Mittyoz

So I've made a mistake (kicking myself now, but anyway, what's done is done). So I softmodded using Agent Under Fire which worked beautifully. I then downloaded Evox andn put it in the Apps folder on E and, stupidly flashed M7 BIOS to TSOP (which I had bridged the solder points). This worked. However, now, when box boots I just get a black screen with an orange ring. Googling this it seems this is because it's look for Evox and can't find it (it's not installed properly). From what I'm reading this might also be due to the box being both TSOP'd and softmodded at the same time? The other thing is that when it boots, I still get a Microsoft Splash screen (not an Evox one) but maybe the M7bios I installed doesn't have an Evox Logo? So I'm thinking I've successfully flashed but need to fix up the HDD to get things running again. I need to get some blank DVD's to hopefully burn a rescue desk, Hexen or other (maybe OGxbox tool?) Hopefully I'm making sense here. If anyone has suggestion of correct next steps I'd appreciate it . I used to do all this stuff 20 years ago but obviously with the passage of time and a dusty memory things didn't got as I expected!

Hi all. I have recently acquired a v1.0 console. I had completely forgotten but I still have an Xecuter 2.3b lite chip. I don't have the switch bank, but I do have the d0/ground connector. Looks like I should be able to install this chip on this console, and then hopefully flash with the bios of my choice. I think (from a very distance memory) this chip came from my original console which was then replaced with a xenium chip and I ended up selling it. So I'm hoping it still works. Quite happy to go without the switch bank and just leave the chip enabled/protection disabled which it appears you can do. EDIT pic of my mod chip and the D0/Ground wire. Reading through this thread, it appears this should be all I need... or do I also have to ground the D0 on the motherboard to Ground as well??? https://imgur.com/a/NOnAUSu EDIT one more edit. I've found the switch bank, but the connecting wires have died. Does anyone know exactly what the connector is called I assume it's something I could just buy on Amazon/Ebay? Seems it's a 5 pin connector.
