  1. Ignore my cords, I’m in the middle of moving.
  2. I just got in a pound HDMI cable, and it runs most games just fine. I played Mech Assault and the screen is green. I tried switching back to the composite cables (RWY) and I still have a green screen on Mech Assault. I have went through with the pound and made sure all video settings matched on MS dash and UnleashX dash. Still have a green screen. The Mech Assault I was using was Platinums Hits. I loaded up the original non PH disc and I have no green screen. I would like to use my pound cable, but I have no clue how to get rid of the green screen if it comes on the original disc. Any ideas as to how to resolves the green background? -Rocky5, UnleashX, 1.6 Xbox.
  3. I tested it out and that works just as well. Either way, potato potahto
  4. I figured it out shortly after I posted this, and I am going to post the exact process because I couldn't find it anywhere. +Download the DLC, but make sure it has a .xbe installer. - When you install, look for a readme file, this will tell you if it has one. -Set up your xbox for FTP and place it in your F drive (Or wherever you have your Games folder) -Drag the complete DLC file over the specific game the DLC goes to. -Restart the xbox and go to file explorer, open F drive (Or appropriate drive), and select games and then the correct game. -You should see your DLC folder inside the game folder, and select the .xbe file and it will load up. -Install all the DLC, as well as the title update (If it has one) and the installer will give you an option to reset when you're done. Easy as that.
  5. I have some OG Xbox DLC I want to install through FTP, where exactly would I put it? I am thinking opening the file for the game and dumping it in there, but that doesn't seem like it would work. Much appreciated!
  6. I was able to learn quite a bit recently about modding and various programs. I have FTP the EEPROM backup on my PC. I will be moving into swapping HDD to a 1TB soon, but that is a thread for a different topic. Thanks again @ecstone, I really appreciate the help.
  7. Do I need to null EEPROM or can I just load it onto a different HDD?
  8. Just start an FTP and run FileZilla and transfer?
  9. I recently just softmodded my OG, and installed chimp as well as backed up the EEPROM to my USB. I noticed in settings it has a “HDD Key”, and I’m a bit confused. All I want to do is backup my HDD on my computer, so if I ever need to I can transfer all files to a new HDD air different system. That being said, what’s the next step in order to back up everything and run off my other Xbox should something go wrong?
  10. Thanks a million for the advice. Everybody in this community is very helpful and outgoing. Big thanks to ecstone for the advice and answering everything I’ve posted here (all 3 things lol). I removed my clock capacitor and it was an absolute mess inside the box. Acid everywhere, but I cleaned it all up and removed it, as well as completely cleaned the MB.
  11. So if the capacitor has already leaked onto my MB I should be able to repair it and carry on? I plan to back up the HDD and null EEPROM this weekend then remove the Capacitor. I’m not really good with soldering, can I snap it off? (I felt your cringe)
  12. I’m new to the modding scene, and I’m not an electronics wizard or software genius. I have a 1.1 and I keep seeing that I should absolutely move the clock capacitor. I have looked into why, and I guess it has a tendency to leak all over the MB? Can somebody clarify this for me? (This is the best spot I thought to post this due to motherboard alteration)
  13. I really appreciate an in depth reply, especially this quick. I’m going to get all the software needed downloaded after work, Im still waiting on my Xbox-female USB connector to come in today and I’ll tackle softmod this weekend. Seriously though, thank you. Lol
  14. Hello everybody, I am new to the Xbox modding community, but I figured I’d learn what I’m doing. I bought the OGX the first day it came out, and I’ve had the same console ever since. It followed me through my middle, high school, the military and multiple countries. Over the 18 or so years I’ve had it, she’s gained some memories and a lot of saves. Some of the saves are ghosts in racing games from buddies who aren’t around anymore, the final save before a boss fight on a game the platoon had played for hundreds of hours, just a lot of nostalgia and good vibes I’d rather not loose. I’ve been hearing a lot about this community, and you all seem to know your stuff! I would ultimately like to back up my HDD so when she takes a dump, I still have all the game saves over the almost 2 decades I’ve had on here. That’s number one goal. Number 2 is to soft mod it and learn what I’m doing so I can eventually make an awesome cutsom xbox that does it all. I am new to all this, so please don’t crucify me lol. Also, what does FTP mean? (I feel I just asked the newbiest question of all, IJGSI)
