Apologies for delay.
I'm located in Western Canada.

What version Xbox and have you tested a different Xbox with the same setup
And is the problem on a different screen with the same leads?
Whelp, turns out the issue is console related, sadly. My main machine is a 1.6b Xbox with a chip in it.
I had a Softmodded 1.0 that's lying around (doesn't get used because its still completely stock otherwise) and I don't notice the "line" issue on it.

I recently found my set of Monster Component Cables again for my OG Xbox, and I always remember loving the picture quality that came out of those cables. I had been using the Chimeric Systems HDMI adapter and have enjoyed it, but it seems to be producing these "visual" lines in the image that I'm unable to fix. (Shown in the picture below)
I was curious to know if there were any recommended component to HDMI adapters that would work well? I can't use component straight up as I no longer have an input source that has its own component cables, so going with HDMI is a necessity.
Thanks!
(Picture of the "line" issue whilst using the Chimeric Systems HDMI adapter. Screen brightness is due to the picture being a snapshot in between "fading to white" transitions.)

Seems rather interesting. I have a few games from the marketplace, i'll have to give this a shot.

Are there any notable differences with how this chip works compared to the standard red Aladdin chip? Or is it just a clone/older variant?

I've owned two 1.6 Xboxes in my time.
The first one had a Samsung drive in it, which tended to work excellent for reading discs and up until the console itself (not the drive) died, it was still reading discs fairly well, though it did eventually experience the problem in which having no disc inside the unit would cause the tray to get stuck upon ejecting.
My current 1.6 actually has the rarer Hitachi-LG GDR-8050L drive in it, and its been a champ so far. Reads just about everything I throw into it with no hiccups, and doesn't get stuck when there's no disc in the console.
As for blank media, Verbatim has been relatively solid for me, though they were recently acquired by CMC, so the quality of the discs might be different going forward. More often than not however I've had the least amount of duds with them. I've also had good luck with Maxell discs. I've not used many other brands that have worked as well as those two, but I'm told that some of the better options out there currently are CMC Pro (a.k.a. CMC's acquisition of Taiyo Yuden) and FalconMedia's "Premium" Line.

The one from Lukas was around 70 euro and will do control port 1 and 2 wireless if you use the MS receiver.
Cheers

Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
70 Euro is equivalent to 107 dollars here, for reference.

I would go with a Xbox 360 controller or a Xbox one controller.
You will need a OGX360 adaptor and a Microsoft wireless receiver if your using a Xbox 360 control or a 8BitDo receiver if your using a Xbox One control.
Lukas (N64 freak) makes a very nice ogx360 adaptor and the rest you need to source locally.
The one on the left is from Lukas and needs to be fitted inside the Xbox and can support 2 Xbox 360 controls
The one on the right is a external kit and is the original design and the left is from Lukas and internal only
The 2 types of receivers
Cheers

This is in Canadian dollars mind you. Its been rough for us canucks with the state of our dollar.

My only controller died, and I've been in need of a replacement, but eBay's often awful shipping prices have made my choices limited in that I either spend on a "knockoff" that might be questionable in quality, or spend quite a bit more on an OGX360 kit.
Would be looking for an original Xbox controller here to ship to Canada. I'll accept any of the colours, though Blue is the most preferred.
Please contact with price offers.
Thanks!

I recently obtained a 1.0 Xbox from a deal that turned into more I was expecting, that has the Thomson drive in it.
Drive is terribly unreliable, refuses to read most of my discs without issue.
