I guess they are modified to work with JTAG x360 or some other modifications that make them different from the original content, but don't understand why that would matter for the xbox original.

Most of the Xbox's I setup the owner just want's to hit the power button the select a game and play. So for that sort of person I flash the TSOP on the version 1.0 -1.4 (Flashing the TSOP is the same as a modchip) and for the version 1.6 Xbox I fit an Aladdin modchip.
If the owner likes to experiment or want's to add a display then I fit an Open Xenium.

Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.Is there an option to install display while using TSOP?

LG - 8050L is the best but very rare, was added only to 1.6B versions and only to the "chosen ones". Reads all DVD and CD drives as the only one from the original readers.

Hi, I've seen some time ago that it is possible to run multiplayer only games by "fooling" them that Xbox live is running. I remember some topic about that on this forum but can't find it. It was about some game and playing it on empty server. Anyone could point it to me? Thanks.

As in the title, my xbox is TSOP'ed and splited with a switch for dualboot.

I use a Hitachi 1 TB HDD and it is very noisy, but then I've realised that I removed all 4 rubbers from under the case, I did put them back and now it seems to be a little bit more silent bc of the vibrations.
