    Which BIOSes have you tried?

With the xbins distribution of Evolution-X's M8plus BIOS, you have to load it into EVTool v1.0.9 then save it to have the LBA48 v3 patch added then reflash the updated BIOS to your modchip.  Doing so will fix your problem.

I tried this and didn't seem to resolve the issue. I believe the partition was just f'ed. So, I went and reformatted and now in the process of a week long or more upload via XBpartitioner to get all my stuff back......grrrr.

Thank you all for the help

  2. I cannot seem the get F and G back. I know the games are still there but no BIOS I have tried shows them. They both say 0. I flashed the chip from the XeniumOS.

On a side note I started XBpartitioner 1.3 and get the LBA48 not installed error.

    Please help!

    Thank you!

  3. Hey all,

Having some issues here. I fired up my Xbox after some time and Xbox wasn't seeing my games on F and G. So I tried to reflash with M8+_16 from both slayer and  HeXEn dvd with no luck. Here is the error I get. It was once working so not sure what's going on, I did reflow solder point and there are notl issues getting to a dashboard but my F and G will not show up. Also, I did not have the 1.6 bridges on the Modchip.

    Thank you for any help!

I had one and it's living in the junk box

I tested it on all versions of Xbox's (1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.4, 1.6) and even recapped one of them and it was still SH!T and  I have also seen a post about the GC to HDMI lead from pound and the poster was having the same problems on his GameCube.

I am sure that any one that gives it a 10/10 review has been paid for the review.

Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.

What issues were you and he having? I have yet to see any issues.

  5. Attempting a OpenXenium 1.6 mod and there appears to be an issue with the LPC board. I had it all completed and OpenXenium screen came up but after about 1-2 minutes (sometimes less) the fan will speed up, orange light flashes and Xbox powers down which appears to be either a overheating issue or there maybe some solder splatter I cannot see. I'm more than likely going to remove the board and wire it instead, or at least this is what I would like to do.

Is there a diagram out there that shows where the header pins should be wired? I have looked and have not seen anything. I do have another board but would rather wire it if this is possible.

    Thank you!

    Yes you can

As an example I have copied the contents of F drive to a different hard drive in a I5 optimax desktop ( so a slow PC on a good day) at around 100 gigabyte an hour.

I have also seen people reporting around 90 minutes for 500 gig on a good PC/

I have found for this computer if a select smaller amounts of files it's a shit load quicker (I might need more than 2 gig ram I think)

16 files was what I had left of the first batch of stuff and it says 5 min to transfer, this would have taken half the day otherwise!

  7. I figured it out, my drive was locked. I unlocked it and mounted the drive to X. I can now see all my files.

I had to use slayers 2.7 and back up the drive files (.bin) and ftp back into the drive and pull the disk.bin file.

Thanks guys for the help, very much appreciated.

  8. I'm trying to make my life easier and use the beta version of FATXplorer to copy an A$$ load of files to my HDD. It looks like i need to load and backup .bin to this and go from there. Now is that the eeprom back up or something else? I have the eeprom.bin but it said that was invalid. So I'm a bit stuck.

Any guidance would be much appreciated.

    Thank you
