  1. You can use the USB/controller ports for adding different controllers.  Even Bluetooth controllers are made possible now.

    I made a post

    https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/coinopsproject/viewtopic.php?p=72769#p72769

about wanting a better wireless controller option then what the original Xbox aftermarket could come up with in the original Xboxes run.  I found out that the USB that the Xbox can use any peripheral as long as it's USB HID.

As to quote my friend Pipmick "The Xbox only has simple HID-compliant USB 1.0/1.1 drivers for PS/2 compatible mice, some USB keyboards, trackballs and spinners."

So read that post of you would like more in depth reading of the research I found out on Bluetooth on the Xbox.

Here is Bruno's site. The guy that made this possible.

    http://shop.brunofreitas.com/

Here's the options you can use to connect your Xbox to other controllers including 8bitdo Bluetooth adapters.

    Retropad32 - all versions

    USB Retropad Adapter lite

Of coarse with some of the Retropad32 versions you with need to buy adapter cables that they sell.

Go research his products.  Thanks for reading this post.

well coin ops does look horrible

I absolutely love Coinops and always have.   I have always admired the simple structure of titles organized with gameplay videos and filters as easy as pushing a button.

it's not art based and I'm done with that.  You can sort all the games by name, date, system, genre, players, and etc.

It may not be the flashiest frontend but it's very organized and simple to use.  Not to meantion you have CPU speed adjustments embedded if you need to slow down or speed up a game.

I think that everything has it's positives and it's negatives and all have their place in everyone's Xbox.   I know my Xbox has several different ways to play games.

I love Rocky's applications he has made and I love BP's.   Not to mention anything and everything that keeps the love of this device alive.

  4. welcome - seems like you have done some research. I would start start with downloading the latest softmod tool from JCRocky5.  You will need to softmod your console before performing the TSOP modification.  Also, after you softmod, your board version number will pop up on the main dash as sort of a confirmation to what info you have.  Sounds like you are 1..2-.14 so the flashing options are the same.  You will also want to download HeXen 2017. You will use that to flash to your desired bios.
    step 1 - softmod
step 2 - solder your bridges
step 3 - run HeXen -  for this particular xbox you will use non winbond option, then choose a 256k bios.  Most people recommend IND-BIOS 5003 or 5004. (F & G).
step 4 - Install new hard drive with HeXen in Dvd tray - it will automatically take you through the hdd setup.
step 5 - once complete, install applications (you will need Xbpartitioner)
step 6 - boot into generic unleashX without HeXen in tray. Run xbparitioner. - see note below
note: Xbpartitioner can be a little buggy. Here is what i recommend for a either a smaller drive upgrade or a large one up to 2 tb.  Leave the first grouping of rows alone, you will be focused on the second set of rows (1st line or 1st or second line if you are doing a G folder (anything over 1TB will require a G).  hit A i believe to set those 1 or 2 rows to their max amount.  Example 2 TB will show 927GB in both rows.  Before selecting format, lower that number in both rows by one tick using the dpad (926 for ex.), Format by pressing start, then Y.  Reboot Xbox, Run Xbpartitioner again, and now set both of those values (or 1 if using a smaller drive) to their max amount, hit start, then Y to format.  Now when you reboot your new HDD should be set correctly to the correct cluster size and not show any ER (error as you may see in XBP until you start changing the values).
Then it's up to you which dashboard you want to load up. Happy modding
Very impressed with how much time and detail you gave to a stranger. You are one of the good ones my friend. [emoji106]

  5. This is great Rocky5. Several people have told me to use your xbmc emulation station for the original Xbox....... Now I have to try it. Should have tried it when you showed it on the CO forum but life got busy. Plus it seems everywhere I go there you are lol. Props to you guys.

I think CoinOPS Tiny Loaded has all the systems. It might also have a few arcade games but it does this weird black flash every couple minutes on the menu

Yes Coin-Ops Tiny Loaded has almost all of the smaller sized systems as core sets and still fits on a stock hard drive.  It does not have video previews as these take up space and were replaced by screenshots instead.  There is a pack available for Coin-Ops Tiny Loaded for two other systems not included.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but basically isn't what you are asking simply taking CoinOps 8 Standalone and adding in just the console emulators, roms and videos?  If this is what you want, I can build that for you pretty easy.  Just let me know the systems you want included..  Premium would look a lot nicer but it's more work to put together.

We are now on Premium Ninja Revision 2 at the moment.  View my YouTube to see Ninja

     and HyperVision 6

for yourself.  CoinOps 8 Massive is like a directory or like Library organized with less art.  You can always take a standalone like Incursion64 said and as the game packs you want yourself.  Thanks Incursion64.
