Strange things happening. The Cerbios6 bios won't boot anymore. The Xbox turns on and then off and then again on and the the LED is blinking red.

Yes I have it active on my xbox. Runs fine.

I set the Jumper to Master and it worked right out of the Box with the Cerbios Rom.

Tried the two cheapos and still not working. BUT I got another Startech and what can I say it's magic because now it works. Well that was an Odyssey up until today.

Guys you were very helpful. I'm searching for another 2TB drive (I have now a WD Green and a HGST; both do not work in Master mode). Maybe three times does the trick.

WDIdle is not compatible with WIn10. It wont open it just getting me the That app cannot run on your pc message.

Here are the pics The green one will come today or tomorrow. Know I think the StarTech is the culprit. I connect it via an USB IDE Adapter to my PC and here nothing happens there. Maybe the StarTech is at fault.

Well the 2TB SATA I bought was new. The 500gb IDE is used and now I get a 2TB wd green which is used for around 5000 hours. A 250 GB SATA SSD wont work either.

Yes the 500 GB Drive is IDE. A second 2 TB drive is on the way. I picked one of the compatible list.

Well when I try to boot a installer disc nothing happens when the 2TB Drive is on the cable. When the Original HDD is on the cabe it boots to the Installer disc. Tried now all Cerbios files provided and the only thing is that it stays on the cerbios logo. When I try M8 or X2 Bios all I get is a black screnn with the 2TB Drive. With the old hdd everything works. Found a 500GB IDE Drive. Here UnleashX (from the SLyers Boot disc) tells me to format the drive at start. Could it be that the 2TB is incompatible with the bios?

Well everything came today and I have to say that the HDD is not recognized even with the StarTech set to cable select and a 80 Pin cable. Funny thing is when I try to boot from the old HDD I'll get also error07 now. This wasn't the case with the old ide cable.

Thanks again to all here which helped up until now. Now I wait for the StarTech and the newer 80pin cable and then I hope everything works fine. If not I come back here and maybe we get it working.

Say can the Cebios boot XBMC at start?
