All the Team Ninja games have amazing graphics... excluding DOA1 as that 's just a port from Sega Saturn

Is there an X3 BIOS on the chip? The Config Live is part of the X3 BIOS, so without it you can't enter into it. Do you see "Xecuter rox my box" logo after the flubber animation?
Also if you have a 3rd party controller try holding BACK button instead.

Did you ever find anything about that Xtreme 5 HDD selector? I think it's super interesting. It's funny how the full Xbox set is under 3TB but that thing now has max capacity of 10TB

After taking a 2nd look, I can now 'distinguish' the thumbsticks. My verdict is that this is 100% genuine MS product.

Need more pictures of those thumbsticks. Is there something covering them?
I've never seen or heard of a fake Duke. If such thing exist, I consider it more valuable than the real one.

I think the hardest part to fake would be the main body part (bottom of the Xbox). Ghostcases didn't have it and were also missing a lot other stuff like all RF shield mounts under the top cover. XCM did, but had no orange.
Even if orange XCM would exist, there would be a lot more discrepancies, like the engraved Microsoft text on the front panel and the jewel mounts.
I don't see any way to fake it. Other than getting ~$100K injection moulds from XCM (or Microsoft) and modifying the moulded product, getting them to mould a special one for you, or Goodwill faking it by themselves by color adjusting common green Halo ed pictures.

I've never tried XLink, but is there a way to prevent cheating? Like trainers and such.

With help of that x3 diagram, I was able to finally fix my x3cp, where the bank switch cable had been cut off near the connector and none of the wires had been marked. I soldered new connector which I took from the original x3 switch board (like the one in your image).
Interestingly the x3cp's bank switch cable has only 11 wires, as the unused wire (yellow in your diagram) is not present.

If you don't use XBMC or XBMC-based dashboard, I suggest using patched version of X2 (by ernegien), which "properly sets the cache type for the upper 64 MB range of memory".

Did not understand the first part of the question but the dash it boots is defined in the xbx.

DISABLEDM=1 at line 10 has to be 0. Otherwise it's still running retail.

I was kindly trying to hint that the Xbox you have is 1.4 and not 1.5.

I remember Spiderchip and its elegant metallic case.
One thing to note is that a 1.5 Xbox (if it would exist) would require an LPC rebuild to get the required 3.3v and gnd. So basically two additional wires vs 1.4.

Why did flashing a kernel file with XBlastOS break the XBOX?

The Xbox kernel is part of the Xbox BIOS, which resides in the TSOP packaged flash memory chip in 1.0-1.4, and in Xyclops chip in 1.6. In case of Xbox, you could even use the Kernel and BIOS terms interchangeably without annoying too many people.
The game discs most definitely were NOT capable of updating the kernel. That's not even physically possible because the write access is physically disabled by default.
