created a folder /DVD2Xbox in my games folder, but it isn’t a copy of DVD2Xbox.  And I started to delete it and noticed it started taking games with it. What is this?  And if I can’t delete without causing issue can I at least stop it from appear in my games list in my Dashboard?

  3. I’m still hoping someone will answer if that will work.

I have a few other questions too. It’s my understanding that 2TB is as big as I can go in an Xbox. Since I am at 2TB, is there any reason to leave xb partitioner and configmagic on the hd?

I did a TSOP and a fresh install to a new hd with HeXEn. Now that I installled xbmc4gamers, do I now have two separate instances of dvd2xbox?  And can I get rid of one (probably the one from HeXEn)?  I’d like to know what I need and what I don’t from the HeXEn install. Like the EvoX dash I’ll never use.

  4. So, I went ahead and did it.  Man! What an amazing interface....  Rocky5 is the man!

I made it my boot dash, now I want to know how to make an access for running UnleashX if I ever want to. Is that as simple as creating an “UnleashX” folder in E/Apps, copying my original evoxdash.xbe into it and renaming it default.xbe?

And if I want to be able to leave CoinOps via “Dashboard” in the menu, can I just do the same thing with my “new” evoxdash.xbe, by copying it to /emus/coinops7/dashboard/

  5. So, I'm thinking about giving this a try too.  I have a TSOP mod, xbox v1.0, x2.5035 f and G bios.  I have a couple questions.  I assume I can FTP XBMC4Gamers to the root of E and run it, try it out from there, then make it a default dash later if I choose, using the renamed default.xbe mentioned earlier in the thread, right?

I have all my xbox games currently on F/Games.  I also have a few emulators and CoinOps 7 Massive on F/emus.   What could i do with the emulators and CoinOps in XBMC4Gamers?  And, if I choose to make it the default dash, how could I run UnleashX if I wanted to once in a while?

Me I have a old 10gig drive that I use to lock to the Mother board with a mod chip then boot of the MS bios and flash with my own version of splinter cell hack, I then unlock the drive for the next main board that needs flashing.

Can you elaborate a little more on this?

  7. I thought maybe it would boot into HeXEn still.  Is there a guide on here, on this specific case: temporary mod  chip, HeXEn softmod install, TSOP, then remove mod chip?

I guess the question is do you pull the mod chip after the softmod install, then TSOP?

  8. Thanks for the reply.  Like I said I already got it running and the new 2TB HD going. I’m just in the process of loading it.

I used the 512k x2.5035. Could I re-flash it with something different, if I chose to?  I don’t know that I would. But it would be cool to change the boot animation.

And is there anything different about how I go about changing dashboards, if I choose?

i kinda like how it is, although the transfers from discs (DVD2Xbox) seem to take a lot longer than I seem to remember.  I used an 80 wire ribbon cable. I wonder if I just got a cheap one.

  9. So, I already went ahead and flashed the TSOP, then put in the new new drive and did a fresh install.  I’m now having trouble with the partition formatting.  I selected even amount for F and G.  I think I hit the wrong button in XB Partitioner.   So I did the whole install over. I have it working, but G shows up empty.

  10. Hey guys,

I’m new to the forum.  Up til now I have only softmodded Xboxes, and it has been quite a while.  I haven’t had an Xbox for the last couple years and I decided I miss them.  So, I picked one up a couple days ago. It is v1.1 and have already softmodded it.  I also picked up a 2TB HD, SATA adaptor, and 80 wire IDE cable.  But I’m thinking that before putting the drive in, I’d like to try TSOP flashing it, then doing a clean install with HeXEn 2018. I have a small list of questions, hopefully I can get answered first.

First, I read somewhere on here (I think under the HeXEn 2018 post), that some of the bios have the dvd check turned off by default.  So this is going to sound dumb but, will it still boot from dvd (for HeXEn?)

Second, I know I have a 1mb TSOP (mine is the ST.) Can someone recommend a bios?  I don’t plan to use more than one,

Third, I’ve heard that after you TSOP flash, you should remove the jumpers to avoid accidental damage.  What are the thoughts and/or dangers on this?  Wouldn’t the only potential problem be another flashing?

My understanding is I need to leave the HeXEn disc in the drive before I begin.  Then I would take out the board, solder the points on top and bottom of the board. Then put it back together and boot to HeXEn and flash it.  Then when it’s done, I can turn it off, swap the drive, and boot to HeXEn again and do a clean install. Is there anything I missed, or anything else I need to leave on the hard drive? Like I said, I already did the softmod.

And is there a way to check that the solder worked, and I have TSOP access, prior to flashing?

    Any help is appreciated.
