  1. TruHeXEn 2021

To all those wanting a proper update to my release of TruHeXEn 2020, you've finally got one ;)

Massive thanks to user "sweetdarkdestiny" here on ogxbox forums for the very  strong push to getting a proper release out.

Without their effort at attempting to clean HeXEn's old code, this update would have taken much longer.

This update mainly consists of general housekeeping changes to how HeXEn traditionally got tasks accomplished.

Just about every aspect of the scripts has had some level of optimizations done to them to make this the fastest booting/cleanest HeXEn disc to date.

All of the original features of TruHeXEn 2020 have been maintained as well as having a few outdated systems replaced.

Winbond/Sharp tsop flashing is now handled by Xblast OS instead of Resctoox for example.

*noDvd m8 Bios added back to the flashing menu
*IND-5003 replaced with the Xiso patched version
*Updated Eeprom Nulling tool added. One specific to each system (Tsop/Modchip and Softmod Systems)

The biggest change any long time user of HeXEn will notice right off the bat is the massively improved boot times.

This was accomplished by splitting up HeXEn into two parts.

Upon booting HeXEn will by default load into the menu specifically for Tsop/Modchip systems. There is a new option first in the list to reboot into the Softmod specific menu.

Aside from that most all of the features you expect are still present.

Love it or Hate it, TruHeXEn is here to stay ;)

Anytime you load Hexen to even look at the bios flash options it will set your default dash to Unleash by changing the config files on C and E drives and replacing the evoxdash.xbe on C drive to its own shortcut.

I've long removed that from Hexen. It shouldnt affect the dash files AT ALL anymore. If its still causing things to change the only reason would be from OLD residual files from previous Hexen builds still existing on the hdd. That was one of the main things I used to HATE about hexen.

That was something I think I mentioned in an earlier post here too.

I discovered that just checking the BIOS options in HeXEn results in it installing stuff you don't want and certainly haven't asked for. I didn't know it could and will do that. Its just the sort of thing I dislike any software doing - I want as much control as possible over what gets installed. At the very least I want to be informed before it happens.

So this is something that was removed from Hexen, it no longer does this in the current versions. I really wish people would let me know about issues within my release of Hexen, Literally NO ONE has said a thing to me about any difficulties or issues. The No DVD bios options were a recent addition by request of a few people, the bios files were given to me and told to be "good" If there is an issue with them I'll be removing them or if someone has bios files that are ACTUALLY good I'd love access to them.

It's difficult to improve a system when you get zero feedback.

That's just false. The creator of the mod has himself stated that you can do it without external programmer by hotswapping modchips.

Incorrect. you cant reprogram the lattice chip on a stock Aladdin via hotswapping. I told no inaccuracy's, you could hotswap chips and flash xblast to the sst chip sure but that wont get you anywhere if you haven't reprogrammed the lattice chip on the new Aladdin.
