  1. I’ve put a lot of money into it already. Almost 200.00. I think I’m at my limit lol
  2. I wish! too far for me LOL
  3. For those interested in the HDD password feature (still newly beta feature). The hardest one is WD drives. Those can be seen in this video ( ) Seagates are easier. WARNING: There aren’t any checks to see if input data is valid and will provide a password with data entered. If data isn’t in correct format, the password will be WRONG. I will eventually write a windows program to make making a valid driveinfo.txt. As for now… do not rely on password feature as there is a lot a room for error and it has only been tested on my hardware and limited testing at that. This is off of memory since I’m out of town and do not have my notes. If wrong, I’ll change after I get home. SEAGATE 1. Make a text file named driveinfo.txt 2. add model number from label 3. Add drive serial number (no spaces between model and serial number.) 4. Save file to epbackup folder on microSD card. 5. Do an EEPROM backup as normal and in the txt file generated… you’ll see HDD Password entry. WESTERN DIGITAL 1. Make a text file named driveinfo.txt 2. add model number from label a. Add “WDC “ (note the space after C) before the model number. 3. Add drive serial number (no spaces between model and serial number.) a. Add “WD-“ before serial number. b. Add null characters to end of serial number to make it 20 characters long. In my video… my serial number (including the WD-) was 15 characters, so I added 5 NULL characters. 4. Save file to epbackup folder on microSD card. 5. Do an EEPROM backup as normal and in the txt file generated… you’ll see HDD Password entry. Enjoy and give feedback if it worked or not @gehx@Bowlsnapper@FrostyMaGee@Harcroft

  7. Do the internal version way more fun… and by fun I mean PITA
  8. I unlocked what I could. The packages of drives took a lot of damage in route to me. So final tally... 14 damaged drives (2 I fixed by swapping the HDD's main board for a good one) Approx 15 ish drives that worked did contain XBL DLC, but all DLC is already cataloged and known rest... nothing End results... lots of work for no reason LOL was fun to do though... like scratching off lottery tickets... hopeful!... but in the end let down
  9. I don’t know…. Haven’t tried as wasn’t needed. Copying buffers around and reading them via serial connection to drives results in password being revealed
  10. Perhaps the usb to IDE adapter I’m using
  11. I’m using FatXplorer beta 3 and it’s stating that it can’t use the master
  12. Nope... he incorporated the driver into his replacement kernel. Uses the controller ports
  13. Ok... yes... with a serial connection, you can have the HDDs give up their password without affecting the data on the drive. After unlocking the drive, I mount the E partition and let Pinecone scan for XBL content (Map updates, game updates, roster updates, etc.) This allows us to archive that data. Essentially DLC for OG Xbox.
  14. Same... made a batch of internal OGX360s... one for me and sold the rest... sold out in like 2 mins LOL
  15. Too Fast... update out: Time for another Stellar update! Firmware v1.3.0 - Native Xbox One and Xbox One Series Controller Support - Virtual Disc Sector Map Emulation - Improved 720P Boot Animation And so much more! https://makemhz.com/blogs/news/project-stellar-firmware-update-1-3-0
  16. not firmware locked... it's locked from Xbox. it's the xbox lock I have to remove via serial... because who knows what HDD key is LOL no eeprom backups so i'm having to trick the drive into giving me the password to unlock it
  17. Holy Moly!!! This is a lot of work! LOL every drive so far has been locked. So I need to use it's serial connection and issue commands to spill the beans (i.e. Password) then unlock it ... have a few back apples as well. 34 of the 63 down
  18. Via menus and using CC info (found by logging on to insignia via web browser
  19. Thank you! Glad it worked. You are able to transfer an XBL account to a new box
